2:11 I doubt that that's enough sunscreen. Also constantly massaging it between your hands, taking product of the face transferring it to the hands. Thats definitely not 2mg/cm2 on your cheeks.
I used the eye masks one time so far and they were so soothing and as soon as I removed them, around my eyes were super smooth with no wrinkles for most of the day...I am 71 years old.
I have been using the Universal Tinted Sunscreen as my foundation for many years also! I have tested many others and cannot find anything better! I LOVE DRMTLGY! ❤
@@christencharm I use DRMTLGY C5 under the Universal Tinted Sunscreen. There is no pilling and this tinted Sunscreen does not get in my fine lines and wrinkles. I do have oily to normal skin and live in a humid climate in SW Florida.
The Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask is seasonal favorite of mine. The first ingredient is pumpkin purée! The fragrance comes from real clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon extract.
Can you guys do an episode on skin care for kids/tweens/teens just starting out. My son is 12 and is a little freaked out by the burning sensation of cleansers & kits. Can you also discuss foods & habits they should consider for skin health?
I agree with everything except the eye masks. Yes the are throw aways - I’ll give you that negative. But, I have seen incredible improvement in my tired, sagging eyes in mornings when I have been dehydrated and have had a lack of sleep. I don’t use them regularly but when I need them, they are lifesavers. No bad reactions either.
@doctorly I'm just pontificating on the fact that Dr. Shah used the term, "Cosmetically Elegant." I'm adding this to my verbiage arsenal in defense of my overgrown collection of too much s**t on my bathroom counter...(and hidden under the shelves and stacked up in pretty baskets in the closet.) "But it's Cosmetically Elegant!" 😅😂 Great video xoxo! Thank you, as always 😊❤
I love Drmtlgy. Basically my entire skincare is from there. I have rosacea and always had the worst breakouts! Since I started using Drmtlgy I only have the occasional breakout.
I have crazy sensitive skin but still LOVE that pumpkin mask!! I can not tolerate anything with citrus ingredients and most fragrances but this does not bother my skin at all! A huge staple in my skincare regimen!
Never tried the tinted sunscreen mainly because I love colorscience flex as my foundation replacement. Tried the pumpkin mask, did not notice any improvement. Nice texture and small but no way it removes clogged pores.
I would love an updated am and pm routine. Cleanser, serum(s), moisturizer and sunscreen. I see your summer one-but the others I used to determine my current regiment are all 12 months or so old. I would love to see what “new” products you have discussed lately makes the grade for ultimate routines!!!
I have used Drmtlgy products for quite a while, a few years, and everyone raves about the needleless serum but I honestly saw no improvement in my skin using that. My very favorite product is the peptide night cream. I have bought that on repeat. But what I found was that the print on the label was coming off on my hands and smearing on the container so on their Facebook page I commented about that, and they took my comment down! However, they private messaged me and asked me to send a picture, so I did, and their explanation was that they got a bad batch of labels. I don’t think that was true because I have since purchased three more jars and it’s the same thing. So I started putting clear packing tape over the label so that doesn’t happen, lol! I also do really like their pumpkin enzyme mask and because of my trouble with the label, they did send me a complementary jar. And with respect to the tinted moisturizer, it really didn’t give much coverage, so I have since started using the Australian gold tinted BB cream, which is also a sunscreen with 50 SPF. I love that stuff way better than the Drmtlgy. Plus, it’s way cheaper!!
Same here-it actually kind of blows my mind. I’m highly sensitive and I got this as a free gift and didn’t use it for a long time and now I just love it.
I realize that many people can take AHAs better than I can, but that L.A. Refining Serum was far, FAR too much for my skin. It also used to have Grapefruit Peel Oil in it, which was AWFUL and cloying. They must have updated the formula because I don't see it anymore (I wasn't the only one complaining about it), but it's still packed with fragrance, so I'm not sure what you're saying about it being fragrance free (Fragrance (Parfum), Geraniol, Linalool are the last three ingredients, and Citral is halfway up). Just a warning for those with sensitive skin. The indie brand Chemist Confessions has an unfragranced exfoliating serum I can actually use called Baby Steps. I highly recommend it.
