It just came to me and it's may 2020 and i can't believe how this interview really connected to a lot of us, i wish i seen this when my dog passed in January 2020 but never too late
I had a heart attack in 2011 but I didn't realize it because I just woke up feeling weird and I waited almost 5 hours before I finally called my Dad to come pick me up and take me to the doctor. I had drank the night before and it felt like my lungs hurt and at first I thought maybe I smoked too many cigarettes the night before. Then it started hurting a little more and more and I couldn't get comfortable until I was lying face down on the floor with a pillow under my chest. I felt OK in that position so I laid there over 4 hours then I realized my arms were going numb. That is when I finally called my dad and had him take me to a clinic. The clinic took me right in and hooked me up to an EKG then gave me 4 nitro pills and immediately called an ambulance. By then I realized it was serious. When I got to the hospital they did the same procedure as Kevin had but they put 3 stints in. The doc said if I had waited another 15 minutes I probably wouldn't have made it to the operating room in time. The good news is having the heart attack turned out to be a good thing because that was when they found out I had a heart defect since birth that they later fixed by a second operation. It was really interesting listening to Kevin's experience because I can honestly relate to what he was thinking because my thoughts were very similar.

@@janrees4887 Men don't get Botox unless they are very pretentious and vain. Kevin, being a guy who obviously is in no way into "Fashion" or even dressing like an adult male is the exact opposite of the type that would even think of doing that.
I know joe, and kevin will never read this.. but i have been plagued with a depression that was mainly caused by encroaching thoughts of death ... and ive seen multiple therapists over the years about it and kevins words about his heart attack were the first thing in my entire life that helped with that... i am not calmed by any means but this is the first time i could see a possible world where i dont have this constant fear, thanks Kevin, and thanks Joe
Hahaha! Indeed, I would say most people are. I would even say ALL grown, adults are. People forget how dangerous house cats can be to human beings because of the bacteria they commonly harbor under their claws, the fairly wide variety of viruses in addition to very harmful bacteria which are responsible for causing potentially fatal conditions, diseases, extremely serious infection either transferable to humans or much more harmful to humans. For instance, I was shocked when I first entered the nursing field and worked my first few months in an ER and learned exactly what legally must take place-the steps that are LEGALLY MANDATED for us as healthcare providers and professionals to take...in the event of A HOUSECAT BITE. If it broke the skin? Which, is almost guaranteed since most people are not rushing to an ER in this country where you're lucky to have insurance and if you do the co pay for the ER alone isn't some teeny tiny sum, not tiny enough to be wasting money to be seen for an injury that didn't even break the skin whatsoever. Where there's absolutely no bleeding? Probably almost never happens. Anyway, LONG story short... we had to get the CDC involved and everything. The bacteria a giant percentage of domesticated house felines even ones who never go outdoors harbor in their mouths is nothing to laugh off. Much more dangerous from that aspect than a dog bite of the same size and depth into tissue penetrated would be. More dangerous probably to a dog bite double the surface size and considerably deeper in tissue penetrated. If a cat bites you like that you're automatically and immediately going to get a course of fairly strong antibiotics, some docs may even order the first dose be administered IV right then and there with the remainder of the course to be filled by prescription and taken at home. Even after that, I promise you not only are you going to receive an obnoxious amount of follow up phone calls from the CDC and the Hospital but if you for some reason decided to just ditch the prescription and not even fill the antibiotics; the CDC can and will be aware quite quickly and they will contact you pretty constantly until you answer and they can convince you to take your antibiotics. I am not sure but I think another concern when they hear a domesticated cat has bitten a human being to that degree-so seriously that the skin is broken-is that there may be a possibility that the cat has rabies. House cats rarely bite humans. They generally can and will flee, hide, escape and find a spot higher up to improve their point of view and overall visibility. I'm not saying that they don't get mad enough or they won't get scared enough, but they're pretty smart- maybe they would bite the other house cat or dog they're caught in that scenario with as defensive technique, a human being who is exponentially larger though? They know that if personal safety is the overall goal; they are going to have a WAY BETTER chance meeting that shit using their flight response.
