Yes! Sort clutter by room. The amount of random clutter in this game is horrifying to sort through.
Satch constantly talking about; "guys I'm not a builder", "guys I'm terrible at building", then bustin' out the most realistic bachelor apartment in the time it takes me to decide which mailbox swatch I want on my lot! 😂

I renovated this apartment for my not so berry challenge and even when it looked better, it made my sim tense all the time between of the lot trait, pipes, rat hole, and electrical box.. and then my landlord got electrocuted and died when she came to fix it lol
Does anyone know when you renovate a apartment or house what do you do then, do you put it in gallery what do you write pls help?
If you want to share it, then yeah, you can put it on the gallery :) you can name it whatever you want, but the most common is “(name of the lot in-game) Reno” so that people who want to replace this lot can find it more easily in the gallery :)
The sheer number of "personal time" jokes was unexpected and a hilarious addition to my morning coffee

In the US apartments have that weird grey fake wood flooring. In 10 years we’re going to look back and be like “remember when we made everything grey?”
yes I just went apartment hunting and all of them had the ugly grey hardwood but luckily I found one with the brown wood that was just remodeled and the floor color alone made me pick that apartment lol
AHHHHH I hate the all gray trend! I'm so glad when we moved into our place that it is gray (RIP) but a very warm dark gray. I can at least tolerate although definitely not my choice. I would be ecstatic to have some BROWN flooring. My in laws that live a few units down from us got the neutral light gray floors and I hate them lmao
I'm so over the horrifying grey stuff. It's so miserable and I'm a guy who likes grey but can't stand what they're doing with it now.
Well, when I was looking for my first apartment - everything was orange and babys**t gold or "forest green" I was SO excited when I found my third apartment that was decorated in shade of blue!
@@baekyum yeah same. I liked gray before the everything gray trend. Touches of it are totally fine. But top to bottom gray is so boring and cold lol
The open blinds thing! How hard is it (genuinely) to have an open and close function, so you're not blocking out all of the light/window when you want to imply privacy with curtains and blinds? XD
Yes, it's one of those apartment with the «need work» trait that's actually a challenge. Really help improve the handiness skill.

I must say this is the most "guys apartment" Ive ever seen. Like - well done! It was so effortless and you nailed it. Everyone seems to make perfection modern chic builds and this looks like a genuine, lived in, man's apartment 😃❤

I renovated this apartment in a trashcore/rotcore/dirtcore style and now it's actually one of my favourite projects I finished in the Sims 4
If you search by room, each room has it's own "clutter" section. Like, I think for kitchen it says kitchen accents and is a bowl of fruit? The bathroom has the towel, etc.
Unfortunately that filter is inconsistent I get bathroom and kitchen stuff in my bedroom clutter still 😮💨

I don't have clutter kits because I'm not a big clutter fan. Irl also. But it does help quite a bit for me to sort it that way. The main clutter option is all over the place.

Reminds me of when I divorced and the only opportunity I had to move to, was a crappy appartment like this one. The option was: 1. Wait 3 more months and move into a clean appartment. 2. Move in today and clean it yourself.
I took option 2. Took out the dirty carpet and the ruined kitchen and put in some cheap but clean new stuff. It were the best years of my life there.
Not gonna lie, I tuned out for the last minute or two because you made me start to think about how hygienic it truly is to use flushable toilet wipes instead of tissue 😂
I recently moved a teenager in here with his little half sister. I thought it was realistic that this was all they could afford. The unmovable stuff in this appartment breaks constantly and you have to be able to access it.