Omg I’m so glad you mentioned eye irritation after using disposable eye pads. I tried my husband’s eye pads and went to my dentist appointment the next day with such inflamed eyes she was reluctant to treat me! 😂. I now use any eye cream and the dieux forever things on top and never get a reaction. I think a deep dive into them should be one of your future videos 👌🏻. Thanks for the content you wonderful specimens ❤
The DRMTLGY L.A. serum has fragrance, Geraniol and Linalool, all potential irritants that can interact with sun exposure. Yes, the good news is it has two PHAs (Gluconolactone and Lactobionic Acid), lactic acid and licorice, all great ingredients but the benefits don't outweigh the risks of irritation.
I've been using the Universal Tinted Moisturizer for a few years, as well as the Physical Mineral Tinted Sunscreen. What I love about the Hybrid (Universal Tinted Moisturizer) is the texture and the super elegant application. It's simply so smooth and does a little color correction too. Simply gorgeous product. Also it's water/sweat proof up to 80-minutes) HOWEVER, IT STINGS MY EYES if I'm not careful and/or if I'm sweating during walk and it runs into my eyes. What I LOVE about their PHYSICAL Mineral Tinted Moisturizer/Sunscreen is that it can apply it directly on my eyelids and right under my eyes, and there's NO STING AT ALL. ALSO. as a regular Tretinioin user, I find that the Physical Mineral Tinted Moisturizer feels really comfortable and soothing on my skin. What I WISH Drmtlgy would offer is a SPF50 Version of both sunscreens!!!! PLEASE PLEASE.
Few things: Is the main reason why celebs look amazing because they get treatments? Or can you look amazing with quality products & healthy lifestyle only? My assumption it’s all of the above. Would love to know of any cheap treatments if you haven’t discussed that already. Also, would love to hear about vitamin/mineral deficiencies that are important for skin and overall health. I just came back from the doctor after having to specifically ask for mineral/vitamin deficiency tests (those don’t come with regular blood tests, folks…had to learn the hard way) and I was horrified to find the important minerals I was deficient in. Especially since it was causing hair loss, bad skin, thyroid issues etc. Edit: Selenium deficiency folks. Look into it. It’s a major one that most people are deficient in. Affects your heart, cancer prevention, thyroid, and more. Most famous athletes died of heart conditions due to their insane rate of sweating out minerals and not replenishing them. Especially selenium.
I wanted so badly to love the Universal Tinted Moisturizer. Not only did it have zero coverage, it burned/irritated my face and I really don't have super sensitive skin. So bummed :(
I do not get the hype on the universal skin tint SPF. To me it’s watery & doesn’t sink into the skin easily. It also provides very little coverage. To use it as foundation is a mystery to me! The Colorscience Flex or the Elta MD UV Elements have much more coverage. The smell in the Drmtlgy one is not nice either.
I agree! I tried tinted moisturizer for 1 week and had to stop due to the smell. It also made me break out. It seemed greasy to me. I love Colorscience Face Flex. I had high hopes for the Pumpkin mask but it was disappointing. My skin felt hydrated but not exfoliated- no smoothness.
DRMTLGY has caused my skin to be terrible. Red, peels, super dry, itchy, breakouts (and I rarely breakout at all) magnified my pores significantly, and now I appear to have rosacea according to my Dermatologist. I don't know what is in their products that my skin does not agree with, and I have never had sensitive skin, but it has cost me over $1,000 in Dermatology bills trying to correct the problems. The pumpkin enzyme mask was the final killer to my skin, it started burning pretty quick after applying it so I washed it off asap. It's been almost 8 months and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel with my skin recovery, thank goodness. The company offered me "site credit" to reimburse the $300+ I spent on their products when I contacted them. Customer service was horrendous. We'll just say everyone on my gift list will be receiving a foot cream now, lol. Their foot cream is actually fantastic. I will say I didn't have major issues with the tinted sunscreen but it is a warm color and I don't feel for cool toned skin. I had several people comment that my skin had a orange cast to it.
