The fair shade of the Colorescience was always too warm on my very fair skin, and it was crusty on my dry skin. The DRMTLGY fair shade is actually fair enough for me and sits really nicely under my eyes! I much prefer it over the Colorescience
Thank you Dr. Dray, for this very important and informative video. The DRMTLGY’s Luminous Eye Corrector works great on my extremely dry, crinkly under eyes with very dark circles. I start with almond oil (tip from Sharalee’s Box of Chocolates), then I’m combining Drmlgty Luminous Eye Corrector with the new Huda Beauty FAUXFILTER Color Corrector in the shade Cherry Blossom. A little goes a long way! I don’t even have to use a concealer on top. I just place a little dusting of Lunar Beauty finally milled Lunarversal Setting Powder and it lasts all day without crinkling. I also started using a concealer over it before powdering and it works great! I also use the Caliray setting spray. I’m constantly on the hunt for a good corrector/concealer and I think I finally found the right combination!
God bless everyone!
✨‼️I splurged and bought both…I really like the DRMTLGY version SO MUCH BETTER‼️ I found the Colorescience to be a dryer consistency and difficult to get an even application, and yes I have tried many different things and nothing underneath. That is why I bought the DRMTLGY and very glad I did‼️❤️✨
Drmtlgy is really stepping up their game. I love this product and the price point is good. I also love their lip spf.
Thanks for reviewing this. I've been curious about it and now I want to try it. I never tried the Colorscience one. Happy Friday, Dr Dray! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a fantastic weekend! 💞
I've tried both & haven't yet decided which one I prefer. Drmtlgy certainly wins with respect to price.
I miss the Vanicream Lip SPF. That was my under eye SPF GOAT.
Yes! I used to use it even around the eyes. I believe Trader Joe’s or someone has a dupe now.
I recently purchased this product, and I have to say, it is top notch. It doesn’t settle in my fine lines, and it does a good job correcting my dark circles. I’ve never used ColorScience, so I can’t compare.
Thank you for this review Dr. Dray. I’m going to buy it! :)
I have this Drmtlgy eye sunscreen on order already! I have used the Colorscience 3 in 1 for years and love it. I'm one of those who is looking to lower costs where possible. You have made me very hopeful that this will do everything I need it to, namely sun protection and color corrector. Thanks for your timely review!
Amazing video Dr Dray!❤
Happy Friday. I also love the Colorscience Total Eye and I purchase DRMTLGY products as well and love them. So I will certainly try the DRMTLGY Eye Corrector SPF 41. I had no idea about this item, thank you for pointing it out!
Heard about this three months ago from Penn Smith Skincare. She's good about alternatives for expensive products and she loves DRMTLGY. She's a good resource when their sales come around.
It's always nice to know that there are wonderful and excellent dupes for original products because it's nice to cut on expenses if we are on a budget but don't want to cut skincare from our daily routine 😊❤. Thanks Doctor Andrea for reviewing this dupe take care and have a wonderful day.
Happy Friday
Hey Dr ,is manthol good for rosesia skin?@@DrDrayzday
Dr Dray is the Best!
I like to select my sunscreen separate from my color corrector but I don’t mind a bunch of different steps. These are great options though!
And as an aside Dr Dray you look stunning! Your makeup in this video is the best you’ve ever looked. Glass skin and the prettiest shades for your color. Chef’s kiss!
Can't wait to watch this! I love the color science so hopefully it's dupe able
Happy weekend Dr Dray…see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Good review! I just received my Drmtlgy eye corrector in medium. This is amazing! I have used Colorscience in the past, but it was too drying around my eyes. Drmtlgy has a winner with this eye corrector. It blends easily (I used my finger). I have 67 year old skin, and this product is very moisturizing and covers/brightens up the dark under eye problems
I’ve been using this product since it came out and love it! I also have the Colorescience one and this one is my favorite. I agree about your application notes - I find myself using my ring fingers instead of the tip. However, I sometimes use the tip before tapping it in, just like you are. Even though it’s technically not a concealer, I find I don’t need to conceal after using this most of the time.
Great video! I am always looking for sunscreen for the eyelids! Dr. Dray, I would love to see an updated video about Henna, I just watched your video about Surya Brasil and loved it. Thank you ❤
I am currently using this product and I absolutely love it as well as the DRMTLGY sunscreen moisturizer. They really hit the mark on these products👏🏽🤗❤️
Great video content! Thank you, Dr. Dray
Happy Friday, Dr. Dray❤ Have a great weekend 😊
You too 💜
Happy Friday Dr Dray and thank you for the info ❤
Morning!
I love my DRMTLGY products! I use the universal tinted SPF with the under eye corrector.
