Glad it helped. That's what I love about youtube. You can pretty much find out most anything you want to know. The opener is still working great! I don't even hear it in the house when it runs like I did with the old opener.
Good deal! Glad it was helpful. I installed a second one in the other bay and it went pretty fast, but I did make one mistake because I was over confident. I put the rail upside down, and had to take it off to turn it around. luckily it was still on the ground...lol
Thanks for the post. I just finished installing mine after watching your video. I have reading instructions and would much rather watch first. Thanks again!!
Thanks for all the info. I'll try that on the one I have not replaced yet. It seems to be working OK, and the lights still work on it. I wanted to replace the one in this video because it was really freaking out when you go to open it. It also wouldn't go back up even with the force sensor turned way down (most sensitive).
The reviews on the screw drive said they had problems with plastic parts or premature failure. Probably from the same people who couldn't read the instructions. So far, this thing works great!
I've never had a problem with any Stanley, Chamberlain made or older Genie made units. My uncle had a Stanley unit, installed in 1978. Lasted till 2008, replaced it with a shitty Genie Belt Drive, Died in two years, some plastic thing shredded on it. And it was lifting a light door! Well balanced too. If someone is in the market for a new operator. I firstly check if the old one is repairable. and then I recommend a Chamberlain made unit (sears, Lift-master etc).
Right on man! Genie openers honestly scare me to death. Such cost cutting on every level. Honestly, the instructions come on that tissue paper!?! I give this opener 3.5 years of reliable service followed by 1.5 of pure and utter semi-dangerous misery. Chamberlain or Craftsman all the way. I just installed two new LiftMaster 3/4hp belt drives with MyQ technology and battery backup. I just love 'em, I'm such a nerd. Mind you this is after 20 years of reliability out of my Craftsman.
as long as you dont lose control of the remotes until you change out the other opener. I hooked up a 1980s era switching unit to my 2000s era door opener when the security smart functions got frazzled somehow. it essentially replaced a push to open button. but they are difficult to find so saving the old stuff makes other people happy sometimes. and old tech is safe tech because burglars dont think sideways. a busted window and pulled cord still gets you inside the garage
1/2 HP or 3/4 HP it shouldn't matter, the Genie company has a bad rep for crappy openers. I hope that you took our advice and went with another brand of opener for the 2nd door, or left the Stanley in. I bet in 3 years that Genie is done. Many newer crappier Genie's that I've worked on lasted 3-5 years. I'm glad you didn't have to waste money on that opener hahaha.
Is it a new opener or did it just start happening? It could be that your force sensor is set too low, so when the door gets almost to the bottom, the springs pull the hardest and set off the force sensor like it hit something. Depending on the model opener you have, it may be a control that you turn with a screwdriver, or buttons you have to push. The model I have has a bunch of lights and buttons you have to push and it gets a little complicated.
save those old power units. just unbolt them from the chain and tracs and advertise them on ebay as old cantankerous quirky parts units. sears and chamberlain power units and parts interchange in many instances. also the old tech multicode door opener controls are useful to hold onto. I had the smart part of the door opener get stoopid and quit working. I mount the 'eye's on the ceiling right behind the door motor. :) no snow interference I got the Genie with the chain. it is uber quiet too.
Hi, I'd like to know how your Genie runs. I am looking for a new one to replace the old one that failed last week. I found this model was positively commented and recommended by many reviewers.
Sorry about that. The video was running a bit long, so I cut that part out. The instructions on how to wire it up were actually pretty easy to follow. Let me know if you still need it, and I can do a quick tutorial on the wiring.
looking to get this same system from home depot. did the belt track come with the motor purchase, if so how long is it? i currently have a chain opener & didn't know if the new purchase would come with the different track or use the same chain track. i plan to purchase the two year warranty labor installation package done by a 3rd party company for $127. i did a preliminary order online & it asked me if i wanted 10 or 12 feet extension kit costing $70-80. that's why i was curious if the new belt track came with the original purchase.
really want that to be my last resort...dealt with them before because the motor quit on mine and it was a nightmare to get a new board sent to me. thanks though
Liftmaster, Chamberlain and Sears all have belt drives. As well as screw drives and chain drives. I hope you got a deal on that Genie, because it won't last as long as a Chamberlain, Sears, Liftmaster.
