I like history museums the best, so I like to build museums that have sculptures, paintings, and photos, but also have a large "travelling" exhibit dedicated to something historical. I made a Titanic exhibit that was loads of fun; including room recreations, by passenger class (blocked off, of course, and just for viewing). I spend more time building than playing, so the big exhibit can be periodically changed. (Say, to 'recreate' Sixam for Sims to walk through, with a section dedicated to the first Sims to go there, or have an old west town, or prehistoric tribe. You could even choose a Sim to serve as some sort of historical figure, and curate their life to put on display with paintings, sepia photos, and scenes- Maybe they explored the jungles of Selvadorada? Or perhaps they were just a famous painter, in troubled times, and half the display is their art of Willow Creek.) Man this video really inspired me to go create a slew of museums!
I love this idea! In fact, I love all your ideas! You're a breath of fresh air into the sims community! While other people just love to complain about the game and bash the devs, always griping about how TS4 is boring, here you are just living your best life and finding ways to make the game fun, not just for yourself but for every simmer out there too! The community really needs someone like you. You probably have your own opinions about the game itself, but the way you still express it in a positive way is really encouraging. Keep up the great work! You deserve 1M subs!
Oh my gosh Rei of Sunshine you are living up to your username and showering me with this positivity! Thank you so much, I really appreciate the super kind comment and supportive words!
My gallery ID is just 'peteyplaysit' :). Though most of these museums I just built out the rooms rather than the whole thing. I've added the Space Museum to the gallery as well as three separate rooms as the photography museum sets which can be added to any space :).
Super creative and thorough. You're already giving Carl a run for his money. I love all of these ideas, and it's giving me an idea for changing the museum in Del Sol Valley into an old movie studio with a similar layout to the one in the actor career, but Sims can visit normally. Been wanting a place with a public lab, so I'll be stealing your science museum idea, and the collectibles one for my collector sims.
The photography one is my favourite idea! I love taking pictures when i do legacies or 100 baby challenge type things, but it can become such a hassle to set things up for every sim. Having it ready on a separate lot could help a lot! I might even use cheats to deduct money from the family as a sort of fee for using the equipment/sets.
More great ideas to try! My only problem is deciding which one I need to build first! Keep the ideas coming, my gameplay has definitely improved since I found your channel!
I actually saw this video semi-recently and downloaded the Haunted House museum since it looked so cool. Sent my Sims there on a Spookfest group date, and it was a really fun time! I particularly like the jack-o-lantern display area, that's so neat :D
You are single-handedly keeping my interest going in this game. Congrats on over 11k! I sincerely hope you continue gaining traction. You absolutely deserve it. Please keep this incredible content coming!
Man, your channel is a joy! The Sims 4 may not be the best but your channel has shown me ways to spice up my game and get the most juice out of everything we have, thank you!
Your haunted house will be perfect for spooky parties! One of my fave parties to throw but so hard to complete unless you have multiple pumpkin carving stations.
I made a botanical garden in my game where I collect all the plants. Whenever my sims finds something new I'll let them plant it there. There is also a flower arrangement table, handicraft table and I think I'll adf the juice machine from eco living :)
This! This is the kind of stuff I subscribe to your channel for! I hadn't even thought of types of museums! I've said this before, but every one of your videos ends with me loading up the game to test out a new idea you have spoken of! I am going to keep commenting and liking in the hopes it will get you more views ;)
Thank you so much Erin! Really appreciate the kind words and the support! And i'm so glad you liked the video! It was a bigger project haha but one I really enjoyed :), will definitely be looking to keep doing more idea-focused content in the future!
I normally hate collectibles in sims and see no reason to collect them but your idea really motivated me into filling up a museum of collectibles, you're really creative
these ideas are amazing!! I just got a laptop with only the basegame after my own laptop crashed and I decided to fill up New crest, can't wait to add these museums and play with them!😊
The space museum is awesome! I'm maxing all the skills on my vampire sims and trying to build one of these will be fun game play that will get her rocket science skill up!!!
Your videos are sooo amazing! Sometimes I don’t feel like playing the sims 4 anymore until I watch one of those videos, giving me so many original ideas. I definitely want to build a space museum in Oasis Spring and a haunted house in Forgotten Hollow!
This is so creative! You deserve more subscribers! I really appreciate all of the ideas that you have for gameplay. I don't see these types of ideas on other channels that make Sims guides.
this is a lifesaver, I'm currently renovating community lots in my save, and although I'm trying to keep the shells the same-ish, I wanted more variety in the museum types, but the Sims doesn't have many cool museum-y items. I had a more basic plain museum with regular fancy art and sculptures and a Victorian interior for willow creek, but wanted to do something very different for oasis springs. that space and science museum sounds perfect!! :) and though I have ideas already for a few other world museums, these will all be so helpful when I'm getting stuck or feel repetitive!!
I'm definitely going to try revamping my museums. For the most part they are just unused lots that my sims never visit. I love the idea of turning each museum into more of a theme. It gave me an idea for gameplay: making a sim who "owns" and is the curator for a museum. Such a good idea, I love it!
Amazing job! I really enjoy your videos anyways, but this one really knocks it out of the park. It also makes me think of things I never thought of before and to add / try. Thank you for these, and please keep it up.
I love your museums. My favourites are the space one and the light one (that one is very unique). When I saw the spooky one I thought about a witch museum, with all the witch instruments and the moon fase painting.
your channel is incredible. im excited to play the sims again and have so many ideas building off the ideas in your videos. such as i wonder if i could pull off an aquarium, or a museum of natural history using selvadorada and sulani stuff. maybe some fossils and whatnot. Thanks!
I love those ideas!!! I have written them down on my phone so I don't forget. I always replace every build in my game since I always find the gameplay so boring if I don't. 😀 🧡
Brilliant ideas. The photography museum reminds me so much of The Original Selfie Museum! I'd never heard of it before. I went to one in Miami. So cool for The Sims!
these are all awesome ideas and they inspired me to create a museum in strangerville about the questline! the idea is that it exists to illustrate the story of my sim’s (servo detective) investigation and defeat of the mother plant, along with some other alien plants from sixam, telescopes, and a warning not to let one’s desire to learn about alien plants overtake their good judgment.
I can’t believe I only just found your channel!! Your ideas are amazing and I can’t wait to start incorporating them into my gameplay!! Keep up the great work!! ❤️❤️
These are great! I'll definitely try some of them. I made the museum in Del Sol Valley into a similar concept to your photography one, you can go and dress your Sim up in movie costumes and then take photos of them infront of a variety of movie sets. I used the weird shaped roof to accommodate the mast of the ship set.
So many great ideas for when I get more packs! I love interesting places for hangouts + dates and will for sure want that photo studio/museum when I get that pack. "Owning" a museum will give my collector sim and his artist son something to work towards as a life long passion but I'd still love to favorite your lots for a rainy day too
Having the community lots improved will really improve the game, thank you for all the ideas. I also like your museum video. I also wanted to add, that anything would be an improvement to the Oasis Springs museum! That place is sparse and it doesn't even have a computer room. It's sad. So I made it into a skills community center, where the sims can work or some of their skills, like computer, painting, cooking, charisma, blogging, vlogging, fabrication, and so on.
I love all these interesting and creative ideas your channel has been giving me lately. Thank you for the awesome and informative videos you make and keep up the entertaining and helpful work you do ^.^ Side note, I'm not gonna lie...I actually laughed out loud during your first bit with the space-themed museum at 0:50 where the Sim got into the backyard observatory to, form the looks of it, stare directly into the side of the building. XD
Thank you so much BloodWolf for the super kind comment! I really appreciate it, and I'm glad you got a laugh out of the video too haha that makes me happy :).
Well I feel validated! I did a pretty big rebuild of the Oasis Springs museum in to a Museum Of Science and Industry (Gallery ID: CaptLL, "Oasis Springs MoSI (v2)") and while it is all base game, it has a few of the ideas you suggest for the science museum as well as a number of the collectables as exhibits. It was mostly inspired by a Kate Emerald video where she used the glass roofs as walls, so it looks pretty unique
Never been able to figure out the museums before since, as you say, most of the in-game museums are quite pointless. But these ideas are good for having some museums that make sense
Yooo, all of these ideas are soooo cool! Definitely will be downloading the science museum, the emotions museum, and the photography museum to my game!
Thank you Hailey :) So the photography museum was just a few sets I made rather than a full build, but I've added the sets as rooms onto the gallery for if you're interested, 'peteyplaysit' is my ID.
these are great! i want to make them all now lol these will be fun for my legacy family. they can leave their pics and pumpkins for generations to see :)
If you ever want to build a building but don't want to meet every requirement, just build a basement with no stairs and put the stuff there.
Charlene I am living for this hot tip thank you!

