I like that kids are doing this to their trucks. It lets me know who to be nice to and have compassion for them. They walk around daily with acute rectal trauma due to their lifestyle choices.
@Coffey's Garage - Not sure if anyone has pointed this out but you're running 180watts worth of lights, at 12v that's 15amps. The switch you are using is only rated for 5amps. You put a 30 amp fuse on there... I'd highly suggest throwing in a relay so you don't burn out your switch, just a suggestion. I doubt it would be a fire issue since you have a fuse, but better to be safe than sorry and lose that nice truck.
I thought the same thing 😂😂so then how do you do it? I got 24 of em but drilling into my cab doesn't sit right with me. Can't find any other information

Thank you brother I appreciate it! Doing my wife’s Jeep and they’re similar lights without the wiring and stuff and I just want to make sure I do it right! The truck looks great with the lights as well great work!
What gauge positive/negative wire did you use? I used 18 gauge to extend the positive/negative wires from the module to my battery and the positive wire burnt down after a long drive right after installing them could this have been because I should’ve used 16 gauge or 14 gauge or because of heat somewhere under the truck or in the engine bay? They were connected straight to my battery but only the positive burnt down the negative wire was fine and was also 18 gauge and ran right along with the positive. Any suggestions?
mperez564 I used 18 gauge as well. I don’t think your problem was wire size. I don’t have a module with mine so it sounds like you have a different setup or rgb lights. Maybe try an inline fuse?
Coffey's Garage i have rgb lights it’s 4 pods with a Bluetooth module but the positive and negative cable coming from the module was way too short so I had to run 18 gauge positive and negative wire to the battery but only the positive burnt down after driving it right after install. Probably a “no-no” but what I do sometimes is just put the switch on the negative wire. Fused positive. Never had any problems.

Drilling into your cab is perfectly fine if you seal around the hole. Holes can be fixed. Working at a professional body shop will teach you that.
