I built a granny flat for my CEO sim’s sneaky link to raise his kids while he and his wife reach the top of their careers. So far, he has 5 kids (an older son and twins with his wife and twins with the mistress). I had her in my household, but I got annoyed with my glitched baby always crying so I moved them out. Now I just make tons of money without raising young children. I did recently move the eldest son back into the main household. Time for some strict Tiger parenting! Nice to see the gameplay ideas make a comeback! Don’t feel pressured to rush the next Super Sim episode, take your time! And don’t let rude people get you down Petey ❤️
Yes! I've been waiting for this ever since For Rent was announced! Another idea: Create a themed/corporate town (possibly using multiple lots) where everyone who lives there has a similar career. For example, all residents are in careers such as Tech Guru, Scientist, Astronaut, Engineer, etc. Another could be Detectives, Military, and Secret Agents. You could even make a space for various clubs to gather and do activities relating to their careers. Also, I love the new look, Petey, you look great! 😉
I've got 2 tenants living in the basement of my sims home (half the lot size for each apartment) which they get to via stairs in a shed in the garden ... seems to work fine. Emergencies are easy to deal with (boiler and fuse box in a 2nd shed separate to their spaces) and sooo simple to make friends with the tenants as they're always out tending my garden 😂
I LOVE For Rent! I have an apartment building full of 2 sisters and their individual families, their cousin, and a couple empty units ready to fill and its great cus they always hang out with eachother and visit eachother's homes!
Love your gameplay ideas, I always learn something or get inspired for one of my Sims!! ❤ And thank you for making chapters, so it's easy to go back at the end and reiterate which ideas we could implement ourselves, super super helpful!! 🙏 My fav idea was the self-contained community, I might try that when the devs made residential rentals more stable. Also didn't know you can pet that cute tiger plushie and that the pressure cooker makes 12 servings. Thanks so much for the lovely video!!
I love these ideas! I know many people hate the loading screen, but I love making residential rental lots. 😅 I use them to make little neighborhoods and expand the livable lots for various households. City areas like DSV, Tomarang, San Sequoia, and Mt. Komorebi become more densely populated and allows me to really bring life to the neighborhood. Even places like Henford-on-Bagley which has large lots I could never fill up (especially the lots in Finchwick) is getting love from me thanks to the pack. I hope they fix more of the bugs soon because it would be one of the best packs if they gave it some of the fixes it needs.
YES! Thank you, Petey! I always forget about camping with Outdoor Retreat pack! I need to have my sims camp out in more areas. Thanks for the reminder and another great video ^__^!
Thank you so much Susan! It is a decent pack! But if I'm honest I do think many of the other expansions are stronger, so I would probably look at them a bit more before looking into For Rent, unless the premise of For Rent really appeals to you :).
The stuffed Tiger and electric tea kettle were the redeeming parts of For Rent for me. Is the lot you used for the self-contained community one you built? I loved the build and really liked the idea. I really want to make an Eco Community (self-contained community style), but have been avoiding Sims 4 the last couple months due to glitches and issues. I'm updating and trying to play today. Crossing my fingers. BTW: if I've never mentioned it before, your Sims are always so cute. I hope you have an amazing weekend!! Take care!
I have to agree that the electric kettle is amazing! The self contained community was admittedly one of the pre-built lots in henford on bagley that I just added some more smaller buildings to, but I defs can't take credit for the whole thing (or even the best part of it)! Also fingers crossed that the issues resolve! I hope you have an awesome week and weekend as well legend!!
11:03 So, imagine you have a Sim with Tsunami power who had died of fungus: this ghost can increase plant quality twice in a row and than again the next day?
I tired to make one of the Hogwarts on the gallery into units for all the students and teachers but the lag was to much. Someone needs to build a Hogwarts with rentals in mind to make it work properly. :) :) :) :) :)
Gah! I do want the handiperson job and some lots in my file would actually make for nice residential rentals... ...but there's no way I'm purchasing the pack just for those.
I WISH I did... but I haven't been able to work it out with heaps to playtesting. I honestly think it might be nothing, but I can't help but think maybe I am missing something!!
The lamas or cows don't work properly in my game. I can't collet milk or wol. How did you make it work? I can place the sheds and buy the animals but I can't clean them or feed them.
So far, when I have moved a Sim into a residential property that they don't own, the game has not moved anyone else in, even after like a Sim month. I get the landlord...Panya Li or whatever his name is, but no other resident Sims. I have had to move other Sims in to have neighbors. Is this a glitch? Did I not wait long enough?
06:36 Wait, you mean that a rent out part of a lot can have its own lot traits where the rest of your lot can have its own lot traits? I hope I saw that correct.
Genuinely asking, how is the pack not working for you? Is it the rentals, being paid as a landlord, the world? And whatever the case is, have you made a bug report about it? Sometimes those need saves to test the problem
For Rent + the packs with occults = Hotel Transylvania
Do it! You know we all want to see this. ☺️
I recommend the Vlad’s Occult Hotel build by doctor Ashley for playing with this idea - it’s a lot of fun!
Bates Motel?
U sir or woman are a genius 😂😂🎉🎉
I like making hotels. Just create a handful of bedrooms and make the kitchen and TV room shared.
Oh, a cozy little bed and breakfast would be cute to build.

Being annoyed by the baby is so real 😂
Thank you so much for the super kind words Unassuming Llama :D. Also that sounds like a really fun playthrough!

Ooh I love the corporate town idea that's so cool! And thank you so much haha, I hadn't updated the profile pic in forever!

I didn't even notice the kettle! I'll be putting that in all my sims houses now.

Just want to say I LOVE you gameplay ideas or building ideas videos.
I really appreciate the kind comment! Thank you so much :D
I renamed my tiger plush after my "house tiger" (my big, heckin' Norwegian Forest Cat, Quill).

Thank you queen Gren!! :D
Petey, this looks great. You have so many neat ideas. I might buy this after all. Thanks so much. Have a wonderful Friday and glorious weekend.😊

Another great video I always learn something usually more than just one!!!!! Thanks! 😊
Thank you for the kind comment Kerrie! :D
Love your content my friend! Keep up the great work !!

I might give "for rent" a try eventually
Where is the lot in the Granny Flat part of the video from? I'm obsessed!
Oh I made it! But I haven't quite popped it on the gallery... I feel I need to fix it up a bit first but I shall aim to pop it up eventually :)
@@PeteyPlaysIt Oh please do, it's fab! 🤩
11:03 So, imagine you have a Sim with Tsunami power who had died of fungus: this ghost can increase plant quality twice in a row and than again the next day?
You can find marbles by searching in pet toy boxes!
Great video!

Peter, do you know what does the mysterious basket from 4 rent do?
I WISH I did... but I haven't been able to work it out with heaps to playtesting. I honestly think it might be nothing, but I can't help but think maybe I am missing something!!
Could t we use this for apocalyptic bunkers too?

Yes, you can give each separate rented space its own traits.
Yes, you can set each rented space it's own traits.

Gameplay ideas for a game that crashes play.
For Rent doesn’t even work though…

"malaysian satay"
This is so wrong😅.
That satay with peanut sauce and kecap manis, is from MADURA. INDONESIA.
where is the next super sim episode
He has a lot on his plate. Just chill and be happy that he posts anything
Gonna make you wait longer now for being impatient
No one cares about this, we just want the super sim play through.
You don’t have to watch these videos but many people do enjoy them so stop making a problem it’s not very fair
Take care
Chloe
Stop causing a problem. People clearly care
Great tips.
I’ll make sure to try these out when the sims team fixes the pack🫠