I wont lie chief EA got me on the Modern Luxe kit not for the Faux-Painting Wall mount TV but the Turntable. I was in the middle of building the Proper first House for my Generations save and the Modern Luxe kit was just the touch I needed for the Primary Bedroom and Piano Nook downstairs.
I hope you do more of these renovations for your save file, I really enjoyed it! It’s a good point that we make everything in the Sims 4 “perfect”. I’m guilty of that as well.
I love that apartment! So classy! And don’t worry, I did a teen’s bedroom and did place tissues on his night stand. 🤷🏻♀️🤣🤣🤣
Sometimes with you I don't know if I should laugh or be offended. ROFLMFAO - I choose to laugh. I do enjoy how you talk to us like your having a chat with your best friend. You all are just brutally honest about everything. (that's a good thing)
my sim lives in this, and te easiest thing to do os keep the bathroom where it is, ut a platform where the bedroom is and put a bed n the platform facing a tv (if you use a murphy bed you can add another sofa too). The kitchen should be directly opposite the door, that then leaves space for a desk, dining table, plant and mirror.
If you have MCCC you can delete the pipes, drains, mouse holes and electric boxes by holding down the Shift key and clicking on objects and then choosing "destroy object" :))

Tbh I hope that the for rent pack adds some slummy looking swatches! I want worn, torn, and stained furniture, sloppy landlord paint jobs, etc.
I find it hilarious that Satch always use the toilet from Snowy Escape (same actually), because It feels like 99% of the pack's value is the toilet 😅 but fr though that toilet's more hygienic than toilet paper.

I *feel* you on the shitty, up-charged apartments! That's America, too! It's like walking into a Sanitorium and they're like "It's so modern, right??" Let me tell you that throwing a few nice tapestries up on those shitty walls helps a lot...as do a few fairy lights. You almost forget you're stuffed into a tiny white box! (I'm also in the green is my favorite color camp! Though I prefer more like...neon greens, but I'll take any shade of green over most other colors...except red! A good rich, dark red though - preferably accented by black.)
And you CAN kind of see sorted sections for clutter by like, clicking on the fruit bowl in the little kitchen image during build mode...but even that isn't perfect. I find that when I use that to sort bathroom clutter, I'm inevitably missing most of the bathroom clutter I actually am looking for, and I have to sift through the whole main clutter list anyways! The clutter could use a better sorting tool. (Also, just downsize the towels by 2! Use the bracket tool! They're perfect at that size really.)
I do the same with the Christmas tree. Just waiting for Christmas to see if you get emotional again or excited 😂 pray you find your dream apartment soon

Lower the walls to cut away view and see how messed up the apartment walls and doors are since the patch before High school years.

I just decorated this awful apartment last night while playing dream home decorator lol.I decorated it with brown brick walls and black wooden floors for an industrial loft feel.
I wish objects got worn out in time in the game. Obviously, this apartment was originally built to be one of those nasty apartments you gotta pay 2k for. TV on top of suitcases is a nice touch but the suitcases look so new and in good shape it ruins the whole vibe

I'm doing the same thing with living rooms, I'm also leaving out some space for a Christmas tree. Nothing psychopathic about that imo 😂
I would say the most horrific apartment is the one with the body outline. This one is a close second.

Ok, true story, my mom likes the home reno shows and watches a lot of them and the only time I've ever seen one of those tvs that look like a painting is one of those shows and when Dream Home Decorator came out I said to my niece that we should have had one of those in this pack. Then later a kit comes out with it. I didn't buy the kit.
My parents just bought a house, and one of the first questions I asked them was "where are you going to put the Christmas tree?" So I can relate 😆🎅🎄
I really wish you could redraw some of these apartments. There is an Eco Lifestyle apartment that I would love to combine with the neighboring apartments to make one big one. Would be so much better.
Just letting you know most flushable wipes aren't actually flushable lol
At my apartment complex some of the apartments got flooded because of someone using those wipes and it clogged the pipes.

Oh, I have such fond memories of this apartment in the Sims! I moved Bob Pancakes into it after he realized he was gay and divorced his wife (swear I didn’t force that-one day Bob got the whim to flirt with Father Christmas and I said, “Alright, king, let’s see where this leads. 😎”). Though it didn’t look nearly as nice my renovation as you made it look here.

Please don’t flush flushable wipes down your toilet 😫 you’ll be having to pay plumbers to come tell you the same thing. Because they can damage your plumbing just like flushing regular wipes. They can still end up clogging sewers/septic tanks

I don't want to sound bitchy but I wanted to say something about the flushable toilet wipes.
Most "flushable" toilet wipes contain plastic and while they don't get stuck in the pipes it's not good for the environment, so I hope those wipes go in the trash instead 🤐
