@@FactsVerse Thank you so much for asking. Love to see videos on the Beatles, Yardbirds, Def Leppard, Queen, Gary Neuman, David Bowie, more on the Ramones!
I saw them live once in the early 90's. I had never listened to them before but I have to say, these boys blew the doors off the venue! High energy and passion.

The Ramones were the pioneers of Punk Rock. And like many real pioneers, The Ramones opened up the way, but never got the true recognition that they deserved. Today, The Ramones are mostly known for their cult following,. just like rock bands Rush and the Grateful Dead.
Been a fan since 70s first time saw them was if my memory right was 78 Paramount theatre on Bay St SINY seen them about 25 more times throughout the years
Those guys were great. I saw them a few times in NYC and always a memorable show. 1-2-3-4 and they wouldn’t stop. I’ve visited Joey’s grave a few times here in NJ. I beat the same cancer he had. I sadly miss them as there will never be another band like the Ramones. They influenced so many other bands in every way possible.

First Joey was doing really well with his treatment but he fell on the ice outside his NY apartment and broke his hip. Had to stop his treatments to have surgery. Being weak he couldn’t heal right and his cancer came back harder. Also he many health problems including metal health with OCD and some said schizophrenia at 14
He also was born with a teratoma which saw him need surgery just after being born, which contributed to his tendency to infections and poor blood circulation. As a child, his eyesight was poor due to acute myopia. His ill-tempered father once picked him up and threw him over a bed and into the wall. He was severely bullied throughout school, sometimes coming home with footprints on his chest. He suffered from severe OCD, which was a constant torment for him. While in his late teens, he checked himself into a psychiatric facility for evaluation. One of his doctors told Joey’s mother that Joey would never function in society, would need care his entire life, and that he’d likely end up a vegetable. It was suggested by a doctor that Joey was a paranoid schizophrenic. As an adult, his OCD was near-debilitating. He suffered from frequent infections, especially in his foot. His mental health was always precarious.
Saw the Ramones in Milwaukee promoting their 3rd album Rocket to Russia. Tommy beat the crap out of his drums, while Johnny & DeDe jumped up & down the whole time the music was going , Joey rocked the mic & stand back & forth. The Runaways opened promo their 1st album. Both acts were great!!! My friends had opened for the Ramones in Madison while they were promoting their 1st album. June 23, 1977 El Tejon. They told me every band member was running around back stage with pizza & beer, except Joey. Every one offered the same to him, but he just slouched in a big overstuffed chair saying "No".
Saw them with CJ Ramone on bass in 92. I was so happy to see them live. I love the Ramones and it’s hard to pick one favourite song. Hard enough to pick one favourite off every album. I’m 53 and I’m still watching Rock ‘n’ roll high school.
Tommy was a legit studio engineer and had connections in the NY studio scene, probably why the Ramones were able to cut demos (Dick Charles Studios in February 1975, and 914 Studios in September 1975).
I love to watch their early live videos because it shows them as they were. In particular, "Live At Arturo's Loft" and "Live at the Rainbow". It makes me want to play guitar.
Ramones had it tough in the early years, the radio still barely plays them today. The only two songs you'll probably hear are Blitzkreig and Sedated, which is a shame because they have many great tracks.
My favorite concert of all time. They played a gig back in '87 in New Orleans while I was still only 16 in an awesome club called Tipitina's. I was so paranoid that I'd be carded and asked to leave, but when the guy came up to me all he asked for was my ticket. I proceeded to the bar and asked the girl for a Budweiser and she also didn't card me! About a half an hour later the lights dimmed, the dry ice plumes flowed and Joey thanked the Big Easy for hosting them and then came Dee Dee's trademark 1,2,3,4! Their set flew by faster than an SR-71 Blackbird! Saw them six times after that throughout the years. Rocket to Russia still sits as my #2 all time favorite album. Damn, I miss 'em!
@@FactsVerse Gosh! There are so many gems to choose from, but if I had to pick one it'd be "We're a Happy Family" with "Teenage Lobotomy" at a close second.
First of all, there will never be another Ramones. Absolutely love that band. As far as what is my favorite song, way to tough to pick. Just put on any one of their albums and enjoy
Teenage Lobotomy is my favorite Ramones song. I use to blast it at full volume through my Marantz in the dormitory at the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1978 especially during finals. They kept me sane and motivated.
Loved the Ramones from the beginning! What an impact they left on the world! I realized this while grocery shopping and “I wanna be sedated “ was playing on the intercom! So that’s my favorite but so many others too. Thanks bros. You live on!!
We're a happy family, Judy is a headbanger, Sheena is a punk rocker, Questioningly, Havana affair, Bonzo goes to Bitzburg, I wanna be sedated, too many 2 pick just one: I love them all!