I've experienced the same thing with this brand and a few others, and I'm pretty sure it's the niacinamide that is irritating my skin. Plus, some peptides irritate me as well. You'll have to let me know if you think this might be an issue for you, too
@@amandagriz, I usually don't have issues with niacinamide but it might be a difference of the amount in the products. I do have an issue with some peptides but never to this degree. Maybe the combination of these products is the issue? I wish I knew. I will definitely be super careful with trying new products in the future.
@@evas1968completely agree with the poor customer service. I commented somewhere about not liking the universal tinted sunscreen because it oxidizes or something, and turns a dark orange around my hair line and they told me that couldn’t be from their sunscreen because their universal tint technology makes sure that it matches your skin tone perfectly…yet I’ve only had that experience when using their sunscreen 🤷♀️
I just got the matte universal moisturizer with spf and the luminous eye corrector and I love them both. I was just diagnosed with melanoma on my face and have to be very careful now so I was looking for something that would give me light weight coverage with SPF and this stuff works great! Their customer service seems excellent too!
I was hoping you all would have mentioned the new eye serum especially since I’ve read about retinols causing eyeball dryness potentially. (I put eyeball because people have thought I was talking about dryness of the skin around eyes when I’ve mentioned it before. Still, great video!
The universal tinted moisturizer is my go to... I’ve tried so many different spf and all of them would break me out.. this was the only one that left my skin looking nice.
Oh I’m loving this series. Can I suggest you do some other brands like Peter Thomas Roth, which also has a pumpkin mask by the way and Andalou brand does as well., Clinique, Lancome, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, Vichy & Laroche posay.
I love using their recovery cream that has catus juice in it I dont specifically use it on my face so I can't speak on that behalf I use it as a hand cream and its so soothing. I also love their foot cream I feel like that isnt talked much about its so soothing on my feet after a long day of work. I tried their night cream on my face and it made me break out so I no longer use it. Overall I love the brand and think it is worth trying if a person is interested especially right now with their black friday sale.
I recently found your channel and I am loving it!! I have been binging your videos Have you reviewed Bambo products yet? If so where can I find it? If not do you think you will some time❓️⁉️😕 Thank you
I was hoping this would be more of a deep dive on the brand, not just the most popular items. That being said, I love all these products even the eye patches
I've used many products from this brand & almost all the products you two have mentioned. I enjoy the pumpkin mask & the eye mask patches, the needle-less serum didn't do much for my skin & I haven't tried the tinted moisturizer. I like this brand overall but everyone's skin is different. Thank you for the review.
DOCTORLY: please read the comments and respond to the many concerns that are stated about some of the products you are giving very favourable reviews too. I love your channel and take a lot of your advice. The only downside is Comments are seldom responded to from either of you which leaves a lot of people up in the air,Ithink.please please Realize that some comments do require an explanation from your channel!
I’ve noticed this, too, and it really isn’t helpful if you’re going to all the trouble to create videos, why not respond to your subscribers? I’m unsubbing today.
My skin is tired of all the actives I used & it dries & damge my skin. Laroche posay lipikar AP+gentle foaming cleansing oil & this DRMTLGY are the only I used. Great barrier relief & Aestura are good too. Try it!👏👏
Love your videos and use a lot of the products in the video. Regarding the eye mask - keep in fridge for cooling effect and yes otherwise agree with you guys. It is like the sheet masks for the face but only for the eyes + cooling if needed. Appreciate all the time you take to explain so many products pro/cons. Learning a lot more and always good to stay up to date. Wish that more would be talked about the harmful ingredients / cancer causing colors in a lot of high end products. I started over 30 years ago to eliminate when i can artificial colors but still see so much in cosmetic advertised. Blessings,
Love your videos and content. Thanks for talking about the tinted sunscreen. Could you please talk about Colorescience sunscreen flex (can be used as a foundation too)and its total eye 3-in-1 renewal therapy spf35? Thanks.
I use the pumpkin enzyme mask and I think it smells like pumpkin chai! I have the eye masks too, which i had already decided to not purchase. But they are good to lock in moisture. I’d like to find a caffeine treatment that doesn’t make my under eye look like dried up fruit afterwards.
