Williams Sonoma has compostable bags but they don’t fill much and I’ve had them burst! I have a compost service that picks up my compost so I definitely am also looking for more viable options when it comes to waste

lunch box/bento box cake has been a trend for the past few years thats the packaging they're supposed to be in hence the name

At the bakery where I worked at, we had plastic coated piping bags. It was much easier to work with than silicone bags and so easy to clean!!

You can get biodegradable/compostable piping bags, they are still strong enough to pipe hard frostings but will take less time to break down ❤
You can use baking paper/parchment to make piping bags especially handy for the smaller amount of coloured buttercream you were using 😊

I've seen people use parchment paper as piping bags. Make it into a cone shape first and then put the frosting.

Have you tried a food processor method? Helps to blend food colouring into buttercream = intensifies colour!