I prefer the dmtlgy one. Color science is so drying on me..I felt that way about their face sunscreen too.
Good Afternoon Dr Dray ❤
Happy Friday
Happy Friday, Dr. Dray!
As always , it's a perfect video. I tried the colorscience eye sunscreen, but I didn't like it at all !!
Happy Friday
I love Drmtlgy products. Been wanted to try this. I will definitely order.
I haven’t tried it, but I appreciate the review!
Thanks for the info. I am actually opening up that same concealer as I’m watching this video. This makes me excited to try it now.
Received mine in the mail a couple of days ago and then came across this video.
Haven’t tried an eye specific sunscreen but love DRMTLGY products. Your review is very helpful. Tyfs
Thanks for watching!
@@DrDrayzdayhey Dr is manthol good for rosesia skin?
I love the dupe and it really is a great product. Got the face tinted sunscreen and that my summer routine plus mascara and lipstick. Thanks for sharing 🦋
This was super helpful for me, thank you! I love the feel of the drmtlgy luminous eye, but I find it too pigmented. I don’t want a ton of coverage on my skin, and if I apply enough for good sun protection, it starts to look cakey. I’d been considering trying the colorescience one, but if they are so similar, I’ll skip it. Maybe I’ll try a baby sunscreen for the eye area instead. Do you have a favorite one, Dr Dray?
Thanks for the in-depth comparison :) I am always looking for performance but also price. I like DMRTLGY's universal tinted sunscreen but it is a hybrid and I sometimes get eye irritation if I am not careful. I often don't wear anything but the sunscreen as the tint is a good match for me and the eye cream is interesting!
So I have a slightly off topic question. When dermatologists speak about reducing dark spots on one’s face, are dark spots due to hyperpigmentation the same as dark spots caused by sun damage? Can you reduce dark spots caused by sun damage the same way one treats hyperpigmentation or does sun damage require laser treatments to even one’s tone? Thank you.
While I haven’t had much luck with Drmtlgy tinted sunscreen, I really like this product. It isn’t a concealer but it really is perfect for my dark circles. I use it when I just want to put something on to look presentable, like running to the store or walking my dogs. Not drying and works well for me.
I am Colorscience fanatic and have never strayed! Some things are just worth paying for, HOWEVER with the savings they have now for mother's day, I ordered the eye corrector and the Universal Tinted Moisturizer SPF 46 ( not igh hopes like Colorscience) but again willing to try them. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
I love the color science. I’m excited to try the drmtlgy version and save a few bucks!
👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you Doctor!
I’ve been using Colorscience flex for over a year and absolutely love it! I use it around my eyes with no burning or stinging. It’s perfect for my sometimes dry skin and stays on even when I sweat here in the humid south. The color is perfect and covers much like my makeup. Thanks for recommending it! Pricy, yes but you get what you pay for and my face protection is priority.
I’m excited about this dupe, Dr. Dray! Also…I keep seeing this eye cream recommended in my Facebook feed and RUclips feed. It’s by the Ayurveda Experience - Rufolia Periorbital Eyemulsion. Could you do a review? Their other products make a lot of claims as well.
I moisturize with Cerave eye the purple box, and sunscreen my face very delicately under the eyes and then Tarte under eye concealer. it gives me a nice smooth finish for most of the day. THANKS Dr. Dray
Thanks for the very helpful review. I may give it a try during one of their sales. Right now, I use the Neutrogena Purescreen tinted sunscreen around my eyes. It doesn't migrate into my eyes like other mineral sunscreens seem to do. It doesn't color correct but the shade I use does brighten the eye area.
They're doing a 20% off mother's day sale right now.
Hi Dr Dray !!!
Morning!
Thanks for keeping us on top of all things related to skin health!
I used the color science Total Eye on my eyes for years along with the elta MD UV Clear tinted facial sunscreen on the rest of my face, avoiding my eye area. Recently, I’ve been using the elta MD facial sunscreen all over my face, including my eye area and skipping the Total Eye product. Is it safe to apply the elta MD facial sunscreen to my eye area? Will it protect my eye area? The ease of using one product has been wonderful, if it is safe and effective.
Dr Dray often applies a regular facial sunscreen to her eyes so the Elta MD should be fine.
Happy to spend $$ on the colorscience face and eye sunscreen. Totally worth it. I spend so much on skin care to ruin it with sun exposure.
I'm gonna try it ! I started using the drmtlgy peptide night cream. Can u review that PLEASE
I love the peptide night cream. 😍
I’ve tried both and the ColorScience stung around my eyes. The one by Drmtlgy worked better for me. It went on well and didn’t irritate my eyes at all. My eyes are super sensitive and I’ve had a hard time finding a sunscreen that didn’t make them sting and water. I can’t speak for how makeup goes on over it because I don’t wear any except for some mascara on rare occasions.