Grape gave my buddy type 1 diabetes ... He's active and skinny and drank a gallon or 3 a day, almost killed him, laid out on his floor in a coma all night til I found him... Its not in sync with evolution

I think that he wrote every line of a movie like Dogma is one of the reasons people why question how articulated he is. I love it, but it has some pretty silly stuff and Mewes' lines are not exactly Shakespeare (would be totally out of place). But he is actually known for writing and being pretty articulate, there was a theory that he wrote Good Will Hunting for Ben, which did win awards for writing, because no one believed that pretty boy Ben Affleck could be so articulate.
you guys have been out of the loop. smith had a potentially fatal heart attack earlier this year. it was a wake up call. he's been talking about it nonstop

"I would eat ALL the candy, if you presented it". Finally, someone else used the exact words verbatim that I used to describe my relationship with sugar. It's all or nothing for us candy junkies.
So freaking true. That's how it is for me. When Joe used to talk about Keto all the time, I did it for 6 months. I was already in good shape and working out 5 days a week but it cut me down to 6% body fat from 9% I was originally at. After I had no sugar for 2 weeks, I didn't even desire it anymore. Needless to say, when I started using medicinally to encourage a stable sleeping pattern, I went right into destroying that sleep pattern with copious amounts of sugar waterfalls... Sugar is my dirty mistress.

Not sure... Just quoting Archer at this point lol. I'm not even gonna pretend to know anything about the What's going on with Reptiles in America. You'd probably have no fun making me look like a fool if I did lol. I'm actually surprised they were releasing new animals into the ecosystem like that... I thought that was a major no no?
Alf-Einar Sivertsen omg 🤣🤣🤣 aneurysms.
Joe Rogan seems to me like the kind of guy who wouldnt talk during a movie. I like that.
Joes crying, Kevin’s crying, I’m crying. Jesus...
Brandon Cole dude I literally started tearing up as well. And I'm not a cryer by any stretch of the imagination. I'm told constantly I have no feelings which couldn't be further from the truth but I just dont. They got me going almost instantly
I had to go hug my dogs
Wuss
First time I actually seen Joe this sad.. Damn. Btw I just got to get this out there, Joe is a fking role model of mine. I bet he is that to million of others, the work ethics, objective mindset etc. Just great!
Inside The Dog-World prob because this idiot keeps interupting him!
Jeff Everett show some respect jefferry
Inside The Dog-World Wether Joe is real or just a TV/Podcast personality, Joe truly is a role model for many of us and although I don't agree with everything he might say, I have nothing but respect for the guy. "Joseph you stay away from that man!!"
Joe Rogan, objective mindset.....ahaha.
Keith Chapman nah rather let my dog do it. Altough Joe is beautiful. Btw, how old are you 😂😂😂
Never cried almost three times during a podcast.
The vet getting killed okay. But what were the other two parts?

Joe Rogan: "I used to believe in Bigfoot"
1 hour and 38 minutes later...
Joe Rogan: "How did your dog write four of your movie scripts?"
Lmao, I thought the same thing 😂😂😂
Brendan Schaub wishing he had cried with Joe. Guarantee he's going to cry next time he's on. And I know your hiding in the comments Schaub.
Ghost Andretti To whomever gets it: it’s possible to both love Brendan Schaub for his current career, to have been a fan in his erstwhile day job since TUF... yet also find jokes like this RELENTLESSLY funny to such a degree that intrinsically Brendan being Brendan manifests this hilarity out of others, and it makes perfect sense. Also: I was just blowing dudes. OK, by dudes I mean tigers and by blowing I mean wrestling.
hahahahaha fmd
Brendan "at least I admitted I've touched other guy's dicks" Schaub
Hahaha
i like schaub. and im laughing hard. i do not know why haha
I never thought Silent Bob and the guy from Fear Factor would have me tearing up but damn it they did.
that's because you're a puss, and fear is evidently a factor for you.
Great podcast. I got so emotional seeing Joe and Kevin tear up about their dogs. I love these dudes
This has just become my utmost favorite interview of all time. Two people connecting over the loss of a beloved pet, this is the vary heart of humanity.