I have this same Genie garage door opener and it is no where as noisy as the one in the video. For a quiet running door opener, buy a can of Garage Door Lubricant. The one I use is Clopay Garage Door Pro Lube [SYNTHETIC SPRAY LUBRICANT] (@ Home Depot) and use it on everything on a garage door that moves; ie, hinge pins, wheels, and shafts. From a dry condition, this lubricant cut my noise factor by 85%-90%. What I didn't like about the video is "Too Long' ! Get organized, turn the camera on and get on with it.
I was going to list the old unit on craig's list for $20. If this thing doesn't take a crap in about 2 months, I will buy another one for the other side.
Purchased and installed one of these 6 months ago. Worked fine until it started getting stuck/jam whenever it needs to go down. It would work fine for a couple of times then starts to act up again. Each time it happens, I need to manually release the opener arm and it works fine on its own. Really frustrating and not sure what is causing it or how to fix it. We have a sectional door and everything else appears to be working fine. Appreciate any insights or help anyone here can provide to get this thing fixed. Thanks!
I had a problem where it would stop halfway up, and I would have to run it down and then up again, then I remembered I messed with the pressure settings. I set them too low, so I bumped the pressure settings up one notch and now it works fine. I am guessing the load sensors have changed a bit, you may have to bump up the pressure setting to get it to overcome a tight spot. Let me know if that helps. I can make a video on how to change the pressure settings if you want.
Thanks for the tip. One question I have is where do you set the pressure setting? I've looked and can't seem to find any other buttons than the main setting buttons. Thank you again for your feedback.
Yup, I have heard both good and bad things about all of the,. I got this one because I wanted a belt drive and also got it over powered so it doesn't have to strain to open the door. I think a lot of the problems people have is that hey go with a "just right" powered opener to find out that they are really underpowered. This one is 3/4 HP and the old one was a 1/2 HP, so this one should have plenty of power and should last until I sell this joint...lol
Garagedoorpro20 they are holding up great! I have since moved and have not heard the new owners mentioning anything about the openers having a problem.
When I bought my townhome I had this installed by my uncle (handyman) and one day all I had was the keypad and not the remotes to close the garage door and drove off to work. When I got back home I saw my garage door wide open and nothing was taken thank god, all I had were the trash and recycle bins, extra carpeting and tiles (new townhome) Now I have my bike and my project car in there. Wondering if anyone had this same problem?
good job salty shell back do you still park both of your cars in the garage still good job salty shell back did you know they are making liftmaster garage door opener jackshafts now that go on the side of the garage that wood work for your garage doors how come you didnt wanna buy a jackshaft garage door opener resediental liftmaster jackshaft sidemount why didnt you buy a side mount instead for your garage doors good job installing it they are very nice and pretty with the new openers where is the light cover for it did you ever test the sensor beam and where is the light cover did you put lightbulbs in them salty shell back good job salty shell back
I installed this opener. I have it all done and when I press the button it gets half way and starts to buck and the door jams and stops. I might the belt tighter, looser. By hand the door opens fine, but when I press the button it goes up half way and the rail starts going all wacky, like shaking then it jams and stop. WTF!!!!!!!!!
It is pretty straight forward in the instructions, but I can make a video if you need to see how it is done. Basically, you just strip the wires and back out the appropriate screw on the opener, slip the wire into the hole and tighten the screw.
Oops, sorry I missed this comment. I have no idea why it is acting up. I am new to this brand and type of opener myself. There may be something jamming the belt inside the track. If the belt is too loose, it could be bunching up inside. You may have to tighten it up. Good luck.
I am not sure what weight it is rated for but the old ones were 1/2 horse power and these are 3/4 horse power so they are more than enough power for this door.
It is a freak possibility but someone else's remote in the neighborhood opened your door. I suggest reprogramming your remotes to get a new secure code to prevent this happening.
why did you sell it it is broken who wood want it i dont know you know stanley is out of business right have a nice night salty shell back enjoy your night good job installing it also do you have a lake or beach in your back yard
have you ever heard of tom petty also what is your dog name and is it a boy or girl does it work with the pool also did you throw away your old garage door opener do you have a shed garage door is there a sink in the garage salty shell back
Do a web search for genie_programming-excerpt_eng.pdf file and it will take you to geniecompany homepage web link which shows how to reprogram your unit (youtube squashes all web links otherwise I'd link it here)
Even from what I can tell, maybe the doorbell went on that Stanley vemco, like if the person in this video could run the door with the remote controls, then you could possibly replace the doorbell switch. Imagine if that was the problem.. a $10.00 replacement...
