@@LambChopRides sorry mate didn't mean to be so vague. Basically there was a gearbox fault that took 3 months for Kawasaki to sort. Very good review. Thanks much. Just one question - In your opinion, which one is more comfortable for long riding if you compare this one and new BMW S1000RR?
Hey Chopsie! What is your feeling of the GSXR1000R after being without it for some time now? I miss my bike so, so much! Everyone told me that I will miss my bike after time and I did not believe them! But I miss it now baaaadly!!! I had exactly the same bike with the Yoshi Alpha T System! It sounded great! Did you record any footage of the suspension fitment at Nitron? Would love see the video if you did. And then the how it feels after review. Custom suspension to rider weight and riding application is the best money you can spend on any upgrade in my opinion but few people do it and opt for bling items instead.
No unfortunately not as they took the bike for a week and fitted it. Of course they then setup sag etc when I collected it again. Made a huge difference having it setup and sprung for my weight. I would highly recommend it
Absolutely agree Husky 701, first thing changed on my Honda CB1000R Neo Sport was rear shock to Nitron, night day difference. LCR review of the bike was enough to sway my decision to buy!
Aye, you don’t buy a pair of jeans that fit from 28-42 inch waist and think, they’ll do. That’s what you are effectively doing by settling for OEM suspension that suits 9st-18st. For adjustable suspension, throw in a belt.
I put a 200/55 on the rear Michelin power cup evos- So much better!! Added custom rear set foot pegs, and have changed the padding in the seat to match me better, and encourage me to sit further back towards the pillion. I can put 500 miles behind me no problem at all.
Ok interesting ref the tyre size change.. next year I will do a tour on sports bikes also. I'm sure the bike can do long days in the saddle without too much discomfort, seems you've already tested it 👍
Same, i love mine but at the same time it has no personality. It's functional. It doesn't gave the 14b r1 roar or the poonigale scare factor, it's composed and precise for the most part
Some people are saying the stock steering damper is useless and needs an aftermarket one, is this true or are they okay with the miles and road riding you have done on it?
My only real issue (many others have it also): "Manual shift delay when getting on throttle if QS is enabled on menu screen." Suzuki official response: "You must turn off QS if you manually shift."
I've just bought the 2020 gsxr1000 , looking to replace the exhaust with a brocks system , can I ask what air filter you used ? Did you remove the 02 sensor? Keep up the good work love your videos
Considering getting a 2017 one of these. Is it better to get a full system or just link pipe and silencer? I'm thinking cost. However reading comments on here are there any issues just doing a link pipe and silencer then getting it mapped?
2019 Fireblade SP for road use for me Chops, the build quality on the fireblade compared to the GSXR is in a different league and how it rides and looks, but that's just my opinion

Great bikes arnt they 👌😎
Just finished a big trip around the Sierra Nevada mountains 2500 miles in 10days... Never sore a bit!
Lovely bike👍
Some people are saying the stock steering damper is useless and needs an aftermarket one, is this true or are they okay with the miles and road riding you have done on it?
Absolutely gorgeous
I really don’t understand the no torque comment about the FireBlade, i got all kinds of power above 3k rpm. The SP2 is bonkers anywhere above 3k.
I need to borrow another one Michael if I'm honest. I remember it being weaker than the gsxr...
Your bike sounds exactly like mines & I got a titanium Akrapovic exhaust.
Fading brakes... Common gripe from gsxr 600, 750 and now this. Other than that. Impeccable.
Yes not sure why Suzuki cant fix the brakes... Just put a Brembo MC on there and be done with it Suzuki
My only real issue (many others have it also): "Manual shift delay when getting on throttle if QS is enabled on menu screen."
Suzuki official response: "You must turn off QS if you manually shift."
Yes good point, it isnt nice to change gear without the QS. But why would you not anyway its so smooth?
Lamb Chop Rides The QS is awesome but sometimes I like to do things the “caveman” way 😉
I've just bought the 2020 gsxr1000 , looking to replace the exhaust with a brocks system , can I ask what air filter you used ? Did you remove the 02 sensor? Keep up the good work love your videos
Considering getting a 2017 one of these. Is it better to get a full system or just link pipe and silencer? I'm thinking cost. However reading comments on here are there any issues just doing a link pipe and silencer then getting it mapped?
Where did you get the brock syst from mate ?
Nice Suzy you have Lamb Chop👍👌 You can change the master brake cylinder to a Brembo unit with HEL brake lines. No Loctite/tools with you🙄😱?
Yes Hel lines coming, very tempted with the RCS master cylinder... Might take the plunge
@@LambChopRides Get the one with the adjustable ratio bab. I've got one on my ZX7R Naked (19mm) & it's fantastiche! 👍
Maybe we have differing opinions on what constitutes "faultless"... a shifter falling off sounds remarkably like a fault to me ;)
That's fallen off as I've had it off haha, cant blame Suzuki for my lack of loctite 😂
2019 Fireblade SP for road use for me Chops, the build quality on the fireblade compared to the GSXR is in a different league and how it rides and looks, but that's just my opinion
Hondas are dead, honda dont even care about the cbr1000r.. they only care for motogp
@@rawonboard7831 that's why they have just won MotoGP 😂
@@AldredsquashUk yeah motogp which their engines arent not available to the public.. motoamerica, brittish Bennett superbike, superstock and Worldsbk? Its Kawasaki, yamaha suzuki and Ducati bmw you never seen honda in podiums and for street racing no one races with honda
Aldred Squash Honda are for fat old men
@@rawonboard7831 they have done ok on the Isle of Man and I'm no John McGuiness so I'm sure it will handle my riding