Love Drmtlgy products… especially this one
Happy Friday Dr Dray so excited to be here I live for this ❤️
Morning!
@@DrDrayzday ❤
Greetings David Shabas hope u r well n Happy Friday😀👍💜….
@@whitneybrown4067 Happy Friday Whitney😀👍
I love the Drmtlgy product❤❤❤
Colorescience for the WIN! I have tried a lot of under eye (just bought Trish McVoy under eye treatment 46.00 dollars hate it. Anyways, sticking with Colorescience.
👀👀👀 Always looking for a good dupe! 💜💜💜
Me too!!
Its third ingredient is the chemical sunscreen filter butyloctyl salicylate aka octisalate. I wish brands would quit doing this. Why is that ingredient necessary when it’s over %20 zinc and titanium dioxide?
They do it to reduce the white cast while claiming to be a mineral sunscreen. It's very annoying.
I love this new eye sunscreen. I can use it as daytime eye cream, sunscreen and color corrector. It makes a good eyeshadow primer. I don’t use the applicator either. I pat it on with a finger. It dries down pretty fast and I find the applicator drags under my eye.
I bought this and I really like it !
👍🏼👍🏼
Can you make a video for those of us who suffer from allergies to every sunscreen and face lotion I have ever tried. My skin never reacts on the surface, but my eyes begin tearing, my nose starts running and I get completely congested. All the video's mention skin reactions but not sinus allergies. I use the product with the slowest sinus response but have not found any product that doesn't bother me. My dermatologists have just given up and said not to bother wearing products or sunscreens.
Hi, I had a question I ordered this. I am allergic to mushrooms and Portabella’s and I noticed it had snow mushroom after purchasing it. I have not received my package yet and I just wanted to know is snow mushroom the same as regular mushroom and Portabella
Is this good for old skin? Or will it be cracky and dry looking throughout the day?
What about the Oil of Olay products?
Dr. Dray, I am a 58 yr old lady and I am wondering what your thoughts are on waxing the face. Is it something we should or shouldn’t do? I believe menopause is the culprit with mine… Thank you in advance …
Personally I haven’t had a lot of luck with DRMTLGY. Have a great weekend!❤️
I had the universal tint sunscreen . It was TOTALLY rancid in 6 months . The kind of rancidity that makes you gag
The color science has always been on my to buy to try list! Thank you for this review، this product will be replacing it۔
Why is it not linked؟ also what is the difference between cost between both products? Ty!
Loving Drmtlgy eye corrector. On my third one. I even see a difference with crows feet.
I just purchased the Drmtlgy version of that under eyes sunscreen/color corrector. I’ve not tried it yet.
I am so happy with this product (Drmtology). I don't have to use concealer when I put it on.
Can tret and red light therapy work for androgenetic alopecia without minoxidil?
Hi I have recently purchased this product. I agree with you. It corrects well, doesn't crease, and goes well under makeup. However, I still avoid my lids because I still feel a little stinging. I wonder if I should just try the baby mineral sunscreen instead. Can I wear makeup over it?
Yes. As Dr Dray said, just treat the sunscreen as a primer. Pretty much every derm who uses make-up and does their GRWM morning videos, uses sunscreen first and then applies make-up on top. Some might apply a concealer before but you can definitey wear make-up over it.
Thank you @@db-gb5xi
I use a Q10 cream around my eyes, to avoid any 'fine' wrinkles there.
This is right on time. I have used Colorscience for years. It used to be cheaper. This year it is $79. I am not going to pay 79 dollars for sunscreen. This is just ridiculous. So I will try the recommended one.
One question does minocycline get rid of post inflammatory erythema?
Could you recommend something like that availble in Europe?
I bought it and I used it once and I’m still not connected to it and I love love DRMTLGY products use them religiously. I guess I have to give this one more of a chance maybe use it more lol but I did find it a little drying which I did not expect.
DRMTLGY IS an excellent product. I love it ❤
Greetings Dr Dray hope u r well n 🖐Hello Every1 n Happy Friday😀n what a Wonderful Vid…. thanks n This is Gonna b so Cool🔥👍n Continued Blessings to All💜…..
Happy Friday Whitney Brown. Have a lovely day and take care. Have a great weekend.
Greetings d b hope u r well n Happy Friday😀👍💜…..
Morning!
I bought drmtly and I love it.
Great product, the only thing is that the lid does not stay on
I use the Drmtgy sunscreen but I found that free about a month it smells. Is this normal? I asked them and got a useless answer.
Just a hint. I use a mineral sun block and keep a teaspoon in fridge. Press under eyes b4 applying. 💜😊
Are you looking for Video Editor and Graphic Designer??
