We need a Chopsie/BVG/Neevsey ride out. And I suppose you’d better invite Fagan along too. That would be a giggle. Sort it boys. Oh, and don’t forget the boy with a leg to stand on 🤔😜
I had a 2004 K4 for years. Magnificent. Smoothest engine I ever had in a bike despite the racy power output. No handgrip vibes. The engine to me was the 8th wonder of the world.
I’ve owned my Gsxr1000 K2 for 17+ years now, been faultless and still looks like brand new with my airbrushed rizla paint job and polished frame and swingarm, maxton suspension and full yoshi Japan tri oval carbon can with titanium twin outlets among some of the things done. She’s always going to be in my collection, ive had many bikes and let a lot go but she’s always stayed, and like was mentioned in this vid, if you want to get a bit silly the K2 1000 is more than fast enough to wipe the smirks of many a panigale v4, Aprillia rsv4 and even S1000rr’s on the roads if your balls are large enough to push.
One of the best bikes, ever. All my mates had one. It was bike du jour down at The Ace Cafe, back in the early 2000's. I was on a 750 at the time, then progressed to the K5 1000. Sadly that was stolen after I maxed it out with upgrades, otherwise I'd still have it today. What great times we all had on those gixxers. Magical memories.
The original gangsters, Baron Von Grumble and that Gsxr bike that I'll never forget you riding on that adventure trip starting out in the snow. In the snow! Thats gangsta :) Happy Monday brother
Had one of these that I commuted on for a year, exact same colours I swapped the 6 pots for tokico 4 pots, r1 master braided lines. Fast for an old bike ridden back to back with my flashed k6 1000 it wasn't lacking in the go department at all. Great bike
I agree with you regarding the torque,I have a K1,and you can stick it in 6th and still pull away very rapidly from 30 mph. It's a joy around town in thar respect.
Thanks Baron, great video . I raced a K4 SBK back in the day here in Oz, same lineage motor/chassis wise . I reckon what made them so exciting was that they delivered their goodness ,145ish stock/ 170ish race engine @The@Wheel and it was all over by 11K, not🙅♂️ 15K like the modern 1000’s I coach guys and girls on nowadays at track schools. No electronics etc and when they are so analogue, 170+ is a lot at your wrist/tyre … I still have mine, never selling it, worth $1.50 now😂 but what a machine ….. I love it . 🥰Gixxer1000
I had a 2000 GSXR 750 (Y) before the K1 but basically exactly the same as a K1. Absolutely brilliant that bike, then got a k5 750. Loved that even more. Then got a 2008 Yamaha R1 and honestly preferred the GSXRs!
When I was in high school around 1998 I always wanted a gsxr. Honestly the early naughties were the pinnacle of bikes. Rode a R1 for the first time around 2000 and honestly nothing compares today with the feeling these bikes brought. I own a new R1 and in comparison they just don't have the thrill these older ones gave you. Nice ride 👍
GSXR's really are something special, and you're bang on regarding the torque on earlier models. My K6 1000 is only a nats nadger off 60,000 miles and still manages to get the blood flowing into your trousers!
I’ve got a k1 750 and it’s honestly the most versatile and exciting bike I’ve ridden, it’s a shame all the new stuff doesn’t tingle the feels the same way these older bikes do 🤷🏻♂️
Can’t beat an older gsxr, bought an ‘04 750 without 2nd gear for 1500 quid last year as didn’t have a bike to take to the ring with Rixxy. Couple of weekends swapping in a spare gearbox from the track bike and she was good to go, she’s a bit tatty and done 37k but pulls hard and so cheap i can’t bring myself to get rid!
Got a K3 thou, same thing with better brakes and more grunt. Bloody brilliant machine, less weight than the modern crap and just as much fun. Well setup they are peachy 👌🏻
Totally cool! Been through 36 bikes over the years. Settled with, yet another, Gsxr 750 to bring Bach that yesteryear and a Ducati Srteetfighter to enjoy the current! Loved the video! Cheers…..