I loved the Drmtlgy Universal tint but man, when I would go swimming or go running and sweat, it would get get into my eyes… and ohhhh it BURNS!!!!!! So bad. I had to stop using it because of this
OMG Hot Docs. I can't get through your video because you two look so funny with the white goop on your noses and then Dr. Maxie goes and puts those eye things on and I can't stop laughing. I love your videos so much. I will have to go back and try to watch it again. I'm crying I'm laughing so hard. Don't you two dare change a thing. Your videos rock......great info and you both are hysterical. See skincare can be fun if you watch Doctorly. Here we go LOL LOL
I’ve seen a lot of reels and Tik Toks talking about eating carrots everyday can give you a tan look. I know that beta-carotene can carotenemia but I’d like to know the validity of if eating a lower dose of beta carotene can cause you to just have a more healthy glow like in the videos
I also like this cruelty free brand. Universal Tinted is my sunscreen & foundation as well. What do you think of their Vitamin CEF & Retinaldehyde ? Love this new series 👍 Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
Why was the doctor concerned about the added Eugenol in the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask? Is it bad for our skin? What about the added talc & red dye? I have the mask.
I happily use DRMTLGY’s night peptide cream as my daytime moisturizer year round and my nighttime moisturizer in the summer (I like something richer in the colder months). I am a big fan of their CE & F. I cannot use their needleless serum - it made me break out. I didn’t care for their Physical Tinted Moisturizer-it feels thick, heavy and oily. I’ve also tried their neck cream and eye cream and just didn’t feel like they did anything for me. Like anything-some products are good and some okay. For me. Everyone has different experiences based on their skin.
I love the tinted physical sunscreen. Its my daily go to. I have dry skin and it works both winter and summer. The nontinted physical wasnt my favorite it was greasy but drying.
You should look into LDN(Low Dose Naltrexone) for pain. I have used it for pain after hurting myself lifting weights and it works amazingly well. In fact, I used it instead of pain killers after a major dental surgery. It is a prescription, and you can also have it compounded into a cream for different skin conditions. It would be awesome if you did a video on it. I was kind of wondering if you could use it to help the burning and itching from tretinoin.
Hey Guys, I Happen To Really Like The Dermatology Eye Patches. The Eye Patches Feel Wonderful, I’ve Even Used Then Around My Mouth and Over Time Make A Difference. 👍🏼
This sunscreen is such a miss for me. I’m quite pale but I have dark hair so I’m not sure if that is why, but when I put this on, it gets super dark in my hairline. Not right away though, which is annoying because I’ll try to make sure I’ve blended it well but I won’t know until I’ve left the house and mirrors are less accessible to me.
I'm wondering now if Drmtlgy Physical tinted Moisturizer SPF 44 is good?? I have been using it for two years now.. eeek without checking if it's a good sunscreen???
I’ve used several of the drmtlgy products and have even repurchased. I do like the sunscreen but I usually only use it on work days. It’s a true tinted moisturizer so I wouldn’t call it a foundation if you’re looking for a huge amount of coverage. It’s more likely to have some mild complexion evening. The lactic acid serum is good. For the needleless serum, I honestly don’t think it’s anything amazing. They make a peptide moisturizer that is amazing for drier skin that has all the same benefits and makes your skin feel like butter. Given the cost (and just personal preference) I’d rather have fewer products that provide the same results. I’ve never used these eye masks but I use the Three Ships brand. Transparently I have genetic undereye darkness so I don’t think that they do much for brightening but they feel great. And bonus, they don’t irritate my super sensitive skin. I would call them an experiential product with mild benefits.
I apply sunscreen in the morning. Do I need a second application when I leave work at 3-4pm? I wondered as I work indoors and don’t sweat , the sunscreen would still be effective after 7-8 hrs?
I was really hoping you would mention the peptide night cream. I just bought it and can’t tell if that’s what’s making me breakout really bad. I know there’s one comedogenic ingredient and wondering if that’s the culprit
I started using their Day Dream spf at your prior recommendation, but it whites my face OUT (I'm medium skin tone). I'm going to try the Universal Tinted Moisturizer and get back to y'all.
