Great job with the door. Power opener is a good choice to, hand cranking them can get to be a job sometimes. We had a twenty foot one on a building at work that was hand powered for about 10 years.
Yes we had a chain hoist on it and we were in upstate Va. and when it was cold, your hands would freeze cranking the door up. Made opening the door in the early mornings a tuff way to start a day.@@PineyGroveHomestead

we put in powered 10 x 12 doors in our new barn.We are too old to be lifting large heavy doors. So I love this decision and the remote makes life so much easier...hit that in the UTV on the way to the barn...and drive on in out of the weather
I just put in 2 of theses same doors, same size in my shied. I uses my tractor and loader. pallet forks with sawhorse on them to raise them up. they install really easy. i like mine. 17 hundred dollars a door for me (no electric motor)
Florida requires a wing loaded door in all structures, even pole barns. I do a hurricane rated, steel wind lock door for $3600 installed. With that opener I would have been at $4375 out the door.
So the installer came out during the build to make sure the opening was correct, but he still had to ad-lib the install because the brackets didn't fit without removing the door trim and doing some creative bolting, and wallering out a nasty looking hole on the back of the track.
With this prices we will start seeing small companies going bankrupt cause the prices went up but the paychecks have not to compensate. Imagine a product going from 1750 to 3850 in 3y. Insane. Great door BTW. I am in need of one of those motors too
I'm with you. You keep thinking at some point construction will have to stop due to price increases, yet it doesn't. People keep building. At least lumber has come down to earth.
@@PineyGroveHomesteadyeah ty god the price of lumber went down. In my area though almost nobody is buying houses theat go up for sale on the market. I have never in my life seen so many houses of for sale for so long and nobody buying them. And I'm talking about all frice rances from 200k houses upt to coule of mil houses. And let's be real look at car sales, they rased the prices into Narnia to the point that people don't buy cars no more and even now after the ev prices crashed and ne car market crashed people are still not buying cars. House market will be next. I give them 1 2 y before that will happen[ef not even sooner than that) let's be real at this point it's not about chain supplies it's about people getting away with being greedy and tryng to make high profits. They don't understand they will infuriate people like ford dealership did and than nobody will buy the product just out of spite for what they made the people go trough
Another great video. Thank you. Appreciate the share. Have a good week. Be safe, healthy and successful. Blessings and prayers for you and family in Jesus's Mighty Name ☝ 🙏 🙌 💪
Does the door have any kind of draft stop around it? I see similar doors sold with metal buildings, and they always have big gaps and seem kind of cheesy. But I'm sure you can get roller doors with better metal and edge seals.
Excellent video! I have a very similar roll up garage door opener that I am going to be installing myself. We have to modify the garage door shaft and extend it and then move the mounting arm out 4-5 inches to fit the opener. If we would have had the opener at the time the door was installed, it would have been much less work! I noticed your opener has a different style "finger" setup that goes in the holes in the drum to rotate. What brand is that opener? I would like to see a close up of how that finger system works as mine has 2 fairly large fingers that are too big to fit without modification and aren't adjustable either, so I have to drill a new hole in the drum as well. Could you share anymore information on that opener with us?
I'm certainly glad I was installing that nothing worse than someone breathing over your shoulder when you're trying to do a job I just hate people looking at me when I'm working and filming me that would just not no no no no won't I'd be gone😅😅😅😅
QUESTION: Is there a cost difference between this style of rollup door and a traditional residential garage door? Is your rollup door insulated? Tim in northern TN
A traditional garage door is a little cheaper, but not much. And you probably know a traditional takes away your overhead space. None of our doors are insulated. Thanks for watching.
I still don't quite understand how it's used in the end result. Do they cut the bottom of the door so it's at the correct angle when it closes to create a good seal?

Keith and Lauren work so well together. I love those roll up doors.
It fought them the whole way, but they got it! Thanks for watching.
Great job with the door. Power opener is a good choice to, hand cranking them can get to be a job sometimes. We had a twenty foot one on a building at work that was hand powered for about 10 years.
We were going to put a chain hoist lifter on it, but decided we ain't getting any younger!

The barn is coming together nicely, I really like the roll up door

We agree! Opening and closing that door twice a day would get old!
What motor did u use?

Great Job! I bet that feels great to have the door installed!! That Motor is so small too!!
It does! Got us thinking we want our Mega-shed door powered where we keep the tractor and excavator!

Very nice door. Great video!👍🏻
Thanks.....all I did was record and talk. They did all the work!

Most things require some adjustment on site. Door works perfectly and that's what matters.
How about a closeup of the motor and braket
How on earth did they have the right color paint with them?!? Love my rollup doors way more than overhead doors.
Right? Can't even tell the bolt is there now. Now onto that barn floor.....the barn that took 4 years to build!!

Do you have the link for your power door opener?

They do make these roll up door insulated. But not a real high R Value.
What do you do when there’s not enough length in the Jack Shaft?
Not sure what you mean but this Easy Roller 14 adjusts automatically to the length of the door for up and down travel. It can do up to 14' doors.
Depending on the type of door - if it's a "mini" door then you can add a mini door extension kit to create the space required.
Hi is this door insulated
No, it's not insulated. Thanks for watching.
What type of motor are you using?
Easy Roller 14
What model door opener is that?
Easy Roller 14
Where can I buy this rool up door motor?
Thank you
Link? Couldn’t find it on Amazon
I guess a Laser Level is too high tech.
Water is the perfect level. Quick, easy, never wrong....and doesn't need batteries!

Disappointed! lol I wanted to see it close to the floor. ?? What's up??
It closes to the floor!! Works great.
I see the problem. The installers don’t know what they are doing.
But it's installed and working!!
My thoughts exactly !
bidenomics pricing.
It's NUTS!
