    Awesome place. Im 32 worked 2 and 3 jobs. I have 9 acres paid for new truck and out of debt expect for a excavator. I need to get one of these till i pay it off. What would a estimate cost to do the inside like that one? I love the metal and wood cabin feeling it has. This is all man needs I don't enjoy working my life away making banks and companies rich from my health they don't appreciate. Man could live simple and peaceful.

      honestly, if you want it "professinally done" depending on what state you are in you can get them premade and delivered, turn key, complete with heater, water hook up, sewer hook up. etc.
      For example if you live in Ky, you can get a "massive" 16x52 + 6x52 porch... rigged with 200 amp fuse box, upper and lower kitchen cabinates, 2 bed, 1 bath, only the heat, ac, and appliances are not included. amish built for 124k. for 800 square feet its often 110-140k for 400-500 square feet its often 60-80k
      for example Amish made cabins offers a little 392-420 square foot for between 62 and 65k one bedroom 1 bath... again no appliances.. (i liked Enterprice supercenter out of texas but they shut down they would include HVAC and appliances.

    Why does the roof look like it will leak? Ans is it possible to cool off the cabin with AC and a tin roof like that? I like the idea mold is resistant to growing on tin.. Ans can keep the place mold free easier for longer. Your take? I don't know a whole lot..

    • @annn.
      @annn.  2 месяца назад +1

      The perception of a roof looking like it might leak can be due to its design or condition. Tin roofs can be durable and resistant to mold, which is a definite plus. Cooling off a cabin with AC and a tin roof is possible, but the roof's insulation and ventilation play crucial roles in its effectiveness. Proper insulation helps keep the cool air in, while ventilation allows hot air to escape, aiding in cooling. Maintenance and insulation are key factors in ensuring your cabin stays comfortable and mold free.

    • @yellowdayz1800
      @yellowdayz1800 2 месяца назад

      @@annn. Yes. Indeed. Thank. Guess I knew the answer all along. No easy magic with mold. I would like to add that in some. Countries where it doesn't get as cold and for so long like in Alaska, the States etc Canada.. For example, here in South Africa it may be that it is more doable without insulation... As we usually go without much heat anyways. Short winter and every thing is dang expensive...

      @annn.  9 месяцев назад +1

      Oh, that sounds like quite a challenge! Thanks for sharing your experience it might be helpful for others considering similar setups. Did you find a solution to the condensation issue?

    • @remingtonwatson2812
      @remingtonwatson2812 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@annn.to be frank with you, if you live in extreme cold or extreme heat environments you will always have moisture problems. Obviously it’s caused by the temperature difference between the inside of the house and the outside temperature. The practical solution is radiant barrier. For those not familiar it’s a type of sheet style insulation that goes in your roof. Usually no thicker than 3/8’s of an inch and has an aluminum-foil-like covering on one side. The metal material reflects the heat from the roof so that less heat actually makes it to the cold air in your home. The problems lies when too much heat is created for the barrier to keep the heat from reaching the ceiling. I, like you, had a metal ceiling and roof. The roof had no shade and was black so it got super heated during the summer while my ceiling was being chilled by a constant 65 degrees blowing from my vents. The first time around I just had R-30 and R-13 in the ceiling so I put radiant barrier up to see if that would help. Because I was in such a extreme situation that didn’t help either. I ended up having to put tongue and groove wooden boards up instead of the grooved tin, although drywall would’ve been a better choice. If the metal was flat it would’ve taken much longer to figure this out. My house being built on the side of a large hill making it slightly unlevel also helped. Since I used the same corrugated metal that you put up the moisture would run into the channels, and since my house is unleveled the moisture poured down the channels, on to, and then down my walls. If the metal was flat the moisture wouldn’t have gathered and would remain stagnant, rotting my rafters and supports while creating a series mold problem in my insulation. I am no expert so I won’t say for certainty but if you’re not in extreme cold weather environments you should be able to flip the radiant barrier and keep the heat from your home from mixing with the cold of your roof, serving the same purpose. Ventilation in your sub level (if you live in a crawl space home or if you have a basement) is also equally important. If you do run into this issue the very first thing you need to do is remove the metal and set up several fans to dry out your insulation. Mold resistant insulation is always the way to go in hot and cold environments. Hope this helps
