    Is it a sign of a worn belt when the blade slows in the cut and struggling to cut?

    In my defense it took so long because those beers kind of suck and they are a bit hard to drink and I dont like to talk that way about beer I'm just saying it as an legit excuse for taking so much time

    Hi Steve....enjoyed the video. I'm a new Stihl mechanic (very new) and have a TS 420 in the shop. It runs, but when the blade makes contact with concrete, it loses power.
    The carb is completely covered in debris, and I'm cleaning it up, but was wondering if a worn belt would cause a loss of power upon contact? Thanks!

      The tank vent breaths through the air filter. When the air filter is clogged it will go to half power, and then no power at all. Replace the air filter, fuel, and fuel filter. Then adjust the carb if needed. Hope this helps.

    Now mine I only use it at most a dozen time's a year so I clean it as if I'm winterizing it; I take my belt off and check it and clean the pully's with a soft brass brush and the rest of it and check all my maintenance items and make sure they are all good to go the next time I use it. And all of my other equipment I always clean and check my maintenance item's at the end of the day "That's the equipment that I use of course", so that I don't have to do it just befor a job.

    Hi Steve, Have you got any idea's for a venturi system to suck all the junk out of the bottom of a small fuel tank??? Thank's for any help..

    • @zalida100
      @zalida100 7 лет назад +1

      Find a "Y" section coupling for a hose and on one leg of the "Y" fit a small hose that goes into your fuel tank. Attach a compressed air line to the other leg and blow. The venturi effect created may be good enough to lift shit out of your tank and blow it out the open leg of the "Y" piece. Someone's likely got a video of it somewhere, or maybe a better idea. Good luck.
