Getis Realis your probably right but my mechanic had a bike in the parking lot and said the bike just started spraying oil and this was right after he told me this was happening then he witnessed it 1st hand. I wish it wasn't true tho because I liked using them because I can change my own oil with them a lot easier. But yeah he said it had something to do with them not being g made where they used to be some other country makes them now or something along those line and they make them crappier something like that is what he was telling me
@777 - If that's true, sounds so typical now days of manufacturers sending their once quality made products to the cheapest bidder in some foreign nation instead of the USA. Dang I'll take their bids and weld those suckers the right way, but nope they worship the mighty buck instead of doing things right. Serves them right if what you say is true.
@Henrik - true, but I've also seen RS10 with no R on it for the rear tire, and the Bridgestone website does show there are 2 different tires. A Type-R and just the RS10 - www.bridgestone.com/products/motorcycle_tires/products/category/index.html#sports
@James - It's all good, I'm trying out the S21 right now, it's been lasting a little longer. I think after these wear out I going to give the Dunlop Q3+ a try, not sure how long it'll last on the street, but it should be fun once I get it up temperature.
You need an exhaust for that monster. I just put Brock’s predator full system with the ecu flash and power commander with the street mapping. Unfortunately I haven’t ridden the bike yet tho cuz it’s freezing right now in New York
@disarmyou84 - Awesome, you got to be dying to ride that beast now brother. You now have a 193 hp beast sitting idle, that's almost a crime - hahaha! Did you put on the F1 filter, do the pair valve plug, and what oil are you running?
Getis Realis I did the pair valve mod and I do plan to upgrade the filter to maybe gain a few more horse power. And I actually haven’t changed the oil yet, I plan to do it before next season. What oil do you recommend?
@disarmyou84 - Brock said he plans to do a video on Alisyn Pro Drive 21 Less than 0W Synthetic Oil and Petron Oil Additive 4-Cycle Lube using his 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000. He said he knows a guy that runs a 2005 Suzuki GSX-R1000 that started out as a drag bike, then street, and now it road races, and has used this oil since the first oil change. If true, than this stuff is amazing. I read up on this oil, and the word is even at 0W it's the best hands down. 0W oil allows the crankshaft to come up to speed quicker (faster acceleration) because there is less resistance against the rotating motion of the crankshaft. Brock is also going to do a video discussing if parts wear faster using this 0W oil. Can almost guarantee the parts don't wear faster. Should be very interesting to see of this ultra low viscosity oil will show up as additional HP or as quicker acceleration on the dyno or maybe even both!!
Getis Realis thanks for the info I will def keep a look out for that video. I don’t plan to change the oil for a few more months since it’s just sitting in my garage with a battery tender as the snow falls outside haha. Thanks for all your vids I enjoy them!
The steering damper on the Gixxer is electronically controlled and directly related to the speed the bike is traveling. The higher the speed, the greater the dampening force! It cannot be manually adjusted. If you're doing track days or club racing, I'd switch it out for an Ohlins
@ian - If you have completely drained the oil and put on a new filter, then add 3.5 U.S. quarts back in. You can always check the oil level by looking at the oil sight glass. Make sure the bike is level, the oil should be exactly between the low and high lines on the sight glass. The sight glass is located on the throttle side of the bike about 5 inches in front of the rear brake pedal. You'll have to get down on your knees to see it, a flash light helps.
Woolich,, and Woolich flash. i had my friend tune it .. hes from CMP. classic motorcycle performance.. jeremy weber. i got just the sprint filter from them.. but i got my yoshi from yoshimurard.
I'm 100% sure those are slightly different design washers. They do SQUASH, but not THAT much - if you squash it that much, it will definitely ruin something...
@Matt - Thanks for watching and commenting. You may be right, I just wanted to get the point across that it should be replaced with every oil filter change.
Agreed. The objection is to the precise words that you used - trying to make a flat style washer from the rather fancier one you got as replacement is quite likely going to strip the thread of the sump (as it's softer than the thread on the bolt). Expensive and annoying to fix...
The battlax Bridgestone tire as a whole is trash the wear way too fast and I can't count the amount of times I would try to pop the clutch in 2nd and 3rd to pop the front wheel up and the rear would just break loose get you some power 5's there's a reason you don't see Bridgestone winning any races
@jon - The bike was warmed up before the oil was drained. We don't normally take the risk of starting an engine once the crankcase is empty of oil, any small residual amount that remains is usually considered not important. All significant metals have already been trapped by the magnetic drain plug. Thanks for watching, be sure to subscribe to be notified of new videos.
Great tip on metal shavings on the drain plug! I have the same bike.
I hear that the nut on top of the KnN oil filter can loosen and cause oil to go everywhere. I actually just stopped using it and use wix now
@777 - Weird, because I always thought they were welded on.

btw the letter R is for REAR, go have a look at your front tire, it says F...
@Henrik - true, but I've also seen RS10 with no R on it for the rear tire, and the Bridgestone website does show there are 2 different tires. A Type-R and just the RS10 - www.bridgestone.com/products/motorcycle_tires/products/category/index.html#sports
What happen if i were to mix up both? Front rs10r rear rs10.
@Yasser - Probably not a noticeable difference in traction unless you're doing track days or racing.
@James - It's all good, I'm trying out the S21 right now, it's been lasting a little longer. I think after these wear out I going to give the Dunlop Q3+ a try, not sure how long it'll last on the street, but it should be fun once I get it up temperature.
Good luck getting a 190 on the front by mistake. 😂
Im curious on my 2017 gsxr1000r drain bolt it is a lil bit slanted,is that normal?
8:00 - Click on the "8:00" in this comment to see what it should look like when fully installed.

Getis Realis have you switched to the less than 0w oil by Alisyn? I hear once you go to it there’s no going back.
Thank you for the video
You're welcome
Good video and channel buddy . I like where ur number plate is mounted . Is it a custom job or can you buy them in the States?
@Ryan - Thanks for commenting. You can watch this video about the number plate: ruclips.net/video/v-SOdM_1mRM/видео.html
Is there a way to adjust the steering dampener settings?
The steering damper on the Gixxer is electronically controlled and directly related to the speed the bike is traveling. The higher the speed, the greater the dampening force! It cannot be manually adjusted. If you're doing track days or club racing, I'd switch it out for an Ohlins
Can you send me the link for those side signals?
nevermind got it.
How do you know when your at the proper oil level please help.

nice!!! check mine out! :) im sitting at 195hp. with sprint filter added, full yoshi, flash,tune,quickshifter/autoblipper,pair valve removed,02 sensor removed, baffle out.
@Flea - Sweet ride. The acceleration is very noticeable. I'm assuming these go fast parts are from Brock?
@Flea - What QS/Blip Shifter are you using?
Woolich,, and Woolich flash. i had my friend tune it .. hes from CMP. classic motorcycle performance.. jeremy weber. i got just the sprint filter from them.. but i got my yoshi from yoshimurard.

Just take the fairing off. Lot cleaner.
@jeffery - Yup, I usually do, was just showing everybody they could do it this way too. Thanks for watching!

There's nothing special about that tire. All RS10's are the same thing. Been running Bridgestone street & track tires for a long time (002 days).
You forgot to turn on the bike and rev out the rest of the bad oil
