It's #WayBackWednesday and we are sharing a video from last fall on Spiked Lug Nuts, we predicted these wow be HOT and they have taken off.
These 4.4" Lugs are available in both Chrome, and Black and come complete with a specialty socket to install them!

Which are better the metal lugz or the vms racing true spike lug nuts? They are around the same price point but one looks like its more well known.
I have a stock wheel 2002 durango and i like the spike look but i dont want it to stick out 9 miles. There is a mid length spike type but i only see them in like 14-1.5 and i need 1/2-20 24 pack. I also dont want to spend over 100 dollars on a set of fancy lugs when a 30 dollar acorn set is just as good if not better. I have sort of compromised and went with a 1.9 inch long flat acorn looking lug nut, not spiked but it will stick out of the lug hole on the wheel by probably 3/4 of an inch or maybe a little more so it will still look aggressive but not be a shin killer with my stock wheels which i actually prefer on the body style durango i have.
The black ones are powder coated? I have the black ones and they are all chipped and rusted only having for a year. Powder usually lasts 20+ years without rusting
You need to educate people on the two different style of spikes. Acorn and shank style. Acorn (which you have pictured there) and shank which has a collar on the wheel side to actually align the wheel. There are no videos on this topic.
I bought the spline spiked lug nuts. Do you guys know if they’re good?
I’m doing it for looks but they don’t stick out past the tires at least 4 inches

If these were locking lug nuts then I would be interested but I already have the 32 set locking lugs from gorilla. Sorry but anyone can steal your rims and buy that extended socket.
will you ever make any that fit a 2003 tacoma? kinda bummed out that theh dont since true spike ones are hella expensive

Need 9/16-18 1/2 shank 1in hex total length 4in. Want to put them on a lifted dually the ones they sell looks like toothpicks need something more aggressive what do you all think
We havent had any issues with them and they seem to work pretty good!

So what if I put spiked lugs on my wheels but want locks also ? I like the look but I don’t want to worry about anyone stealing my wheels
You already need a specialty extended socket for spiked lugnuts which not many people have unless they have them too so its already kind of a lock in a way!
im dealing with this issue right now. I bought the true spike lug nuts and then bought the rimlox wheel locks. you send rimlox 4 of your lug nuts and then they modify them to match the ones you want
Where can I buy the socket? Bought a truck with these on em and never got the socket. They’re 4.5 long so need like a 5 long socket and it’s 3/4 hex but I can’t find it Anywbere
I got some 26 inch rims that I got for a good price only problem is they are missing two caps that I can't find nowhere the rims are discontinued......so I thought maybe I can just put some of these lug nuts on them....there will not be any extra wholes showing if I do, what do yall think
Best bet would be to message the company and see if they might possibly ;have some left over or check out some online sales!

Why are these only for 2500-3500?

No because the diameter of taper on factory is bigger especially since they are for a dually they require washers and a different style lug nut. These guys won't know, just go to Instagram and search lugnutkingiv_group they spealize in lug nuts.

Some TIS wheels allow it in 6 lugs, but all 8 lug wheels will allow you to.

I drove trucks for years and never had trouble with other motorists. These look specifically designed to potentially cause havoc or worse for other motorists regardless of opinion. They look threatening and plum mean. Driving a bigger vehicle requires a high level of patience and professionalism.

A lot of 18 Wheelers use these. If the Truck and a motorist come together the lugs will penetrate the motorist car....tearing up the motorist car and maybe tearing up the motorist. Can’t believe these are legal.
Yeah, I see these all the time on big semis and I always wonder what if someone gets close to these, or what if a trucker starts to drift for whatever reason and comes into contact with another vehicle... That could end up pretty ugly. So what is the "point" for these especially for use on private smaller passenger vehicles? To make pickup drives look even more like a douchbag?

The ones on semis are just a a plastic cover and not a full metal lug nut. I know I have them on my Peterbilt.
If I’m getting into a accident with a semi truck spiked lugs are the least of my concerns..
