    Great video! What did you use to make the jumper to reset the service

    • @vtxfan
      @vtxfan  2 месяца назад

      @@johnathanlee444 Thanks for the feedback! For the jumper I used just a piece of stripped wire that I twisted. I have also used a piece of paperclip, off of which you’ll need to remove any plastic coating 😎👍🏻

    I dont know why suzuki decided it was a good idea to put turn signal on side of bike instead of the old way with integration in the mirrors and tail. Im glad i have a naked bike, so easy to work on. Nice bike

    • @vtxfan
      @vtxfan  2 месяца назад

      Yeah I do like them integrated into the mirrors

    Hi thanks so much for the vid. Did you say a new crush washer when putting the oil drain bolt back on?

    • @vtxfan
      @vtxfan  25 дней назад

      @@Srt597 Thanks so much for the question, yes on the crush washer, I didn’t get it on video though. I need to do a video of the washer removal process in itself, it’s a little tricky 😎👍🏻

    That little clip for the dealer mode was just a bent piece of metal like a paper clip ???

    • @vtxfan
      @vtxfan  Месяц назад +1

      @@elithegreat6463 yeah it was a scrap piece of stripped wire, but I have used a piece of paper clip before (need to strip off any plastic coating if it’s on there to make good contact) 😎👍🏻

    Were you able to remove the original crush washer? I couldn’t. It was stuck on there hard.

    • @vtxfan
      @vtxfan  2 месяца назад

      Yes, in a vise with pick and pliers. Unfortunately I didn’t get the footage. I should probably make a separate video for that operation in itself👍🏻

      @@vtxfan A video would be great. I couldn’t find anywhere to grab that darn washer to remove it.

    I'm more os a Suzuki guy, but compared to how easy oil changes are on Kawasaki's without removing any fairings,,why cant all Bikes be as easy.

    • @vtxfan
      @vtxfan  Месяц назад

      Yeah, they all should design these with serviceability in mind, but I guess since this bike was designed before 2017 that wasn’t a priority. Hopefully we’ll get something entirely new for 2026🤞

    What a pain in the ass that was , just to change oil. No thanks!

    • @vtxfan
      @vtxfan  2 месяца назад

      @@jeffreykweller8825 It’s true that a fully faired bike is not as easy, but realistically (when not trying to record a video at the same time) it only ads about 5-minutes to the job 😎👍🏻
