I thought I followed direction well. On the open-door position, one side of the belt is very tight while the other side is very loose, hanging about eight inches. What did I do wrong?

Hi, what was the problem did the motor died?, I have the same Genie you installed and it is doing the same sound and it doesn't open like your old one, do I have to get a new motor? thanks.

My motor was 14 years old when I changed it. The motor didn’t die.Sometimes work , Sometimes not working So I decided to replaced it with the stronger motor which is better and faster. Did you check the spring if it’s broken?

It looks like you replace an existing worm-drive unit. I would think you could have used the same mounting bracket against the garage wall.

    Interesting video. Thank you.
It is beyond me why guys wear their hats backwards. No, you do not look cool, it makes one appear as "not-right-bright!" Do you realize it leaves a silly half-moon suntan on your forehead; it also appears when not wearing a hat as well. Thus, wearing any hat backwards makes the person come across as a "Bubba" not knowing the bill of their hat belongs in the front for protecting their eyes, not cool.