Speaking of eyes, how is it my eyelids can feel both oily and dry at the same time?
Happy Friday all xox
Good morning!
I reaaally wanted to like the DRMTLGY one but it settles all over my 55 year old under eye lines. I have to let it settle and dry down and then repat and few times to smooth it out, but at that point I feel like I am just removing product. I’ve used powder after and it doesn’t make much difference. The brightening effect, however. Is nice.
This is the best dupe!
Why are companies putting hyaluronic acid in their sunscreens? Isn't it contradictory? Hyaluronic acids are supposed to be applied on damp skin, contrary to sunscreens; will that make your skin dry?
Hii...i kept my susncreen in the car on a really hot day by mistake and it has become a little watery but no colour changes ...is it not as efficient now?
I would not use it, that can definitely lead to compromised performance
Maybe try switching to a solid stick sunscreen. I keep one standing up in the door of my car and it hasn’t melted - work’s great at car stops 😎
I don't even want to know the price of the Colorscience if this is the dupe. I just received this in the mail this week. Was looking forward to trying until you said that it wouldn't totally cover dark circles. I realize it's not advertised as a concealer but in the ads it looked like it did.
In terms of sun screen and sun protection would you talk about UVA and UVB and the automatic protection provided by car windshields and tinted windows. The Skin Cancer Foundation website notes: UVA rays lead to tanning as well as skin aging, wrinkles, and even sunburn. "While glass blocks UVB rays pretty well, it doesn’t block UVA rays. Windshields are treated to shield drivers from some UVA, but side, back and sunroof windows usually aren’t. So when you’re in your car, you should protect yourself and your family from that sunlight shining through the glass." more ...
The same holds true for windows on airplanes, trains and buses. Have you ever felt like you’re burning up sitting on the sunny side by an airplane window? Yes, you’re being bombarded by UVA up there, too, and maybe even more so because of being at high altitude. (Airline pilots and crew members tend to get more skin cancer than people in other professions.)
My friend keeps telling me I am protected in my car and I don't think I am. Also address the sun azimuth in terms of UVA and UVB protection. I use the U.S. Naval Observatory settings for that one. UVA and UVB in December versus July and 9 a.m. versus noon and northern latitudes versus southern i.e. Maine versus Houston. Thank you so much for all you do. It's truly appreciated.
I think the only portion of the DRMTLGY that is a “dupe” is the packaging. Had they wanted to dupe the ColorScience product, I think this would’ve been launched years ago. I truly believe DEMTLGY tried to do a little better.
Never had I tried an under eye product, SPF or makeup, that performs so darn well. It did a great job covering a dark spot over the apple of my cheek m; a spot that I’ve targeted with lots of skincare AND 8 sessions of clear and brilliant laser.
This DRMTLGY “eye sunscreen “ as I call it is awesome; and I’ve been using their skin care for a year which has been really good as well.
I have the colorscience and I'm not really a fan. It does nothing to color correct and settles into fine lines.
Unfortunately, the Drmtlgy Eye corrector didn’t work for me. It always looks dry on me and I have oily skin! I tried two colors (fair and medium) and both were dry and caused flaking. I tried it with and without concealer over it. I tried it with and without a moisturizer underneath. I couldn’t get it to work for me.
I use the drmtlgy spf moisturizer underneath
It was awful for me , dried out my eyes so badly and made them puff up , I have not found any of their products that work for me. Prob bc my skin hates niacinamide and they have it in most of their products.
Please address the danger of using retinal around the eyes and what it might do to the meibomian gland and cause dry eyes which happened to me. I believe people should be warned of this danger by our doctors.
She did in a video a fewvdays ago.
This rarely happened to me until I purchased a retinaldehyde. Even my lips feel dry and there is nothing on them. I’m going to try a different brand.
You may want to consider a low percentage retinol unless that is what you’re using.
I love color science new eye but it always creases 😢
Looks good but wow £58 for only 7ml (60 days worth) here in the UK is pretty crazy, i'll just keep my sunglasses glued to my face when I go outside 😃
I think you love mushrooms Dr. Dray. 😂 either you’re slathering them on your face or drinking them in your coffee
Hey dr ,is manthol good for rosesia skin?
Probably not. In her videos on rosacea/sensitive skin, Dr Dray has said to avoid things like menthol.
Colorscience bothers my eyes. I use Eucern which doesn’t bother my eyes
Where do you buy it?
I get it on their website, DRMTLGY plus the standard ending....if I leave the link, this comment will just get deleted 😒
They are having a 20% off Mother’s Day sale right now
The EltaMD eye SPF is awful and caused my eyes to burn.