Bought a K2 with 15 miles on the clock as the numpty that bought it new decked it after what must have been quarter of an hour lol. It needed a full set of plastics that were K1 colours Blue/White. Loved that bike. Took it to Isle of Man Mad Sunday and it was awesome. I put a power commander in it, Arrow exhaust and K&N filter. Aah yes, also a TRE. It was lovely. 2nd gear at 70mph, sit back a little, take a brisk tug on the throttle and you can touch down again at 110mph lol. BOOTIFUL!
I passed my bike test in the late 90’s and always had gsxr’s and when this hit the market it was a game changer. The absolute best era of superbikes. But for me the best bike was the gen 1 Zx10r. It was small and compact so at 5ft 7 ish it just fitted me better yet it was the most bonkers bike I have ever ridden even to this day. Thankfully still own one in green. 💚
Your voiceover reminds of classic Peep Show 🤣 just bought my first Superbike; ‘only’ a 929 Blade but MUCK FE its fast when you wring its neck!!! How much faster can a RR-R actually be 🤯
Yo Chopsy, I’m gonna email you soon to see if you and Gregorio want to meet up, so he can have a go on my modified 2018 GSXR 1000R and compare it to his.
Hi Babes. This is a bit random. I have a ZX9 R and am real fed up that no one covers this legend. The label NINJA is used randomly on lots of Kawasaki models but the pure fact is NINJA is solely the original ZX9R!!! Have you ridden one? I can guarantee it’s too fast for road use and a legend on road and track. If you test one of these bikes you can reference me as BeLlenD.
I had K3, K5 and L8 (GSXR1000R). L8 was brilliant, the best qs/blipper I've ever had or tried. Sold it for the 765 Moto2, do not do track and GSXR was underutilized on public roads, prefer the revvy and light 765. But K5 was the pinnacle. If I could find a low mileage original one now I would buy it, it was raw in all the good ways and smooth in all the important ways!
My Suzuki SV 650 is 22 years old, it's a bit on the tatty side, the engine knocks and clatters a bit more than it should but it's absolutely amazing to ride. There's something very right about a few of those 20 - or + year old bikes.
Fabulous condition ! Great bike, I remember having a 2001 R1 club racing and the GSXR’s came out with instantly more power 🤷♂️🤣 and YES super bikes used to have room under the seat for your wallet etc. can’t even fit my glasses under the RSV4 seat !
Love to see reviews of bike of this period because it is the bridge between carb fuelled to FI bikes. Then in a couple of years, traction control came into vogue & the rest is history..
selling my K1 1000 as well, getting too old now and my back just doesn't like the position anymore, but still gorgeous to see her on the paddock stands in the garage, that is a very nice example of the K2.
I live about 10 mins from Loomies it’s too near for me to stop and chat shite but I wish I’d dropped in now - oh well congrats on the sale it didn’t hang around long did it!
Gixxa Boi. You should have worn a Blue/White paddock jacket, white trainers and a hanky hanging out of your Left rear pocket for when you park outside of the Blue Oyster Bar.
Bought exact model and colour brand new in 2002 ….When I seen it on ebay it was already sold….I was pissed off as Id have had it🥴…..great bike, great faffery 👍🏻👍🏻
I've had a k3 1000 now I've got a K6GSXR 1000 finish is like anything looking after them,, hope it goes to a good owner,,☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Brilliant vid, love this geeza, I’m new to riding as of last year. When you mention the tyres were low and the chain felt slack…what made you think that? Just curious if I could gain some knowledge there! Cheers en
Just to pin this that the bike is now sold - so don't get too excited! sorry but thanks for watching the faffery ❤
Saw it on ebay a couple of weeks ago. Wish i had the money to spare.
You bloody tease! ; )
Got mine for 3400 with 17k on her, 2003 k2, same colours
You rock brother
Waffling and general faffery is what I come here for. And rants. And good motorbike content. You're the Baron!
Man fills tires with air is a classic!
No spoilers! 😅
@@adamc209 🤣
Oooh lovely machine, if only I had more space, a few spare grand and it wasn't sold already. Great video and lovely to see Chopsy on the vid too!
Thanks Buddy!
It’s GSX-R Monday 😍
Haha, it is!!
Stole my post 😂
Very much enjoyed your 750 video too 👍
We need a Chopsie/BVG/Neevsey ride out.