@@PeteyPlaysIt oh man I was hoping they were all on there because these are so good lol
@@LolliMolly09 me too:(
Omg I wanted the spooky one so much!
Awww I really wanted the spooky museum it’s so great!
I've never even given a second glance to museums, this definitely changes that! Thank you!
Super creative and thorough. You're already giving Carl a run for his money. I love all of these ideas, and it's giving me an idea for changing the museum in Del Sol Valley into an old movie studio with a similar layout to the one in the actor career, but Sims can visit normally.

Thank you so much for the kind words Kyrien! I'm loving the movie studio idea that's super cool! Fits in perfectly with the neighbourhood!
The photography one is my favourite idea! I love taking pictures when i do legacies or 100 baby challenge type things, but it can become such a hassle to set things up for every sim. Yes! I have a suggestion: What if you made multiple different areas in the museum?
Example: Lights in the bacement, space upstairs, etc.
Thank you so much Victoria :) I'm so glad that they've helped!
I actually saw this video semi-recently and downloaded the Haunted House museum since it looked so cool. Sent my Sims there on a Spookfest group date, and it was a really fun time! I particularly like the jack-o-lantern display area, that's so neat :D

Your improvement videos have always been top tier but I’m absolutely in love with the photography museum idea as well as the haunted museum
I normally hate collectibles in sims and see no reason to collect them but your idea really motivated me into filling up a museum of collectibles, you're really creative
You should do a guide to the engineering skill/career because I do not understand it and feels like a lot of work
Thanks! I am trying to build more and museums are always hard for me. These ideas are fantastic!
Thank you so much for the support Sof :D
these ideas are amazing!! I just got a laptop with only the basegame after my own laptop crashed and I decided to fill up New crest, can't wait to add these museums and play with them!😊

I love the emotions museum idea! I usually just ignore new rest but now tempted to have part of it be a cultural neighborhood with lots of museums.
This is genius! I follow a lot of fellow sims creators, but you are my fav., your videos are so informative and consentrated
Thank you Rūta! Such kind words :) Really appreciate all of the support!
Love the haunted house theme

Awesome ideas. I like to add bars and kitchens to museums to use them for parties (handy if your sim lives in a small or cramped house).

Thank you so much Roxxi :) Appreciate the nice comment a lot!

Thank you English! Appreciate the nice message!
Not long ago I asked for a museum idea and there you are. :)
I like the community museum where every household can contribute too.
I go back to this for reference. The science museum was so so good. I’m definitely gonna do the photography museum next!

Here's an idea for a museum; an art museum. Include a spot where your sims and townies can paint then hang them up around the museum.
