Good taste! Nuggets fan here, but Miami is amazing. Jimmy's genius and iron will, Spoe... Bam... The way the 3 musketeers or whatever you want to call them - Strus, Vincent and Martin - are firing off, Lowry and Love turning back the clock for this... ! To be honest even after what they did to the Bucks I coutned them out. Surely they can't beat the Celtics... Well.... guess they can...
And as much as I've enjoyed watching Jokic, I am not sure that anyone unambiguously has been better than Jimmy Butler over the last 4 postseasons. I do think Jokic has been better... but it is not at all clear cut. Jimmy is just amazing.
There are guys more talented than Jimmy, more physically gifted than Jimmy, and more feted by the media than Jimmy. That's great and all, but Jimmy doesn't care, he's going to impose his will on them anyway, and they can't stop him!! And just so so smart, he understands everything going on, doesn't fall for fakes, plucks passes out of lanes, fakes everyone else out into total confusion, and just... the little things... the way he can seal in the post to take passes, including that one that put that game into OT... slowing down to seal the defender before jumping for it... the 'little' things. The nuggets have pretty much played 7 players in their rotation and still 11-3 in the playoffs
Because all those 7 players can produce. That's how deep they are. And deep in their bench, they still have Reggie Jackson, Zeke Nnaji, Christian Braun and Victor Cancar.
Rotations always shrink in playoffs to about 7-8 guys. That's why the regular season 10th dude never matters in the playoffs

Same thing I said in the GS series and it was they shot too many jump shots, even though they had a game where they had more pts in the paint. The Lakers need 30-40 FTs to win or stay in the game.
As a Warriors fan, at the start of the second round I presumed the outcome of their series against the Lakers didn’t matter as neither was going to beat Denver. All the way.

@@jjnelson3232 mmmm no, as much as Jamal has been amazing, consistancy is key. Jokic has been consistant through all the season and hopefully Jamal find that consistancy next regular season. Also Jokic put so much pressure on the field that you either concentrate on him and let the rest of the squad open to shoot, or open up the field and let Joker do his thing, the whole game revolves around if you let Joker play or not, and Denver will kill you through Joker or the rest of the team.

Jalen's comments were the proper analysis. For once I agree with SAS in that it appears if Denver has the mindset to not take the night off then it will be no surprise if the sweep as simply stated most teams ( including this Lakers team) do not have the grit and toughness to even come back from 3-1 so no chance down 3-0. So much for all the Media Talking Heads and podcasters who said if AD was healthy then the Lakers would go all the way.
LA made a very nice push. Making the conference finals shows they still have the ability to be competitive -- they just need to get a few more shooters around Bron and AD and they can be very dangerous next year. And this is a great learning experience for Darvin Ham, he'll now have three rounds of playoffs under his coaching belt and know the difference between a random midseason game and a playoff game. Don't write off the Lakers as washed up yet.
The media overated the lakers they weren't good all season before and after the trades ....they were lucky that everything break the right way for them to make the west finals eventually they were gonna get exposed...... they beat Minnesota without Gobert, they beat Memphis without both three centers and then they best the warriors because they were bigger......now they are getting exposed talent wise against a team that is just as big and as physical as they are, and they on the verge of getting swept.....

Who knows what will happen with AD injury wise/mentally. The Lakers have also used a lot of assets over these past few years…. So they will only really be able to get free agents and the Lakers are fairly cash strapped. I’m sorry to break the news, but the championship window on the LeBron Lakers is quickly closing…… I might give them next year to have a chance to make some noise in the playoffs but then it’s an absolute wrap

It seems like the Nuggets just keeps a tempo that makes the other team work really hard and when their opponents are depleted the Nuggets have one more level that they turn on.

Jokic is proving how effective it is to share the ball and trust your teammates. He consistently gets everybody on the floor involved and its showing. Most teams are used to defending or doubling up on 1 or 2 key players but with the nuggets, everybody on the floor is a key player. You don't need one guy to go 50, 20, 10 (although Jokic can) when the whole team is getting double digit points and around 5 assists/rebounds on good shooting. Im so excited for a Nuggets vs Heat finals. The best team vs the most clutch team, two teams thirsty for a finals win
Lakers are losing because they have no urgency to get back to the other end of the court after a missed shot. When Lakers miss Nuggets are GONE. And here goes AD, LeBron, and the rest taking their sweet time while Nuggets are down there scoring.

I'm so happy 😂fir the Nuggets and I hope they sweep the Lakers. I'm tired of hearing about the Lakers and their collective people in the media thinking they have a chance at winning this series. The sports analysts have been trying to find a way to help ot be about the Lakers all season long and this series proves that the media has been biased about what they see on the court. KCP is probably laughing at the Lakers. Bruce Brown has been playing well. Jokic and Murray are something to prove to the sports media who have been doubting them.
If Lakers' role players can make half the shots Nuggets' role players made, the series would've been much more interesting.

It's funny how they compare a team that started 2-10 then traded almost half their roster between all star vs the team that always been on the first seed. The disrespect to the Nuggets is insane. The Nuggets players Jokic, Murray, Porter and Gordon have been playing together for three years. While the only once that still remained a Lakers after 2020 are Lebron and AD. When the Lakers beat the warriors, THAT was their NBA Finals lol. The team was playing inspiring team basketball for Lebron because it was the warriors. They played with a sense of urgency cause of how much the media emphasized the matchup, Lebron VS Curry. That team layed it all out and Game 6 was crazy lol with the celebration and the confetti. In their eyes, that was their Championship series win lmao

Not a Nugs fan but I am absolutely loving them right now. As a fan of Kobe, Jordan, and Steph, I just naturally don’t like Lebron. If he would have won it this year, I feel like many more people would call him the undisputed GOAT and I would never hear the end of it. Thank you Denver!

The Lakers ran up on a team that is just as big and long as them, they can’t play bully ball against this team like they did against GS and Memphis who had no Bigs really. It’s not the problem with the matchups. It’s the problem with the strategies.
This years NBA Champions was decided in the Suns vs Nuggets series. Suns were the only team with the star power to stack up to healthy Jokic and Murray, and their already weak bench's back got broken by injuries to CP3 and Ayton. In theory maybe a healthy Clippers team could compete with them too, but that never happening for a full play offs is as sure a thing as CP3 not getting through a full play offs. Best of luck to the Heat, but I just don't see them getting past this nuggets team with out some sort of injury.
Well explained my same thoughts too. The only team that could beat them for sure were the suns. With Booker dropping 40+ a night was unstoppable . Cp3 and ayton ruined the suns chances
Clippers is a champion team if healthy but that aint happening in the Playoffs.

They were able to draw close games against the suns without their two superstars, I could only imagine they could give the nuggets trouble
