OH I LOVE THIS PACK. As a southeast asian its so so refreshing to see some of my culture and the cultures i was exposed to growing up being very focused on in a game. Sims did so well with this, the details is so pretty. Im so proud
Hi..just wanted to mention that while Syd was placing the kitchen items for example, that the button isn't there. So maybe it's just for when you are building and not necessarily for when you are decorating. But that's just my observation I could be wrong.
it should work when the pack officially comes out,, other early access creators have been able to do it.. i think that syd loaded up their regular game to get all the pack items instead of early access because typical early access sims content is just new pack + base game
It was showing up right before, when she sets the units, but it doesn't show up after because there is no more units when she is placing the kitchen items, if u go to 9:57, u will see it. At least I think that is what the green icon is.@@bambina320
@@shyannmartinntheres 2 sets of early access. One is the cfe version that's not final software that only certain creators get, and then a large majority of creators in the network then get access after the base game patch to use the full version of the pack a few days early.
Can you make a kampung style house or an apartment for bigger families? I think it would be interesting to replicate the SEA vibes. As a Malaysian I wanna cry tears of happiness this new pack screams southeast asia and it's making me feel warm knowing our culture is being more and more recognised. Taman Botani is 'Botanical Garden' in Malay. Taman directly translates to 'Park'. It's very common for residential areas in Malaysia have a 'taman', which means a park or playground. I noticed thus new world is heavily inspired from southeast asia. I'm surprised and happy for it!

OMG as a Southeast Asian, so happy to be represented in this game! I know this is more Thai in terms of the overall gameplay, but that lot “ISDA” means “fish” in Filipino. ❤
i'm so excited to finally build little suburban houses on the same lot!! it's not really in the spirit of the pack hahah but i always felt like the lots were too spaced out when i wanted to build busy streets

Southeast Asian architecture can be super detailed and tricky in some part ex. the gable roof decoration which we don't normally use in modern architecture. As a Thai I'm so grateful to see you enjoying this pack. I really wish you to interact with the spirit house and marbles game which can truly represent real Thai tradition.❤

It is possible to hide the lines that appear with unit splitting, I think I've seen people who could disable them by clicking on the green thing in the top bar, next to the bulldozing button.
I watch a lot of sims youtubers but i feel like this girl is one of the best builders out there she can build with any style and she makes it soo beautiful keep up the good work Syd
I really appreciate how you went through all the swatches and items at a slow pace so I could get a feel for what actually comes with it. I'm not sold on the gameplay aspect of the pack, but after watching your video I've pre-ordered today just to get the build/buy. I mean, I tend to play more with build/buy than anything else.

First of all, congratulations on your first EA-sponsored video! 🥰 I'm pretty sure you can get rid of the units' colored lines. I saw James Taylor do it in one of his videos, he even pointed it out. It's up on one of the top bars, like, where you can switch between floors/put your walls up and down. Most people use the page up and down keys, so it makes sense that you might not have seen it. I don't know if it has a keyboard shortcut yet or not.
How are you liking your new house?! I hope moving went smoothly! i HATE moving!! Last time i moved i was 8 months pregnant and lived on the third floor and packed everything almost all by myself 😭😭😭

And, in 2:02 this are more useful once you've already furnished the units, so the decor and furniture won't be visible and it helps with computers that are not so powerful. And about 10:06, the lines can be hidden if you click on the icon that was added in the upper center bar, right by the side of the demolish icon and the time of day icon! Hope it helps! Beautiful build! You nailed it! And I actually was disappointed with the outdoor greenery, they made us pay for the same thing two times (or three, because is Island Living, Jungle Aventure and now For Rent).. not cool...

Ffor rent takes a lot of its inspiration from South/Southeast Asia! I live in the Philippines and a lot of the furniture in that pack looks like ours lol!
I really love the aesthetic of this pack, alot of the build items/ furniture reminds me of home in Hong Kong, especially the dark varnished carved wood accents on like everything, the door with the metal grate, ceramics, the ac unit, the squat toilets (trauma) and you don't show it in the vid but the plastic furniture

For gameplay you could go back to your build where you did tiny houses for all the NSB sims and you were going to play them all at once! Now you could set them all as individual units so you can focus on one at a time and just switch between each colour whenever you feel like it