Leroy No problem 😄 Ingot these because they were quiet. The old Crafrsmans were so loud and rattly, you could feel the floor shake over the garage...lol
thank you happy friday also do you like rap music have you ever heard of the rolling stones aerosmith bruce springsteen vanilla ice you know vanilla ice has a tv show on diy network he does garage doors on his episode when we were in las vegas we saw the same genie garage door opener have you ever heard of the beatles and elton john and phil collins do you have a refridgrator in your garage with a laundry sink in the garage do you park in your car in the garage do you have a shed also salty shell back have a good weekend have you ever been to disney world busch gardens and sea world next weekend we are going to busch gardens also have you ever heard of styx bon jovi and michael jackson prince queen def leppard and bee gees quiet riot rick springfield and nickelback and john cougar mellencamp john travolta and olivia newton john and g geils band fleetwood mac and other music band have you ever heard of those singers before and steve miller band have a nice night did you know i had back surgery in 2014 for kyphosis 2 rods and 24 screws all healed up now doing great grew 3 inches over night salty shell back sorry i am a little sick with a cold have a nice night salty shell back good night

One of my two Genie Silentmax 1000 quit before the warranty was up. I called and after several minutes of answering questions, I almost got into an argument with a woman that was trying to protect the company from having to honor their warranty. On the phone, miles away, and without the opener being checked by an expert, she told me that their warranty does not cover an act of God. All because one of the questions was "has your power ever gone off in the past." I said yes, it goes off occasionally like any other residence. She said that's the reason it's not working, the circuit board is shot. She asked me if the circuit board had any marks on it like burn marks. I told her it looked brand new with no marks whatsoever. She still said it was the power that burned out the board. I said how do you know that without it being checked? How do you know it's not the motor gone out? I could tell she kept talking to someone behind her, probably her boss. After this conversation started started leading into an argument, she finally said they would send me a new circuit board, but I would have to put it in and the warranty would then be void. The new circuit board did not fix it, so it must be the motor as far as I can tell. DO NOT PURCHASE A GENIE PRODUCT IF YOU EXPECT THEM TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTY.
I've been a lead tech for garage doors for over ten years, do not I repeat do not buy any genie units. They are garbage. Buy anything made by chamberlain or sears...you will be much happier.
Going on a year and they are working fine. As with any mechanical device, there are diamonds and lemons with them all. You take a chance with any product you buy. Thanks for the warning :-)
My 1/2 HP Genie screw drive has been opening my single 16' door for 17 years. I think it's lasted pretty well but now it may have stopped working and I'm in the market for a new Genie belt drive. Thanks saltyshellback for the video.
I have had these for over a year now and they still work fine. I think the problem with a lot of garage door openers is that people either get under powered ones, or install them incorrectly. The old unit I had was 1/2 HP, and these are 3/4 HP, so they are more power than I need, so they don't have to work as hard and should last longer. They were not that much more expensive than the 1/2 HP, so it was a cheap investment. I have heard horror stories about all brands of openers, so it is a crap shoot no matter which one you buy.
Mine lasted a year and nine months. It ran great the entire time, the thing still looks brand new. Installed on brand new single car insulated garage door, I can lift the door by itself with two fingers it is hung perfectly and maintained properly. Motor is shot, piece of shit, Genie has gone to hell.... Bought a Liftmaster
+nvrcrywlf Sorry to hear that. Mine are still going strong after 3 years and going. I have no preference really, I just wanted a quiet opener and this one rated high for quietness. My old ones shook the floor above.
That is why I bought the Genie, for sound reasons. Actually replaced a fifteen year old Genie with this thinking I was buying another good opener. I bought my current Lifmaster from an actual garage door guy, had absolutely nothing positive to say about Genie. Congrats on the three years, hope they work great for years to come for you.
I'd like to know what caused the motor down. Due to my garage door opener failure recently I'm looking for a new one to replace it. I found a lot of positive comments on this model. Only one negative review on it was due to motor break-down from a power surge.
Marc Twain I asked that same question and was told who knows, mainly because they're considered disposable after they go down and most garage door companies don't even investigate or repair these anymore, waist of time they say.