Their broad spectrum Spf (the UNTINTED) has been one of my holy grail sunscreens for the longest time. Every time I feel like other sunscreens are irritating my skin, I go to it. And every time I use it, my skin looks better and better.
Every product that I have used that contains some form of sunscreen (yes, even foundation) has caused me to break out. It doesn't matter if it's chemical sunscreen, physical sunscreen, mineral sunscreen, or gel sunscreen. I have not had luck with these products. Something in the product has caused me to itch like crazy! I have seen so many advertisements for DRMTLGY that I took the plunge and ordered the Universal Tinted Sunscreen, with hopes that since this brand is good for sensitive skin, it will work for me. A few years ago, I had a spot underneath my eye that the eye doctor had to remove, and it was pre-cancerous. I hope that the DRMTLGY product will work for me. I should be receiving it in the mail today from Amazon, so I'm anxious to try it. Otherwise, I try to stay out of the sun. If this works, it will be my foundation for the summer. If I like it, maybe I'll continue into the cooler weather months (but I don't have high expectations fo r this....I guess I'll know soon whether or not it will work for me). They have also been pretty greasy--and that's not with me using a ton of product. It gets worse in the summer (or warmer weather months), so that is why I'm trying it out now. Drs. Maxfield and Shah--do you have any suggestions in case this doesn't work for me?
I love Biosence vit C w/ rose oil and squalene..and that vompany is not cheap on many things ..but I got a discount on under eye things ? Haven't tried as just not long ago had eye surgery...Think I can... interesting and Thank you both ❤😊
Oh No on that Brighness eye Masks! I haven't tried it yet ...I am scared of microneedling ... interesting..I have fair sensitive skin do I will try ...and then see what I think ...bc i dont want to throw them away, Appreciate you both are fun 😊
I started using the Universal Tint product based on your recommendation. I love it. Needless Serum I enjoy as well. Will need to check out LA Serum. Thanks so much for this video!💜
The pumpkin mask turns my skin red and breaks me out across my nose and cheeks. I tried lessening the time I kept it on but this product is a No Go for me. Does smell wonderful though. I ordered the Universal tinted Foundation and just waiting for it to arrive. Anything else, scared to try.

Their customer service is terrible
@@evas1968completely agree with the poor customer service. I commented somewhere about not liking the universal tinted sunscreen because it oxidizes or something, and turns a dark orange around my hair line and they told me that couldn’t be from their sunscreen because their universal tint technology makes sure that it matches your skin tone perfectly…yet I’ve only had that experience when using their sunscreen 🤷♀️
You guys are just so much fun !
I just got the matte universal moisturizer with spf and the luminous eye corrector and I love them both. I was just diagnosed with melanoma on my face and have to be very careful now so I was looking for something that would give me light weight coverage with SPF and this stuff works great! Their customer service seems excellent too!
Find a partner who looks at you the way Dr. Maxfield looks at Dr. Shay while he’s talking.
I love the eye brightening eye masks. They definitely make my eyes look better.
Oh I’m loving this series. Can I suggest you do some other brands like Peter Thomas Roth, which also has a pumpkin mask by the way and Andalou brand does as well., Clinique, Lancome, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, Vichy & Laroche posay.
Oh and Weleda & Sunday Riley would be great.
I have been binging your videos
Have you reviewed Bambo products yet? If so where can I find it? If not do you think you will some time❓️⁉️😕 Thank you
I was hoping this would be more of a deep dive on the brand, not just the most popular items. That being said, I love all these products even the eye patches
Could you all do a review of the Drmtlgy luminous eye corrector? So curious about it
I got it today for my purple/blue under eye coloring I’ve always had. It blends very easy and covers pretty good. I’m happy with it!
I had recently purchased it. I have used it twice. It’s amazing.
I do love the tinted moisturizer! That mask was not on my radar but being an autumn girl it looks too yummy to pass up!
What is the difference of Benzoyl peroxide vs benzoic acid??? Is Benzoic acid formulation effective? Thank you 🙂
Are you gong to do NIOD/The Ordinary? They are having a big sale this month.