Owning dozens of bikes, my k2 1000 was just on a different level, I miss it.

Had a k5 1000 absolute weapon.
Wish you would do a series on how you detail bikes, they always look exceptionally clean on video 👌
this one really is that clean - so did very little.
The older it gets, the better it looks. Amazing
One of the best bikes, ever. All my mates had one. It was bike du jour down at The Ace Cafe, back in the early 2000's. I was on a 750 at the time, then progressed to the K5 1000. Mine got stolen too 😢 I had a K2 GSXR1000 canadian model with a complete Brocks exhaust system and an extended swingarm
Looks so much better than new bikes in my opinion
Think so too, much rather this style
Oh that takes me back! Your tour on the GSXR to Spain got me hooked on your channel and eventually made me get my license and start riding in 2018.
The original gangsters, Baron Von Grumble and that Gsxr bike that I'll never forget you riding on that adventure trip starting out in the snow. In the snow! Thats gangsta :) Happy Monday brother
I can't believe you're selling that bike I would never let it go.
Unbelievable that it's twenty years old - looks immaculate!
Incredible Motorcycle , Suzuki absolutely nailed it with this Generation.
Had one of these that I commuted on for a year, exact same colours I swapped the 6 pots for tokico 4 pots, r1 master braided lines. Fast for an old bike ridden back to back with my flashed k6 1000 it wasn't lacking in the go department at all. Great bike
Great video Baron, she’s a beauty ❤ 2:07 😂 the gateway to the her canvas 🎉
Still one of the best color scheme ever
My dream bike, I'm 20 and had this on my mind since I first saw it in a magazine. I hope I'll be able to afford one soon
I agree with you regarding the torque,I have a K1,and you can stick it in 6th and still pull away very rapidly from 30 mph. It's a joy around town in thar respect.
It was my first motorcycle. Absolutely loved the engine! It was the supersport bodypositioning what made me change but man, I still miss it sometimes!
The K2 1000 was the last bike I owned before I quit riding 16 years ago. Best litre sports bike I ever owned.
I've been lucky enough to have several GSXR's in my time. My K5 will always be my favorite but a close second was my K3. Great video as always BVG!
Chris + GSXR = hello memory lane
Green lane too
I had a 2000 GSXR 750 (Y) before the K1 but basically exactly the same as a K1. Absolutely brilliant that bike, then got a k5 750. Loved that even more. Then got a 2008 Yamaha R1 and honestly preferred the GSXRs!

It’s a sad fact but in biking the past seems to be the future.. awesome video ❤️

"The things I do you for you guys" haha! Thank you Chris! 44 Teeth is entertainment, BaronVonG is a meditation.

My favourite bike k2, fantastic machine that brings a smile every time I jump on mine
Well done in the sale Chris. I'd have liked that bike, it looks a belter. I hope the new owner looks after it as well its previous owners have.
I just got my black widow exhaust from England for my 2002 blade. I absolutely love the old fuel injected bikes
I've been riding cruisers for 30 years, to me, it looks like it came out yesterday! Enjoyed the vid.
What a beautiful bike ❤ Love this model with this color scheme and decals. Looks sick af !!
Awesome bike. There's something unique about 2000 SBK before the electronics aids. They can give you such a pure riding experience
Your voiceover reminds of classic Peep Show 🤣 just bought my first Superbike; ‘only’ a 929 Blade but MUCK FE its fast when you wring its neck!!! How much faster can a RR-R actually be 🤯
I've just bought a K2; collect it in a couple of weeks, can't wait, it's a beast!!
K1/K2 are a blast. Much more enjoyable than the later ones. I bet you had a great summer!
What a surprise to see you at Loomies!! We need a K8 colab vid soon 👍👍
Yo Chopsy, I’m gonna email you soon to see if you and Gregorio want to meet up, so he can have a go on my modified 2018 GSXR 1000R and compare it to his.
Love this, I was only 13 when this was new but this was one of the top ones on my list at the time.
Faffery is part of riding. Reassuring to watch. Nice little van rant as well! Thanks.
Lovely. I have the K3 and been loving it all the way.