I love many of their songs. Lately its been "she belongs to me" with has an emo punch that puts me right in the mood. Creammy stuff is one more happy to enjoy. Theres several type of songs they do, which have their gems each. Enjoy the discohraphy in time order. Time bomb, rockaway beach, planet earth 1988.. I could be all day
@@flipflopdancer6728 Crummy was used more in the 80s. If you say someone was in a crummy mood, meant they were in a shitty mood. Or saying that song is crummy meant the song sucks.
Early April 2001 I was flying to Germany from the US. My sister gave me a cd called Romones Mania to listen to. I had never heard of them. Put the cd in my Sony disc man at the airport. WTF! Didn't like it. Tried a 2nd and a 3rd listen. Finally wow this is great!! Then 2 weeks later heard Joey had just passed away. I couldn't believe it. After that I got every album I could find on cd and those first 4 albums when I found them reissued years later on vinyl including of course Ramones Mania!! My favorite would be I Wanna Be Sedated. I Wanna Live. We Want the Airwaves. But there are just sooooo many choices. Plus they did alot of great covers like Needles and Pins, California Sun, and Surfer Bird to name a few. My favorite solo song by Joey is Don't Worry About Me. Sad these guys didn't get the radio play they deserved back then. There catalog speaks for itself!! Gabba Gabba Hey!! 🎸🎸🎸
I've been a RAMONES fan since I first played their self described album on my mothers barclay wooden stereo cabinet back in april of 78. the next day i threw away my other albums and used the as frisbees against our garages brick wall (glad to see you go). My favorite RAMONES song is, all of them! GABBA, GABBA, HEY!
I saw the Ramones at the Apollo in Glasgow, UK in either 1977 or 1978. They were my favourite punk band although I think they should have called it a day after Road to Ruin.
I Believe In Miracles is one of my favorites!! Thank you for sharing this awesome video RIP The Ramones 😇 the one reason I've know anything about the Ramones is because of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. 😊💓🤘✌️
Favourite song is : 'Bonzo Goes To Bitburg'. It was a masterful, and thoroughly wonderful, truly genius piece of Music Supervisor Work ,( and i never use the word 'Genius' liberally, or, easily, by the way,), by the person or persons who thought of this song, selected this song, and subsequently chose to actually use it ,to parallel the filmic scene showing a compilation of Music- Teaching scenarios, taught by Jack Black's Film Character, in the uplifting and fantastic Feature-Film called : 'School Of Rock'. I had not known that all of the members of 'The Ramones' had passed away, which is shocking as it is extremely sad. They will always be remembered, because their Music is the gift that keeps on giving, as it will be discovered and enjoyed by a never-ending series of generations of young people, not yet even born.
Facts Verse would have a lot more credibility if the photo they used for the thumbnail of this video featured the four deceased members who are the subjects. The photo they used shows Marky and C.J., both of whom are alive and kicking.
I seen the Ramones and the Damned do a double header at Brixton Academy in 1991 - I was really there to see the Damned however the Ramones were really good - all in all a very memorable night - I liked Sheena is a Punk Rocker and Judy is a Punk... All songs started with 1- 2 - 3 - 4
Late 1990s, I saw 'The Ramainz,' featuring Dee Dee Ramone, Marky Ramone, and Dee Dee's wife Barbara. It was my closest experience to seeing the Ramones Live. I even got to talk to Marky for a bit. Cool guy!
I was real lucky to see The Ramones in 77 in LA at the whiskey of go go Blondie opened. I wasn't sure what we would witness but it was so funny and great at the same time. When we were walking through the parking lot to the show. A long haired guy was running towards us yelling don't go in there it's the downfall of rock and roll. He reminded me of the guy at the end of attack of the body snatchers warning everybody about the pods
There used to be an amusement park in my hometown with a venue that they performed at back in the day. It's an empty lot now, but it's still interesting to think that I've stood at a spot where they and a stage they performed on once were.
It’s hard to pick a favourite Ramones song. Live I always loved 53rd and 3rd and today your love, tomorrow the world…But I think that all of the first four studio albums touch on absolute perfection, & it’s alive is my favourite live album by any band ever. I really miss the Ramones, their gigs were always eventful.
Johnny is not buried at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. He was cremated and his wife kept the ashes. There is a cenotaph monument to Johnny at the cemetery. RIP Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee ,Tommy...and Arturo.
Those 4 put out the best 3 albums. Road to Ruin was excellent, too, with Marky on drums. After that , their music was very hit and miss. Glad to see you Go is probably my favorite Ramones song.
Glad to see you go is my favorite song too. Leave home has been one of my all time favorite albums. It's music perfection. I don't know how that album wasn't a huge hit.
