I think a study is a great go-to if you're stuck on what to do with a spare room. If you're building a family house, a kid's playroom could also work. Then there's always the classic spare bedroom for grandma or guests.

Eh I came from about the furthest thing from a nuclear family imaginable and we had a family computer, but for us it was because we could literally only afford to have one and i had a lot of siblings, so we had to share one lol. Most of my friends growing up were in the same situation, them and their siblings and parents couldn’t afford one each.
Oh yeah totally a nuclear household thing for a family computer. Bonus points if you have helicopter parents and they have it faced completely toward the whole open room, so if you put it where you first put that long console table. So parents can walk by and immediately see what you're doing 😅😅😅

I absolutely agree with you, I hate putting clutter in my Sims houses, I get players trying to be realistic and for the sake of immersion, but I could never lols. My real house is already cluttered as it is, having more clutter even virtually gives me a headache 😂 I am a decor maximalist and everyday objects/clutter minimalist lols.