They never respond
I’ve noticed this, too, and it really isn’t helpful if you’re going to all the trouble to create videos, why not respond to your subscribers? I’m unsubbing today.
Mmm….not very professional to be strongly endorsing a product, then refusing to respond to questions about it!
You do realize they can't respond to every comment. They are not doing dermatology consultations. That's what provider does
@@cdanieldanceof course we know that. What we are saying is that they NEVER respond.
No Peptide Nighttime Cream!?
My skin is tired of all the actives I used & it dries & damge my skin. Laroche posay lipikar AP+gentle foaming cleansing oil & this DRMTLGY are the only I used. Great barrier relief & Aestura are good too. Try it!👏👏
Could you recommend eye patches that you do like? Ones with the new technology that you were talking about. Thanks! Love your videos!
I liked the Universal Tinted hybrid sunscreen, but I didn't like the physical sunscreen because it felt and looked greasy on my skin.
Thank you. I was trying to decide between the two and was looking for comparison.
I hope you were serious about some videos on general health. I would love that!
Missed you guys! Good to see you❤
I'd love a video about esters. I have no idea what the difference is between jojoba oil and jojoba esters.
Thanks.
I've been wanting to try Flex too but I need a satin finish formula and I hear that it is quite emollient and glowy.
@@midlifemom5829 I think Flex is fine but the Glow is TOO much too glowy. I got a glowy sample from them last time, tried it but did not like it.
So bad. I had to stop using it because of this
Thanks guys, enjoy watching you both .
I love the Needless Serum! But sometimes it's a little too expensive for me, is there "dupe" for it ?
Its so Good, its $48 Black friday sale.. Stack up.
It’s so weird when you’re looking at something and then there’s a video on it the next day 🤣
What about their 5C product!? I need to know
Please do The Ordinary next 😊
Can you do some videos covering skin care routine that’s pregnancy safe. Especially for women in late 30s and early 40s.
Love this new series 👍
Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
What is in the pumpkin enzyme mask that takes off the topcoat of my nail polish? It’s got to be potent with something to do that.
Goodness - that’s scary!
@@RS-gl9ht my thoughts exactly
Thank you 😊 I appreciate the video and information 🙏🏼
Is there a safe and effective device (multiple) for body contouring at home?
I was hoping you’d cover their CE+ferulic!
I came to this video JUST for that!!
I didn’t care for their tinted moisturizer as it gave me a shiny orange cast - think Oompa Loompa!
I'm wondering now if Drmtlgy Physical tinted Moisturizer SPF 44 is good?? I have been using it for two years now.. eeek without checking if it's a good sunscreen???
I’ve been curious about this brand and just ordered a few items on your best list.
You are so fun to watch:) I love that Dr Maxfield couldn’t miss out on the mask:)
Can you please talk about the other products you haven't mentioned from "the ordinary " brand. Thanks
Drmtlgy has said their peptide cream is Not non comedogenic.
Love y’all’s videos! Do you have any recommendations for scars on lips from cold sores?
I started using their Day Dream spf at your prior recommendation, but it whites my face OUT (I'm medium skin tone). I'm going to try the Universal Tinted Moisturizer and get back to y'all.
I just ordered 3 products from your recommending the DRMTLGY products. Hope they work.
Esthi here, and I'm curious about what y'all think about the brand the spa I'm at uses. It's a French brand called Biologique Recherche.
Drs. Maxfield and Shah--do you have any suggestions in case this doesn't work for me?
like the finish on the moisturizer but can’t stand the smell. Had to discontinue.
Does the tinted sunscreen smell like sunscreen?
I love Biosence vit C w/ rose oil and squalene..and that vompany is not cheap on many things ..but I got a discount on under eye things ? Haven't tried as just not long ago had eye surgery...Think I can... interesting and Thank you both ❤😊
Oh No on that Brighness eye Masks! I haven't tried it yet ...I am scared of microneedling ... interesting..I have fair sensitive skin do I will try ...and then see what I think ...bc i dont want to throw them away, Appreciate you both are fun 😊
Hey DRs. Can you do a review of TCA treatment, the pro & cons to treat the acne scars❤
Love the demo 😊