Love the Ramones . Too many great songs to choose from , but if pressed, I wanna be sedated. And my favorite album is , Road to Ruin. Plus absolutely love Rock and Roll High School ! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

I once had to shuttle Dede (sp?) and Joey for food after a soundcheck in Palo Alto, CA (1980-ish?); I ended up taking them to a nearby Jack in the Box; when the two guys in leather jackets walked up to the counter, a sheepish employee goes, "Are you gonna rob us?" DeDe replies, "Yeah...Give us all yuh tacos!"
I just wanna have something to do, We want the Airwaves, Beat on the brat, Chinese rock, Pinhead, Rockaway beach, Gimmie, gimmie shock treatment, Sheena is a punk rocker, Commando, so many great songs, impossible to nail down a favorite!
If you ask me “what is the most unique band ever” I would say The Ramones since they had a sound that not a lot of people had at the time, a great stage presence, and overall made people like punk a lot. Their music is one of the reasons why I enjoy playing my guitar a lot
There are many, many great songs. Rockaway Beach is my #1. Btw, there is a great video of a 1977 London Rainbow Theatre show on RUclips. To those not lucky enough to have seen them live, that video gives a real flavor.

The Ramones had success in the UK for a while, during the Punk era. Never saw them live, but always liked their records.
@cricketbat09 You dont describe a true punk band as successful. You describe a true punk band as infamous.
I see quite a lot of people in the U.K. wearing Ramones shirts. They seem quite popular over here. The Ramones fans always seem very friendly.
At every of the many Ramones gigs we went, we were always waiting for COMMANDO and PINHEAD. That moments were always the boiling point. Unforgetable!
Johnny Ramone did not receive much acclaim for his guitar performing. He received acclaim despite his rudimentary skills on the guitar.
'GIMME GIMME SHOCK TREATMENT' is my favorite RAMONES tune.
I love all the Ramones. Joey is my favorite. Probably cuz he was skinny & geeky-& that's how I was as a kid/,teenager.
We're happy to know that you love the Ramones! Also, thank you for sharing your favorite member. How about the song which appealed to you the most?
@@FactsVerseSong would be questioningly
Thank you for sharing your life story. We're happy to know that you got the chance to watch them live! What is your favorite song of the Ramones?
@@FactsVerse Gosh! There are so many gems to choose from, but if I had to pick one it'd be "We're a Happy Family" with "Teenage Lobotomy" at a close second.
they always did great live show
First of all, there will never be another Ramones. Absolutely love that band. As far as what is my favorite song, way to tough to pick. Just put on any one of their albums and enjoy
First saw the Ramones live in the mid-80s when I was only 11-12 years old. Saw them a number of times between then and their final tour in 96.
Whoa, we're happy to know that you had the chance to see them live! Thank you for sharing this. What song is your favorite?
O saw them the first time at the Whiskey a go go with a fake ID in 1978
The thumbnail shows only 2 original members. The other 2 are CJ (bass) and Markey (drums) and both are still very much alive.
Teenage Lobotomy is my favorite Ramones song. I use to blast it at full volume through my Marantz in the dormitory at the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1978 especially during finals. They kept me sane and motivated.
Thank you for sharing your favorite song of The Ramones and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?
Kkk took my baby away is my favorite song
Loved the Ramones from the beginning! What an impact they left on the world! I realized this while grocery shopping and “I wanna be sedated “ was playing on the intercom! So that’s my favorite but so many others too. Thanks bros. You live on!!
Glad to know that you're a fan of The Ramones, thank you for sharing. Which of their songs appealed to you the most?
We're a happy family, Judy is a headbanger, Sheena is a punk rocker, Questioningly, Havana affair, Bonzo goes to Bitzburg, I wanna be sedated, too many 2 pick just one: I love them all!
Thank You So MUCH, Great memories of my high-school days and awesome music
I love many of their songs. Lately its been "she belongs to me" with has an emo punch that puts me right in the mood. Creammy stuff is one more happy to enjoy. Theres several type of songs they do, which have their gems each. Enjoy the discohraphy in time order. Time bomb, rockaway beach, planet earth 1988.. I could be all day
*Crummy Stuff*
@@thebrandolorian9037 oh sorry yep.. what does that mean instead? Sure is some joke?
@@flipflopdancer6728
Crummy was used more in the 80s. If you say someone was in a crummy mood, meant they were in a shitty mood. Or saying that song is crummy meant the song sucks.
Ramones fan since 77! Thanks you!!!
Thanks for watching! We're so glad you enjoyed this video. What other types of videos would you like to see?
I think it was awesome how they would appear once in a while on The Uncle Floyd Show.
Rockaway Beach is amazing . Great song by a great band .
Best live show I ever seen
1986 Animal Boy tour Club Casino Hampton Beach New Hampshire.
No other band comes close.
Ramones Rock!!!!!!!🎸🎸🎸🎸
I've been a RAMONES fan since I first played their self described album on my mothers barclay wooden stereo cabinet back in april of 78. the next day i threw away my other albums and used the as frisbees against our garages brick wall (glad to see you go). My favorite RAMONES song is, all of them! GABBA, GABBA, HEY!
