I love how relaxed but interesting the entire apartment complex is. You've got a great eye for tonal values contrasting well, popping out where it's needed, while still allowing everything else to blend in very calmly. And I agree! The soft red coral is really nice and a bit of fun.

Where I live, apartments don't have lobbies or "shared spaces" and the entrances to the apartments are generally outside. Apartments here definitely look more like motels, than anything
Yeah it's always so interesting. Where I live in germany, realistic would be a rectangular building, no bumb outs or cut ins, just a rectangle, balconies or garden space in every appartement, white outdoor walls with some almost Black accent walls, a gable roof, Big stairwell and appartements with white walls and light wood floors. That's basically every New building that's built at the moment.
Where I live I’d say that most apartments have entrances on the inside, where you walked into the building and there’s just a long hallway with doors and stairs. But apartment buildings with entrances from the outside are pretty common too. All the apartments I’ve seen don’t have lobbies but there’s a leasing office usually as its own smaller building. Besides a pool or a small tennis court or shared laundry, the apartments I’ve been in don’t have a shared space especially indoors. Except one there’s one apartment my friends lived in and there was like a shared club house next to the pool. It had a pool table, fitness center, kitchen and a couple meeting rooms. I’m sure you could rent it out for parties. This place had a dog park too and the rent was super high for this place
I feel like more people in the US have a waffle maker than not, but it's definitely one of those appliances you use a ton when you first get it, realize what a messy pain it is and how hard they are to clean, and then shove in the back of the cabinet and forget about until you move. 😅 I have a mini waffle maker and even it's messy and annoying to clean.
I hate single use appliances, ones that only do one thing like waffle and popcorn makers. You could say a blender only blends but a lot of recipes need blended stuff, it can make milkshakes etc so it’s not a single use appliance to me.

I have to admit we don't use our waffle maker too much but a single use appliance I really like is our sandwich maker. I went through the same thing you described and didn't like using it because it was so annoying to clean, but now that I have used one that is incredibly easy to clean a new world has opened for me and I wonder if there are huge quality differences for waffle makers as well.... the cheese barely sticks on the new sandwich maker it's a dream
I feel like grandparents use them more than anyone with like the grandkids or a breakfast family get togethers lol or at least that’s how my parents are with my nieces and nephew. They literally got a waffle maker just for the kids because they had went out to breakfast and wouldn’t stop talking about wanting more. They also got one for my sister in law and brother for the house lol so there was no excuse not to make them.
Watching these For Rent videos are such a good way to distract myself while I recover from the surgery I had on Friday. Loving these builds a lot Deli!
I'm only halfway into this but just wanted to say that for people who use CC, I highly recommend getting the shiftable mirror overrides by amoebae if you find yourself struggling with the mirror heights a lot. ❤It does mark the objects as CC so make sure to check the Custom Content tab when you build. 😊

I would love to see Deli do an elder LP and make a community home for them ... And with Growing Together she can make a club for them where they go on the elder walks and whtnot ... Her sim could be an elder or a "caretaker" YA sim who looks after them ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love the "spacious one bedroom apartment". Usually I'm so hesitant with matching the rugs to the flooring but it looks SO GOOD in that apartment! I'd move in there right now. I also like the first apartment of upstairs, probably because it's similar to the other one lol. I like the bedroom of my second pick better. But honestly, in reality the most likely one for me to move into is probably the last one. I don't know why but what i like in real life doesn't usually match with my favorite sims things! Love the contrast of the dark and lights with the relaxing greeny/blue for a bit of fun!
I would love you to build an apartment with a storyline in mind. Like a group of friends that live in one building and they all have very different interior design style and personality. I always find those fun.
I am absolutely loving these builds combined with the longer video times. Love coming home from a long day at work, getting into my PJs, sipping a tea under some blankets, and eating some toast with Deli on😊 Would love to see a british architecture-style apartment. So many victorian buildings here in London and interiors. Would love to see you tackle this!!
I struggle with that too. It could also help to copy builds from the gallery or RUclips because real floor plans don’t always work on the sims, at least not for me

I love everything except the exposed concrete wall. But we all have personal preferences and I respect that you and others like it. The only place I 100% wouldn't put it because of realism is in wet spaces (eg bathrooms, laundry and kitchen). Only reason why is that concrete is very porous and when is absorbs water it weakens it. Also because it is porous it stains easier. That said, if you like it, you do you boo 😉 . My favourite would be the final family apartment. The colours in it are life. Amazing work as always Deli! Your talent knows no bounds.
i can't decide, both the last two apartments are my favourite. in Germany ensuites are VERY rare. while i absolutely always love your builds, I would love to see you build a little more different again, use less of the usual packs (dream home decorator, etc), maybe even a challenge that you're not allowed to build with your 3 most used packs (or only allowed to use 1 item of your favourite packs) :)
it's so interesting to see how different countries do apartments and stuff. here in Germany it's actually more common for apartments to be completely empty so you can bring your personal furniture in the style you like best. i suppose it's cheaper for the landlords because for example if your oven breaks, you have to replace it yourself. at the same time, rent for places without included furniture is usually cheaper than furnished places. as for shared spaces, the only thing my neighbours and me share is the basement room where all our washing machines are and the attic/backyard where we can hang our clothes and now i wanna build that 😅
i would so love to see you do an LP following various households all living in the same apartment building. the drama you could create would be so fun! and with the nosy trait too, people sneaking into each others apartments to get dirt on eachother. scandal, affairs, secrets!! so much potential for drama

I also sometimes had to figure out the floor plans for hours to get the right one for me. I kinda like the process though, it feels like solving a puzzle in a way, it's frustrating but in a fun way!

My favourite is the single starter all in one "studio". But all are great. You are such an amazing builder! The only thing I don´t like is the ugly grey concrete wall. Thank you for the hint to place a table tennis in the shared space, I will do this in my own building.

