    I like that kids are doing this to their trucks. It lets me know who to be nice to and have compassion for them. They walk around daily with acute rectal trauma due to their lifestyle choices.

    @Coffey's Garage - Not sure if anyone has pointed this out but you're running 180watts worth of lights, at 12v that's 15amps. The switch you are using is only rated for 5amps. You put a 30 amp fuse on there... I'd highly suggest throwing in a relay so you don't burn out your switch, just a suggestion. I doubt it would be a fire issue since you have a fuse, but better to be safe than sorry and lose that nice truck.

      Probably a “no-no” but what I do sometimes is just put the switch on the negative wire. Fused positive. Never had any problems.

Make sure you use the same gauge if you can! I ended using 12 gauge for some reason & the rock lights have like 24-26 gauge wire I swear lol, super small. I used 18 gauge to extend the positive/negative wires from the module to my battery and the positive wire burnt down after a long drive right after installing them could this have been because I should’ve used 16 gauge or 14 gauge or because of heat somewhere under the truck or in the engine bay? Coffey's Garage i have rgb lights it’s 4 pods with a Bluetooth module but the positive and negative cable coming from the module was way too short so I had to run 18 gauge positive and negative wire to the battery but only the positive burnt down after driving it right after install. I didn’t use a fuse but I feel like the fuse would just blow if I used 18 gauge again?

      mperez564 I would ask the manufacturer of the product sounds like there’s something else going on. Not the wire

      Coffey's Garage yes that’s what I was thinking because At first I thought you were going into the frame but then I saw you going into the floor panel and I was like oh god I hope he don’t live in Florida or in a salty place or up north cause that could be a problem in the future for you or someone else if you trade it in 😂

    • @YamRida468
      @YamRida468  4 года назад +1

      Busting Knuckles I do live in the north but truck doesn’t get driven in salt but also it’s such a tiny hole and blocked by the rock right and screw so shouldn’t be an issue

    rocklow-x led rock lights has some for $312 and its only 16 but there bluetooth and you can chnage the color options sound worth it or no? Looking into getting some

    • @YamRida468
      @YamRida468  4 года назад

      Ismael Dominguez that’s not to bad because they’re Bluetooth and you can change them! I didn’t go that route because the white isn’t that bright on multi color leds and that’s all that I want to run. But if you want to run different colors that’s not a bad deal