They are all made in China now a days, and from the reviews I have read, they all had their share of problems. I wanted a belt drive, and Genie was the only one I saw that had a belt drive. I'm not trying to lift a particularly heavy door and the existing opener was more than enough power. I just wanted something quieter and had newer electronics. The problem with the old Stanleys is that they have a range of about 10 feet, and the lights don't work on them anymore.
i souldve taped hw homeowner saw this vid n thought motor anchoring was nt important.. da door pulld frm one side to on anther n totally damaged door..SMH
LOL...what, you don't like some good porn music? Their cars will be parked outside, so the garage door noise is not an issue. I think I will be getting a boot for their cars :-)
also salty shell back i moved to orlando florida also do you smoke and do drugs or no i never do that stuff do you also are you going to get new garage doors and new springs. for that house salty shell back also does your backyard have a pool and screened in patio or no does your house have a long driveway or short a driveway do you work for a garage door company or no
I know he does but what does that have to do with this?just follow the manual and not try to cut corners and you will have no problems. My Genie lasted for 25 years. Done by the manual!!!!
Lloyd Warren I figured you needed to know Jesus loves you because you seem to have emotional distress over a youtube video of someone you don’t know installing a garage door opener. From your comment I guess you have never done anything incorrectly, so I don’t know how you get through the day surrounded by imperfect people. So tell me all knowing one, what exactly was incorrect about the installation? Apparently it has worked fine for over 5 years even though it was incorrectly installed.
get over yourself. let it go let it go your a geniusno emotions . the whole shop had a good laugh at you and ALL your follow up posts. this will be my last post on this , geezzzzzzz I gotta go now , I have brain surgery to perform this afternoon
i had to go n repair sumone dat anchor the motor same way n totally destroyd da paneling on da door.. YES IT IS IMPORTANT TO ANCHOR THE MOTOR PROPERLY! THE OWNER NEEDED NEW DOOR 800$ ESPENSE PLSE BEAWARE IF MOTOR DOES NT ANCHOR PROPERLY N YOU PUT IT W TIESTRAPS N DA LOAD DOES NT PULL EQUALLY YOUR DOOR CN YANK FRM ONE SIDE TO ANTHER ..DAMAGUNG YOUR GARAGE DOOR PANELING..
+Everything home repair Actually it is just fine. The thing is still working great after 2 1/2 years so far. I think it has to do with the load rating. Many people try to run a lower load rating opener for heavy doors. I got a 3/4 HP to replace my old 1/2 HP openers so the y don't have to work as hard. I also notice that it is usually the polymer gears on other models that fail. This one has metal gears so the possibility of failure is lower.
Genie's are crap. Sorry to say that, but they are cheaply made units with a lifespan of maybe 3-5 years. If you eventually replace that other Stanley/Vemco, go with a Liftmaster or Sears/Craftsman. That Genie won't last like those Stanley's. Those Stanley units look about to be from the late 1970's early 1980's.
He probably doesn't trust you, I assume he just gave up because you don't listen... countless videos have been made regarding your badgering.. but you still continue to pester people.
Glad it helped. That's what I love about youtube. You can pretty much find out most anything you want to know. The opener is still working great! I don't even hear it in the house when it runs like I did with the old opener.
just wanted to say thanks, i used the video exclusively and knocked out the install in about an hour and a half. very helpful
Good deal! Glad it was helpful. I installed a second one in the other bay and it went pretty fast, but I did make one mistake because I was over confident. I put the rail upside down, and had to take it off to turn it around. luckily it was still on the ground...lol
Great video! Instructions in my box went missing! Helped a lot
Thanks for the post. I just finished installing mine after watching your video. I have reading instructions and would much rather watch first. Thanks again!!
My pleasure. Glad it helped!

Is it a new opener or did it just start happening? I posted this video to see how many people would ask me why I posted this video...congratulations, you are the first one!
Hey, I got to go hunting this morning, so I don't complain too loud...lol
Good Job Salty Shell Back have a good weekend and also have a nice night
+Donna Hayford Same to you :-)
saltyshellback THANK YOU salty shell back also reminder this is matthew hayford jr 2a who sent this message have a great weekend
salty shell back good job installing it
Thanks :-)
thank you again so much
Please start a second video on how to program the remote opener on a Genie SilentMax 1000 garage door opener. Thanks.
I have moved since making this video so I don't have access to this opener anymore. Sorry.
save those old power units. just unbolt them from the chain and tracs and advertise them on ebay as old cantankerous quirky parts units. sears and chamberlain power units and parts interchange in many instances. also the old tech multicode door opener controls are useful to hold onto. WOO HOO!!! you have won the opportunty to send me mass quantities of beer! :-)
Thats a great plan.
