G-Code is all I buy if I can. I love the fit, the lines as well as functionality. I used to buy Bladetech but they’ve gone downhill. G-Code is the stuff! Waiting for a box of goodies from them now.
Great Review on the G-Code Scorpion System because of your Review I ordered the Pouches because I already had the G-code SOC, OSH and even a XST all with RTI hardware so now I have the Scorpion Pouches and you are 100% Correct they are AWESOME! Since I run Glock 40sw and 45acp/10mm, 1911 45acp, Sig P226 357sig, P220 both in 45acp and 10mm, P320 in 40SW I can just run ONE belt with ONE type of Pistol Mag Pouch. The Scorpion Rifle Pouch fit my AR 15 and AR10, Ruger Mini30, SIg 556R which uses AK47 mags, and my New CZ Bren 2MS in 7.62x39 which uses a modified AK that goes into the Bren like an AR since they CZ put the AR type of hole on size of the mag instead of having the mag being rocked into position! Almost forgot my AR15 mags in 7.62x39 which have been a ROYAL PAIN in the BUTT to get a Working mag pouch to work properly with them since they have a very sharp curve like a AK mag also WORK GREAT in the Scorpion Rifle Mag pouch! Now I have a great War Belt that I can use for Competition or for taking a Class! Thank you for the HEADS UP! I used a Safe Life Defense Tactical Belt as the Base for my setup since I got the Belt recently and I did not see the point in getting 2 HIGH END Belts when I have several 80-100 dollar belts that do not have have the MOLLE on the belt so everything is on the outside of the belt so the Velcro has no issues attaching to the outer belt. Like I said before I basically had individual belts for EACH pistol Rig that I RUN and it was getting to be a PAIN when going to a Training Course and I took 2 different weapon systems even if they were in the same caliber they had different Magazines so the Mag Pouches were NOT COMPATIBLE but those days are NOW OVER!!!
dirty old man comments aside, the best point you made was about the thigh strap. I have several battle belts, but your demonstration of the need for a thigh strap was VERY helpful. Thanks, from the dad of two preteen girl shooters
I run the same G-Code belt setup. You gotta use the inner belt through the belt loops. It’s about consistent placement of your holster to get a consistent draw. I use the Safariland mid ride holster instead of the G-Code holster.
Very Nice set up. I recently just bought a HSGI operators belt set up with matching pouches.(2pistol,2rifle,dump pouch, ifak & black rhino concealment w/ safari land qls qd attachment system) It seems theres many good belts on the market& that as long as one buys a quality set up they should be good to go.
Clearly, you know what you are talking about. That said, please stop making me look at your hips and belly button. My cardiologist is getting concerned. 😎
I just got their drop leg system and OSL holster. G-Code is top notch in my book. Been looking at getting the belt as well, and have been holding off because I can’t decide on what inner belt I want. Looks like the padded Velcro option works well though.
Cool belt Kat! I like how it gives you options for carry position. I've tossed around the idea of thigh holster, I am not against conceal either I just hate the feeling of it against my body. I usually carry 3 o'clock position. I am lucky enough to live in a constitutional carry state so I can choose either without a permit although I can't cross a state line unless they've got constitutional carry as well. I finally cleaned the repr and took a photo of it and made it my pic on here!
Interesting material, probably would suit our area which is wet tropics. Thanks for mentioning that its 100% locally made, makes a big difference and especially veteran owned and operated 👍👍Cheers
Exactly!!!I love seeing hot women and guns. But I draw the line at them showing the world how to use the guns or gear incorrectly. Too many men are caught up in her beauty. I want to see more video from Kat but she needs to get it right or be called out for things she gets wrong just like any other RUclipsr.
I love Gcode products! I’ve been running them for years! Wanted to throw out there (you probably already know) but TREX arms holsters can be bought with the RTI plate to run on your Gcode rigs if you like their holsters or like in my case Gcode didn’t offer the pistol/light combo I needed. Great review! Keep up the good work!
Nice setup,Kat. Had to watch twice, was too focused on your ZEV the first time... Interesting point on the drop/thigh holster. I personally prefer my gun up higher but your demo proved a valid reason for it
I’m curious as to IF the belt was the correct size and fitting tightly, could you run the drop holster WITHOUT the thigh strap? I just curious as to how stable it would be. I like the drop height, (great if wearing a carrier) but hate the idea of having the extra step of strapping a thigh strap on. Thanks.!👍🇺🇸
Holy shit..that is exactly what im looking for..ive been to 3 diff. Tactical stores..have not found a thing like this...Going to buy one of these Tonight...👍👍😁Thanks KAT for doing ALLthe research..
WHEN I DID EXTRADITION WORK, I HAD SIDEARMS ON BOTH HIPS AS WELL AS AT THIGH LEVEL. WE WERE FORBIDDEN FROM HAVING EXTRA MAGAZINES, AND WERE ONLY ALLOWED GAS ROUNDS AS LESS THAN LETHAL SITUATIONS IN WHICH WE WERE TO ENCOUNTER. THE GAD ROUNDS WERE ON AN AR-15 WEAPON, HOWEVER WE WERE ONLY PERMITTED TO DEPLOY THE LESS THAN LETHAL ON PERSONS WHO WE DEEMED A THREAT TO THE PRISONERS WR WERE TRANSFERRING. WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO DEPLOY NO MORE THAN 2 GAS ROUNDS, THEN USE LETHAL FORCE. I VOLUNTARILY GET UPWARDS OF 5,000 GAS ROUNDS FIRED AT MY FACE, WITHOUT A GAS MASK, FOR FUN. I LOVE TO SEE PEOPLE GET ALL STIRCRAZY WHEN THEY ENCOUNTER THESE GOOD OL FUN TIMES, BECAUSE THEY START GOING " OH MY GOD! YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM!" I TURN AND SAY "I DO THIS FOR FUN" AND WALK AWAY, LEAVING THEM IN SHOCK, WITH BEWILDERED LOOKS ON THEIR FACES. IT IS NOTHING TO ME.
Almost sold on this setup in conjunction with a KobraKydex Retention holster. My question is how the G code detachable holster setup holds up. Did you cycle a lever or button before removing the holster? If the holster in whole can be ripped off the belt, what good is the retention in the first place? I suppose the seized weapon is still holstered for the moment.
Curious as to why you have one RTI wheel on your belt, and one on a drop leg? Are you deciding on which you like better? If you keep them both, I would think muscle memory could cause problems later with different pistol locations.
And here I am using a surplus H harness rig with Alice clips for my M1A. Call me old fashioned. It really throws some people that the mag pouches have grenade pouches as well. Jump test that rig for rattles.