This build is fantastic! I love the decoration that you’ve done in each unit and I’m a big fan of color themes. I tend to do them in my own builds as well as my CAS. I love the kitchens with the new home chef hustle items…they really did a nice job with that stuff pack. I am not a fan of concrete. We don’t see a lot of that where I live up in northern California because the temperatures are too cool. But I can see where in a hotter climate concrete would be a much more efficient material to use in buildings. I think that would be the only thing I would change in this building. I also like this style of video a lot deli! I appreciate that you speed build part of it and then get into the finer details when you’re decorating. Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. ❤❤❤

I feel like it depends on the family. I love making cinnamon rolls in a waffle maker. Then butter on top 🤤 You can do breakfast hash potatoes in them too, it’s fun to get creative!

I think the Sims team said that the waffles (and the Homechef Hustle kit in general) was inspired by Scandinavia, with the specific heartshaped waffles. I'm from Denmark, and my grandmother always made waffles when I was a kid, but for some reason not so much more. So yes I think these kinds of waffles is more scandinavian, but other than that it's the same as you describe: the majority of people don't have a machine for it, but ypu can def by one! Thanks for your videos and the way you let yourself shine though to us viewers
In Sweden everyone owns a waffle iron, and the waffles are always heart shaped. Idk if it’s an international thing, but we do have a specific day every year when everyone eats waffles 😁 they’re most commonly eaten with whipped cream and either strawberry or blueberry jam, but there are lots of variants, some are more dessert-y while others function as a proper meal.
i love these style of builds - the mixture of speed/“live” build is easy to watch especially for these big builds and my goldfish brain concentration! 🥲💚
Wouldn't live near traffic roads again, after been living near roads in cities... But these apartments seems alright o.o Only thing is... the space between the high road, trees, windowed terraces and such makes very good isolation for noises and helps with not alot of pollution and dust coming into the apartment itself... x3x;

24:59 My guess is that like in the US shows where they always make waffles are more the store bought waffles, and these waffle irons, like they said in the launch of the kitchen hustle pack is fully the Nordic thing, because I can’t say for all Nordic countries, but as a swede, the heart iron waffles are just the way of life 😸 they said the waffle iron was made as nostalgia for like Swedish/Nordic people on the sims team

Question to anyone who has the pack: can landlord's live in an apartment they own. Like if they owned a building could they have one themselves? I have a current legacy and one of my gens has an art shop but I kind of want her daughter to inherit the building and make it apartments

I’m an American and I have a mini waffle maker haha. I don’t think everyone has one. But I tend to make more food at home and it’s just more convenient than going out. The waffles are a bit smaller than the freezer waffles. But I can make all kinds of treats with it so it’s worth having.
I am making an apartment building like a duplex and to get to the apartment the hallways are on the side not between the apartments....but I like the way you did it all.
I always think about the practical things. And things like in case of a real world fire, how would they get out? Is this up to code (in my area)? Can't put a fire alarm too close to the stove or the HVAC control too close to the doors, windows, fireplace, stove, anything that affects temperatures. Sometimes I have to curb my silliness.

when i used cc and mods i always had this. it is a must for building with cc/mods.

You can do it!
Start by googling floor plans that also have a picture from the outside. That helps me a lot!
I struggle with that too. It could also help to copy builds from the gallery or RUclips because real floor plans don’t always work on the sims, at least not for me

I'm from Denmark, and my grandmother always made waffles when I was a kid, but for some reason not so much more. So yes I think these kinds of waffles is more scandinavian, but other than that it's the same as you describe: the majority of people don't have a machine for it, but ypu can def by one!

In Sweden everyone owns a waffle iron, and the waffles are always heart shaped. Idk if it’s an international thing, but we do have a specific day every year when everyone eats waffles 😁 they’re most commonly eaten with whipped cream and either strawberry or blueberry jam, but there are lots of variants, some are more dessert-y while others function as a proper meal.

Only thing is... the space between the high road, trees, windowed terraces and such makes very good isolation for noises and helps with not alot of pollution and dust coming into the apartment itself... x3x;

lol i am from the US and my fam does have a waffle maker, but we only really bring it out for holidays! my college also had tons of them and i’d have waffles at school a lot
24:59 My guess is that like in the US shows where they always make waffles are more the store bought waffles, and these waffle irons, like they said in the launch of the kitchen hustle pack is fully the Nordic thing, because I can’t say for all Nordic countries, but as a swede, the heart iron waffles are just the way of life 😸 they said the waffle iron was made as nostalgia for like Swedish/Nordic people on the sims team
I would love to see u build an apartment building where each apartment is designed for different households. like u have the starter, then maybe an elderly couple, a small family, an artist etc.

I love this. Even though I am not really into modern much (I guess I grew up in it, Scandinavia...) but this is just done absolutely brilliant. Do you work with design in your day-job? Or is this your day-job? I am from an older generation that never even thought about making money on line. Anyway, your building looks brilliant!

Yes! I have a legacy on the giant lot in windenburg and I can move my « spares » into houses on the lot to keep them together, it’s great!!

I’m an American and I have a mini waffle maker haha. I don’t think everyone has one. But I tend to make more food at home and it’s just more convenient than going out. The waffles are a bit smaller than the freezer waffles. But I can make all kinds of treats with it so it’s worth having.

TV and computer price overhaul would be amazing! I want my sims to buy a cheap laptop then regret it, just like their creator (me 😊)
I always think about the practical things. And things like in case of a real world fire, how would they get out? Is this up to code (in my area)? Can't put a fire alarm too close to the stove or the HVAC control too close to the doors, windows, fireplace, stove, anything that affects temperatures. Sometimes I have to curb my silliness.