My only regret, is it took me so long to see it.
Evilcabaal it came to you at the right time. I just found it !
Dallas Moore glad to hear ya pulled through buddy, im getting to that heart attack "age" now as im 40, im not looking forward to it and hope it doesnt happen but they tend to run in my family
Watch What the Health
I was having anxiety attacks and I thought I was having a heart attack my brain made my arms go numb!
I thought I was dying but still here.
Wow. Kevin Smith's take on death and what was running through his head in that hospital bed was absolutely beautiful and in a way inspiring. Who knew the goofball that made clerks was such an enlightened individual!
"Joe Rogan Did it all with his mouth" - Kevin Smith
I wanna give you a “like” but you’re at ‘69’ 😂
This podcast went from saddening to mindblowing.
KEVIN BEEN WEARING THE SAME SHIT FOR THIRTY YEARS
T Alberts hes wearing the same outfit from the last time on Joes show. Lol.
What are you, his mom? Who cares
Angus Young from AC/DC wearing same shit for 50 years. Both way richer than you sunshine.
T Alberts I love that guy a true free individual
To be fair the artwork is velcro,
One of the few times I watched until the very last second. This was so good. Joe, doubt you'll see this but, thanks for having Kevin on. This was awesome.
Kevin's wife: "You never made me omelets"
Kevin: "well, the dog was dying"
LOL
After those other stories, fuck yes
i died at that part laughed so hard
Kevin Smith's face got younger and his voice got older.
He lives in Hollywood.
I'm willing to bet he gets botox.
I think his voice is the same
@@janrees4887 no, he lost weight
@@janrees4887 The man almost died so he changed his lifestyle to a much healthier one, that can easily explain him looking young for his age.
@@janrees4887 Men don't get Botox unless they are very pretentious and vain. Kevin, being a guy who obviously is in no way into "Fashion" or even dressing like an adult male is the exact opposite of the type that would even think of doing that.
I know joe, and kevin will never read this.. but i have been plagued with a depression that was mainly caused by encroaching thoughts of death ... and ive seen multiple therapists over the years about it and kevins words about his heart attack were the first thing in my entire life that helped with that... i am not calmed by any means but this is the first time i could see a possible world where i dont have this constant fear, thanks Kevin, and thanks Joe
tay w blessed 💪
Powerful.
You are not alone. 👍 Same here.
Im so sorry your dealing with that.
Nothing wrong with constant fear...unless it's constant fear of Fruity Pebbles.....
Jamie didn't cry because he got a A in physics
SuperNano29 😂😂😂
haha winner.
He wasn’t paying attention due to a deaf jack russell going off.
He needs to keep his tears held down with gravity to his spherical eyeball to prove the worlds round to Bravo.
SuperNano29 he got an A in not crying 101
These two guys are gold. Such talent, such heart, one of the best so far. Please do this again soon joe 👍
Joe “venom from the Star Wars books” Rogan
I literally LOL’d when Joe said, “if I’m in a room with a house cat, I’m coming out of that room 100% of the time!”
Im like "I think most humans are, Joe".
That was hilarious. Hope animal activists dont get butt hurt.
"Always have a plan to kill everyone you meet." LOL

Joe please have Kevin on your podcast more often. You two have amazing chemistry ✊🏽
Joe "ive never done coke but i think id like it" rogan
Wife: You've never made me eggs.
Husband: Come on, the dog's dying here.
Dog: Yeah, you're fine.
Love the podcasts with Kevin Smith
Jesus Joe, You are the goddamn man of this century , Thank you for this, keep on going man!
Kevin Smiths story about his heart attack is a beautiful journey. Suspense, laughter, a great climax and a happy ending
This is the best podcast/interview I've ever seen. Absolutely incredible.
2 gallons of milk a day...suicide by milk
Grape gave my buddy type 1 diabetes ... He's active and skinny and drank a gallon or 3 a day, almost killed him, laid out on his floor in a coma all night til I found him... Its not in sync with evolution
Jasmine Wood i thought you wrote ‘Grape gave my friend type 1 diabetes’ haha wtf
I love those guys! This podcast and youtube channel.. amazing!
they love you, too.