"What's your favorite Ramones song?"
What isn't my favorite Ramones song?
i wanna be sedated- to this day (now in my 60's) still cant help but start dancing when I hear it
BEAT ON THE BRAT is my favorite for now!
I saw the Ramones at the Apollo in Glasgow, UK in either 1977 or 1978. They were my favourite punk band although I think they should have called it a day after Road to Ruin.
We're glad to know that you're a fan! Thanks for sharing. What other types of videos would you like to see?
I saw the Ramones first time at the Whiskey a go go in Hollywood 1978
I’m glad they didn’t. If they had I would’ve never got to see them. Also, I love Too Tough to Die.
I never get tired of listening to Commando.
Us too! Thanks for sharing your favorite song of the Ramones! Which song comes in at second place?
I Believe In Miracles is one of my favorites!! Thank you for sharing this awesome video RIP The Ramones 😇 the one reason I've know anything about the Ramones is because of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. 😊💓🤘✌️
Favourite song is :
'Bonzo Goes To Bitburg'.
It was a masterful, and thoroughly wonderful,
truly genius piece of Music Supervisor Work ,( and i never use the word 'Genius' liberally, or, easily, by the way,), by the person or persons who thought of this song, selected this song, and subsequently chose to actually use it ,to parallel the filmic scene showing a compilation of Music-
Teaching scenarios, taught by Jack Black's Film Character, in the uplifting and fantastic Feature-Film called :
'School Of Rock'.
I had not known that all of the members of 'The Ramones' had passed away, which is
shocking as it is extremely sad.
They will always be remembered, because their Music is the gift that keeps on giving, as it will be discovered and enjoyed by a never-ending series of generations of young people, not yet even born.
One of our favorites too, you've got taste! Which song comes in at second place?
He was so cool regular guys not stuck up at all wish I could’ve seen them live
R. I. P. JOEY RAMONE 15/4/2001
Never forgotten
All of them...❤ RIP best band in the world...and the sole reason that I became a musician...all hail the mighty RAMONES 😢
All songs started with 1- 2 - 3 - 4
Cretin Hop, Blitzkrieg Bob, and Teenage Lobotomy are my top 3 Ramones songs
The Ramones! Yes! I'm so into them at the moment, great call, Facts Verse!
Long live The Ramones!

"Beat On The Brat" would be up there for me
Sloppy. Why have a front photo that includes CJ who is very much alive. Details are everything.
Wow. I had no idea how much Hyman and Patti Smith look alike…all that heroin chic skin and bones! What a shame these guys died so young. R.I.P.
@@thebrandolorian9037 Yes, that whole album is amazing.
Here in Brazil. They were rock stars. The United States only realized this after the band broke up.
They were rock gods in Argentina, too.
Love the Ramones . Too many great songs to choose from , but if pressed, I wanna be sedated. And my favorite album is , Road to Ruin.
Plus absolutely love Rock and Roll High School ! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Fun stuff, thanks for sharing! What is your favorite Ramones song?
I once had to shuttle Dede (sp?) and Joey for food after a soundcheck in Palo Alto, CA (1980-ish?); I ended up taking them to a nearby Jack in the Box; when the two guys in leather jackets walked up to the counter, a sheepish employee goes, "Are you gonna rob us?" DeDe replies, "Yeah...Give us all yuh tacos!"
without question one of the most passionate and original (if not very commercially successful) bands in music history.
My favorite is "I'm Against It" which, I think, they probably borrowed the title from Groucho Marx -- and also "Airwaves" live.
saw their first London gig zt the Roundhouse in 76 - pretty much everyone in the audience formed a band within weeks,..,(only slight exaggeration)
Basically, all the Ramones songs are bitching great! Ramones Forever!
I actually met Dee Dee Ramone at his book 📖 signing back in California on April 4th 2002 .He signed a Rock guitar magazine &I was even enough to take a selfie (photo)with him just two months before he found dead I believe from his girlfriend in Hollywood. Its sad&glad he's already in the hall of Fame with his other deceased members of the Ramones "'Punk Rockers for life&long live the Ramones!🤔😢😥😩🤓😎🤑🤠😷🎲📸🎚️🎧🎤🥁🎸🎞️🎥📼📺📻🎙️🎛️🎬🎫💰🕯️🧢👟👠👓💊💉🧬🌡️🚬🪦⚰️💣🏆👏🤟👍🤛✌️🙏🇨🇱🇺🇸

I’ve heard of the Ramone’s and their music, but had no idea they died so young, almost one year after each other in succession.
Bop til You Drop, always gets me in an upbeat mood. I saw them at the Cameo Theater on Miami Beach, in the late 1980's.