Just out of curiosity, what was that old brown wire for that ran to the front of the garage?
They ran a jumper button to open/close the door
Thank you for your response metaverse3, is there a link where I can read up and do this? Thanks! - Rey
do you have any side springs installed on the door or the opener itself does the job ? thx
This one has a torsion spring. The door opener does not have enough to lift the door without springs.
5 months on this one and it is working great. I guess I will be making a video in about 4 months when it blows up...lol
It was a gift, so to me it was free :-) The old Stanley was a 1/2 HP, and this one is a 3/4 HP, so it shouldn't wear out before I die...lol
Hi, I'd like to know how your Genie runs. I am looking for a new one to replace the old one that failed last week. I found this model was positively commented and recommended by many reviewers.
So far so good. I have 2 of them now and they have run fine since I installed them. And they are quieter than chain models.

It came with the track and like 3 remotes.
saltyshellback where did you buy yours?
I think home depot.
How were the wires placed on the sensors? White wires towards the inside of the garage and stripe towards the outside?
From what I remember, it doesn't matter which wire goes where on the sensors. It just provides continuity unless the light sensor is tripped.
good job salty shell back good job great job what is your dogs name how many dogs do you have do they bark alot
Hey man. Does the tension bracket stay on after adjusted? Thanks
Yes, it does.
wow good job salty shell back also are you going to replace the garage doors or no
Probably not :-)
good job again has the springs ever broke where is your garage cover
so my white track/guide or what have you on the belt seems to be broken. can't find anything online. just need a new belt completely? any ideas?
Not sure sorry. Have you tried calling Genie to see if they sell a replacement part?
really want that to be my last resort...dealt with them before because the motor quit on mine and it was a nightmare to get a new board sent to me. thanks though
OK. Good luck!
Hey! I just want to know where’s the learn button located
It's on the motor housing. Check this video.
ruclips.net/video/6ShTBFFcU0k/видео.html
Do you still have this same garage door opener.
I have moved since then, but I think the openers are still there.
so you had free time to go hunting & you could done my honey do list too, lol! what were you hunting?
Liftmaster, Chamberlain and Sears all have belt drives. As well as screw drives and chain drives. I hope you got a deal on that Genie, because it won't last as long as a Chamberlain, Sears, Liftmaster.

-----> SKIP to 13:11 to hear the sound of the door
I was going to list the old unit on craig's list for $20. If this thing doesn't take a crap in about 2 months, I will buy another one for the other side.

Truly appreciate your help. If you don't mind, would you please make a video to share?
Sure. I'll try to get one recorded and uploaded this week.
Thank you!!!
That was easy!
Only the best crap on this channel!
gotta do this myself, googled it, you were 3rd, time for a re watch!
I have had these for 1 1/2 years and still going strong!
I think im going with craftsman, not sure yet, dont care the brand as much as price and goodies.. Figure these are like soup cans these days.
Yup, I have heard both good and bad things about all of the,. I got this one because I wanted a belt drive and also got it over powered so it doesn't have to strain to open the door. the 2 I have now are 30 years old... I hope these last as long...
thats a heavy wood door correct?
Hmmm...nest time i go visit Nuts, we can come see you and fix it then :-)
also salty shell back good job again do you still have your dog or no
Yes we still have our dog :-)
How are these holding up?
Garagedoorpro20 they are holding up great! I have since moved and have not heard the new owners mentioning anything about the openers having a problem.
The new one that u got is better than what u had but if u were gonna get a belt drive should of stuck with chamberlain
OK...duhhhh...I thought you meant to lube the opener motor. Yeah, I got plenty of WD-40. Will have to do that today :-)
When I bought my townhome I had this installed by my uncle (handyman) and one day all I had was the keypad and not the remotes to close the garage door and drove off to work. Sure, you can have a cookie! Bring me one too :-)
I installed this opener. I have it all done and when I press the button it gets half way and starts to buck and the door jams and stops. I might the belt tighter, looser. By hand the door opens fine, but when I press the button it goes up half way and the rail starts going all wacky, like shaking then it jams and stop. WTF!!!!!!!!!
oh dear, i have my honey do list, lol!
Thanks
My pleasure!
how do you connect the wires
It is pretty straight forward in the instructions, but I can make a video if you need to see how it is done. Basically, you just strip the wires and back out the appropriate screw on the opener, slip the wire into the hole and tighten the screw.