Mike Porter thanks
rogan is the best interviewer ever, let's be honest.. kevin is awesome also. best episode in a while I must say.
@joerogan @kevinsmith. The conversation of your dogs and hearing story of Kevin and his labs. Really hit me hard. It really hit home. I remember when my first dog ever owned I had to put down because she was in pain from cancer. It was one of toughest moments in my life. Thinking about it breaks my heart. Hearing you guys stories reminded me of that day. I even got a portrait tattoo of my dog with the caption “All dogs go to heaven”. Thank you for this interview.
I absolutely love this show. I'm currently addicted haha. Also, i cried when Kevin was saying the story of the labs.
first half: wtf let joe talk
second half: wtf let kevin talk
Squirlyfresh what is this a crossover episode between IFunny and RUclips
The proof that headphones curb talking over each other.
Man, I’m so glad Kevin’s on again. Great podcast, you look great and stay healthy. Thanks for the amazing episode.
I’m not crying... you’re crying!
Everyone is surprised that Kevin is so articulate. Remember that he wrote every line of those movies.
Nobody was surprised
I think that he wrote every line of a movie like Dogma is one of the reasons people why question how articulated he is. I love it, but it has some pretty silly stuff and Mewes' lines are not exactly Shakespeare (would be totally out of place). But he is actually known for writing and being pretty articulate, there was a theory that he wrote Good Will Hunting for Ben, which did win awards for writing, because no one believed that pretty boy Ben Affleck could be so articulate.
@@braddenscott6932 why's it only a theory. Kevin Smith talks loads surely he would of said if he did right?
He also wrote movies that he didn’t direct. As well as wrote comics and Screenplays
That was amazing! That was some very entertaining dialogue between two podcast giants. I could listen to them talk all day long!
I love Joe, I love Kevin. I did NOT expect to be sat here bawling my fucking eyes out. Thanks guys x
I'm only half way through this and this podcast was powerful. Thanks for this experience.
powerful joe rogan indeed
Kevin Smith is such a great conversation.. Great podcast.. He seems very down to earth and has a ton of humility
Even though Kevin's last few movies have been sub par, his originals still hold a spot in my heart. Such classics.
Watched this live last night. Joe and Kevin cry. 😢 Thanks for keeping it real Joe! Love your podcasts!💋🍒💋
God, nothing makes me bawl like dog stories.
Joe's story w/ the dog is making me cry & I'm ok w/ it.
This podcast will save many lives...thank you Kevin 😇
Kevin has lost a lot of weight! Looking great man!
Pretty unfamiliar thin. I hope he has no cancer.
you guys have been out of the loop. smith had a potentially fatal heart attack earlier this year. it was a wake up call. he's been talking about it nonstop
Yeah he was even working hard to lose weight before that over the last couple of years. The heart attack was just another eye opener for him. He did Talking Dead a few times over the past couple seasons and the difference has been noticeable.
Almost dying of a massive heart attack will really get the ball rolling on weight loss.
Kevin Smith is Awesome......👍👍👍😎😎😎
they are both awesome by far my favorite podcast show right here
I love your podcasts with Kevin, I find them so funny and brilliant. I’ve watched them a couple of times!
"Venom from the Star Wars books"
Thomas Kolb literally I'm weak right now
Reeeeee
Joe tried...ha.
This podcast made me laugh cry and was amazing and interesting thank you.
Joe "Ima kill that housecat" Rogan
100% he's coming out of that room.
Kevin "I make omelettes for dogs" Smith
V "I create nicknames for people with their own quotes" S
This Needs to be a shirt. Lol
This has been one of my favorite episodes. I'm so glad Kevin is okay and I can't wait to see more of his work in the future.
"I would eat ALL the candy, if you presented it".
Finally, someone else used the exact words verbatim that I used to describe my relationship with sugar.
It's all or nothing for us candy junkies.
I cut my sweet tooth attacks with apples and bananas.
I cant remember if it was this podcast or Rich Rolls, but I heard someone say 'sometimes abstinence is easier than moderation', that is me and sugar!