Love the old gsxr 1000 k2
Hi Babes. This is a bit random. I have a ZX9 R and am real fed up that no one covers this legend. Beautiful bike! I still have mine. I was supposed to sell it when I got my Z900RS Cafe five years ago, but I'm finding it hard to part with.
Just rebuilt and did a full restomod on a K1 with 25K miles on it. It is very very nice!
My Suzuki SV 650 is 22 years old, it's a bit on the tatty side, the engine knocks and clatters a bit more than it should but it's absolutely amazing to ride. There's something very right about a few of those 20 - or + year old bikes.
I think this one, and your 916 are the 2 I would keep forever!
I loved gsxrs when I was young boy in school always wanted one first big bike was a gsxr 750 k6 loved it
My dream superbike 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 super fresh and clean condition... i love it ❤❤❤❤
Had one, it was a beast. I put it down in the kink at RA. Damn it. Promptly replaced it with. K5 still have it.
Been watching you and Al for a long time. That Gixxer used to be mine!!! How bizarre !!!
Fabulous condition ! Great bike, I remember having a 2001 R1 club racing and the GSXR’s came out with instantly more power 🤷♂️🤣 and YES super bikes used to have room under the seat for your wallet etc. can’t even fit my glasses under the RSV4 seat !
I still really miss my 750K7. One of the best bikes I ever owned.
It looks brand new. Wow!
doesn't it just!
I was a teenager when it came out. I fell in love with it immediately.
Need to get down to Loomies more often.
Great video as always Chris 🎉🎉. What a wonderful looking bike. Well looked after.
Love to see reviews of bike of this period because it is the bridge between carb fuelled to FI bikes. Then in a couple of years, traction control came into vogue & the rest is history..
Just checked out the ebay ad, soooo clean 👌🏾 what a lovely example!
Good to see you back on mate more vids please👍🏻
selling my K1 1000 as well, getting too old now and my back just doesn't like the position anymore, but still gorgeous to see her on the paddock stands in the garage, that is a very nice example of the K2.

hahahahha
Obviously if you can't afford a K5 - get a K2!! Love these real world classic bike tests. 👍👍
K2 is shelves above K5 in esthetics and comfort. A tad faster, but not noticeably so
Stunning machine, not surprised to see it's sold already!
Selling something you love is difficult. I'm keeping my Vmax just because.
I loved my k2, midrange on them was really good and would pull away from the new 06 R1 my mate had.
Classic Barron vid.
I got one of these, same colours about a month ago, lovely bikes 😎👌
Amazing bike, and condition looks flawless. Good luck with...and its sold!
always a good day when bvg uploads
Bought exact model and colour brand new in 2002 ….When I seen it on ebay it was already sold….I was pissed off as Id have had it🥴…..great bike, great faffery 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice one! Love the bit retro looks with modern injection system
I’ve got a k1 different colour , with 9k miles on the clock in probably the same condition …. Be interested to see what it goes for
Love my 600 k1, 16k miles and the engine case paint is peeling something chronic. That's my only complaint in terms of quality 😂
I wish bike meets where I live had such a diverse collection of motorcycles. Here, it is overwhelmingly cruisers or baggers.
Great episode and brilliant bike
I've had a k3 1000 now I've got a K6GSXR 1000 finish is like anything looking after them,, hope it goes to a good owner,,☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Brings back so many memories!
What a joy, on a wet n windy Monday evening…👌💪🇮🇲
What is is about this day and GSXRs. First Neevsy then Baron. Not that I complain.
I read that the K2 has 34mm throttle bodies, titanium link pipe and electronic fast idle over the K1 other than altered graphics.
Very nice, i so miss my K5 thou, sadly had to sell it to help finance my emigration out of blighty.
I miss my K1. Love my K6 but being 6’2” the K1 was a better size bike for me.
I just bought myself a 600 blacked out 🔥🏍️
thanks for upload barron von grumble
BVG on a gixxer! All is right in the world ❤
Brilliant vid, love this geeza, I’m new to riding as of last year. When you mention the tyres were low and the chain felt slack…what made you think that? Just curious if I could gain some knowledge there! Cheers en
⚡️Dang! That OG looks mint🫶⚡️
got a rf900 from 94 but this wil be my next bike