Oops, sorry I missed this comment. I have no idea why it is acting up. I am new to this brand and type of opener myself. There may be something jamming the belt inside the track. If the belt is too loose, it could be bunching up inside. You may have to tighten it up. Good luck.
Man I wanted to hear it open and close a couple times. I am sure all theumbs up you get are for the music.
Sure Robbie! You can have my old one too if youbwant...lol
What height of door was it for
I am not sure what weight it is rated for but the old ones were 1/2 horse power and these are 3/4 horse power so they are more than enough power for this door.
4 years later hows the genie holding up?
Still work like a charm!
saltyshellback nice!!
OK, I will have to find out how to do that. Quieter is better :-)
Why not change the other one to.
I did eventually.

How to l'installation thé carriage
I used metal straps to bolt it to the ceiling. There is no real technique to it. I just bolted it to the ceiling where the old one went.
I know right? I could do a whole video just on the doors opening and closing.
Sounds like you are trading the click of the chain for whine of the motor.
Not really, the old motor could be heard through the whole house, you can't hear the new one in the house.
@@saltyshellback I'm glad it works for you. It's probably just me, but the whiny style of openers really get on my nerves.
Do a web search for genie_programming-excerpt_eng.pdf file and it will take you to geniecompany homepage web link which shows how to reprogram your unit (youtube squashes all web links otherwise I'd link it here)
Yeah-1-800-honey do
Even from what I can tell, maybe the doorbell went on that Stanley vemco, like if the person in this video could run the door with the remote controls, then you could possibly replace the doorbell switch. Imagine if that was the problem.. a $10.00 replacement...
I like belt drives, but they don't have that traditional sound of chain drives and screw drives that I LOOONG for.
Not a hate comment btw, Sorry ._.
Leroy No problem 😄 Ingot these because they were quiet. The old Crafrsmans were so loud and rattly, you could feel the floor shake over the garage...lol
:O You're still alive? Lol anyways, Craftsmans? Loud? Floor shake?! dang that's loud...
Leroy News of my death has been overstated 😆

Bob Miles hmmm....make a video and blast them on youtube. I personally have not had a problem with my openers.
I agree with you! I have taken more new genies down than the old ones
My 1/2 HP Genie screw drive has been opening my single 16' door for 17 years. I think it's lasted pretty well but now it may have stopped working and I'm in the market for a new Genie belt drive. Thanks saltyshellback for the video.
Vince you will be much happier with a chamberlain belt drive!
Congrats on the three years, hope they work great for years to come for you.
nvrcrywlf Thanks!
The one u have now I mean
Ok thanks
They are all made in China now a days, and from the reviews I have read, they all had their share of problems. I wanted a belt drive, and Genie was the only one I saw that had a belt drive. I'm not trying to lift a particularly heavy door and the existing opener was more than enough power. I just wanted something quieter and had newer electronics. The problem with the old Stanleys is that they have a range of about 10 feet, and the lights don't work on them anymore.
If that's the only reason for the video then why did you post it
i souldve taped hw homeowner saw this vid n thought motor anchoring was nt important.. da door pulld frm one side to on anther n totally damaged door..SMH
He probably did not have any spring assist on his door, or did not anchor to the ceiling joist.
LOL...what, you don't like some good porn music? Their cars will be parked outside, so the garage door noise is not an issue. I think I will be getting a boot for their cars :-)
Make the video.
A little noisy
also salty shell back i moved to orlando florida also do you smoke and do drugs or no i never do that stuff do you also are you going to get new garage doors and new springs. for that house salty shell back also does your backyard have a pool and screened in patio or no does your house have a long driveway or short a driveway do you work for a garage door company or no
don't mount the opener the way he did. Follow the manual , that's what its for
Lloyd Warren hmmmm ok. Jesus loves you!
Lloyd Warren huh?? You’re still here? Sounds like you are the one having a problem letting things go.
i had to go n repair sumone dat anchor the motor same way n totally destroyd da paneling on da door..
OK thanks. It as been like this for 4 years, so i think it will be OK.
genie garage door openers are not of good quality unfortunately.
This one has metal gears so the possibility of failure is lower.
saltyshellback
yes thanks!
+armoredinnerjacket You can see at 7:00 that the gears are metal.
9 months later, there junk...don't buy these genie garage door openers.
