    I'm struggling with acne when i was 17 now 26 , I took 2 short courses of accutane and antibiotics many times in past, my acne always came back and in 2022 it got the worst i ever had i couldn't start accutane due to other health issues and your videos motivated me alot to go for another course of accutane in june 2023, your vids helped me alot and alot in managing side effects unfortunately my derm couldn't help me much other than just writing medicines, i am about to end accutane and i going to start microneedling, i hope my scars go away soon and acne never comes back, forever grateful for ur content and help, u always replied me whenever i asked from you💗

    This is such a great video for explaining just how many different factors go into acne (especially hormonal acne)! I also felt so validated when you mentioned there was actual evidence that petrolatum based products could be beneficial for acne, I’ve always found that to be the case for me personally (and also my skin has improved a LOT since switching to heavier creams rather than only sticking to very light gel textures).

    I’ve tried all the Acne diets for My hormonal acne, The gluten-free low G.I. index, no dairy, no carbs, no sugar.. it’s made me so afraid of food. Gave me an eating disorder. I Went on isotretinoin it helped but it’s been a year since and it’s come back worse then before. Finding a good dermatologist has been a struggle. I wish I could go to you. 😢

    • @emity859
      @emity859 28 дней назад +6

      Oh I feel so sorry for you...I've been struggling with acne for many years and believe me...if it's hormonal (mine is) it doesn't have anything to do with diet. I've been there. Don't be afraid of food. Accutane helps, I'm now on it but microdosing (maybe it would be a good soution for you too)and it will probably take a long time, like years and I've accepted it. I take 20mg weekly and it keeps my acne at bay. And, yes, acne comes back if I don't microdose.
      Free diary, gluten etc diets don't help, just follow a healthy normal diet for your general health. Hope you can overcome your eating disorder. ❤

    I’m so happy for this video because I just asked her this question ! And she helped me clear my every day acne with other videos.. but she’s right I have thought oh shouldn’t bother a doctor over period breakouts 😂 but now that I’m over 30 it’s so awful to fight aging and acne ! So thankful for Dr dray she’s the G.O.A.T in my opinion.. I literally spent thousands of dollars from products and facials and then i started watching her videos and in a few weeks time had the clearest skin of my life and saved so much money doing it ! She has helped me clear skin save money .. and continue to learn so thank you Dr dray .. I think a lot of people do not realize what a mental health disruption it is to suffer from severe acne or other skin conditions..

Now I have permanent scarring. If only things like laser treatment were covered 😢. Now I’m looking at acutane as I’ve tried everything. I always read the ingredient list of every skincare product that i purchase but i simply don't point out a specific ingredient or ingredients that is or are harmful or irritating to the skin because each individual's skin is different and who knows how it will react to a product 😅 so instead of preaching stuff that we possess no knowledge of better consult a doctor who is dedicated for such things aka skin related problems/abnormalities 😊❤. Thanks Doctor for pointing us out the importance of knowledge possession and general awareness on topics such as these.

    I started to get acne at 38, really bad. Before my face was inmaculate. The use of masks during COVID caused me this and after 2 years using tretinoin got really better. I have minimum scars but the problem arises during my menstruation.
    My issue is the dark spots that take very long to disappear and I’ve just gotten away from nuts 🥜 and make up and moisturizers because I think that makes my pores to get clocked.
    What I don’t get rid off is my sunscreen that serves as moisturizer.
    If I have a special event where I need to use makeup. I use tinted sunscreen and cream blush. That’s all and cleanse asap.
    Think we need to observe and listen to our skin in order to pick a good rutile but first get a dermatologist to help you with initial treatment

We are tired of doctors who pretend they know what ia going on. How do you not know after literally a decade? You guys might know how it all happens but most of you dont know how to get to the root of things or really listen. I stopped going to derms last year because its a huge waste of money. I have improved more from my own experimentation than doctor's advice. It's sad.

    Who cares? Only person with acne. I m tall, good looking, successful man, father who don't have problem have women which he choose and I would never degrade anyone with acne. It is last possible think to use against someone who has acne. On women is much more important personality, positive mind, heathly lifestyle, be famility-kids orientend, be happy from simple thing. I had lot of acne, so does Miss Colombia had some which I spend some time, so does my ex girlfriends and also my wife. And is far better look on your black/red/white spots in to mirror=care about your self, than waste time with asocial networks.

    The audio quality is bad. There’s a sound humming and the voice is nasal and it echoes.

      In other videos/shorts on hormonal acne, Dr Dray has said all types of acne are hormonal.
