I made this the other day and I have to say it tasted amazing !!! I was sceptical at first when the cake layers came out the oven thinking they were too hard. But when you leave the cake overnight in the fridge , the flavours and frosting set really well together! Thank you for sharing the recipe 😊
I had some medovik for the first time last month and I'm obsessed with it now but it's expensive in my country. After watching a few recipes I can see why! Yours is definitely the one who looks easier to make. I really want to try making it
Oh yes we would bake them in a square sheets and cut into squares. Beside Honey Pie, we would also do White Pie and Hungarian Pie(with chocolate). Baking sheets takes time and it's compulsory to have it set in a fridge for a day or two. We would sprinkle it with cinnamon. That's why these are the part of a regular assortment for weddings, New Year and other celebrations. I think most of Eastern Europe has these in every household personal recipe collection.💞🤩🫶
Katie I’m definitely gonna make this. It looks so yummy and simple. Keep up the amazing work. I love your Instagram and happy to see you here on YT! Keep up the amazing work ❤
Hi Katie! Thanks so much for your recipe~ today I gave it a go to make this wonderful cake! I was so impatient to try it that after 5 hours in the fridge I sneaked a little taste haha 😄 It was so delicious!! But quite dry... and the white frosting layer between the cakes was disappeared... should I have waited longer, put extra thick layers with the cream, or roll out thinner cakes to ensure the dessert is moist?
You’re welcome 🥰🥰🥰 try to baking the layers at a lower temperature so they won’t dry out too much and add a little bit more frosting in between the layers ☺️ hope that helps!
