I would like to see the inverse of this challenge: start with a beautiful Sim and use increasingly weird-looking Sims to defile them until the offspring looks absolutely cursed.
Key to breed out the weird is find a sim with the opposite features. It the starting sims nose is too small, breed them with a sim with a larger nose. If the starting sim is too thin, breed them with a very curvy sim. Clare could have completed the challenge faster if she used someone like Selma (for her Bootylicious bod) or James (for his shoulders and maxed muscle's).
To be fair I feel like if she just created sims to be the exact opposite (and ugly in their own way) just to get normal body kinda defeats the purpose a tad because it’s almost making the simulation very unrealistic beyond how unrealistic it is already. Plus she’d probably spend even more time just creating opposite sims to breed out vlad’s traits than using sims she’s proud of and has made before.
@Kazwens the examples I gave were her own sims that she is proud of. I never meant for her to create all new sims. I meant for her to use existing sims that already have contrasting traits. The existing sims don't need exaggerated traits to breed out the weird. They just need something going on that is somewhat opposite to the "weird" sim.
At that point coral and minze only share 2% of the same dna (on top of the generations of children since adding coral to the breeding challenge) edit: a word that came off wrong
@@jaclynotoole445 Actually is even less, since Coral and Minze are 6 generations apart that makes their DNA 1.5625 % compatible, and with Erik is 9 generations so their DNA is 0.1953125 % compatible. Idk, at that point they are less related than the royal family
Honestly, I like the stronger features. A lot of player-made Sims all tend to look the same to me since everyone focuses on making them "perfect" and like models.
@@gummysnacksandknives9229 I just think Vlad looks too old for supposedly being a young adult, so I usually tweak him to look younger and a bit more filled out (as in a bit less skeletal), at least for my more realistic games I absolutely have games where I make everyone a hottie because I love the eye candy, though Edit: I do love stronger feature, though, sometimes I do random genetics to get more of them in my games One of my favorites are square jaws, which is something I almost never really see from creators like Claire

For gen 2 I was screaming for to pick plus size women and for gen 3 when she said ' pull in the big guns' i thought she was going for a very built man but nope .
literally what i was thinking even a slightly chubby sim wouldve helped. problem is i find she doesnt have as many sims that have heavier body types, many of her sims tend to be the "ideal" body type or close to it
@@Suncrower if you look at her other videos she actually has much more different shapes and shades of sims characters, she might change their face a lot but haven't seen her change their body shape a lot she just leaves it be unless it needs changing 🤷🏻♀️

Tried this myself. Turned out my favourite Sim is a literal cheat code! Single handedly eliminated everything Vlad's daughter inherited from her father, except the occult. I may even use their son, he ended up as a cutie.
Anyone else notice how Clare used the same hairs she used on Scarlet as a teen and child (Minze’s actual NSB child) with Mikaela, Minze’s Vlad child. I’m not sure if it was in purpose of a complete accident but it was super nostalgic anyhow
there was barely any change in the body type, i wonder what would’ve happened if she used any sims that were chubby or even just more curvy. i love all the sims she used, and while there is some diversity in he body shapes and muscle tone, most of them are definitely on the skinny side of the spectrum
Most of the sims you used were closer to the botttom end of the body fat & muscle sliders than the top so it's not surprising they didn't pull the sliders up much.
This makes me very worried, one of my sims had a baby with Vlaud and I hope he doesn't look too scary. Edit: He aged up. He definitely looks more like his father. However his nose, jaw, and eyebrows have softened. He kinda looks more like the dad from the live action Grinch.
Vlad is honestly so fun, I love playing with him and letting him do ordinary things like raising a child, knitting or doing yoga. It's just fun to watch him do ordinary things!
Recommendation: When going for a less slim body slider, choose a sim that has more muscle and then one with a wider body. I noticed that the Vlad part of being slim wouldn’t ever breed out because there were no larger sims to force it out.
I would love to see a case challenge in which you take a random personality trait, and make it as a sim. Use any and all stereotypes on evil (apparently evil sims are bald), or animal lover, or green thumb or what have they. Alternative version would be to make sims based on their aspirations.

I’ve noticed that when you create children in cas, the parent you are on when you clicked press play with genetics will be what you get occult wise. So if you’re had started on Vlad you probably would have had the vampire gene a bit longer.
I downloaded the Johnny Depp-ish Vlad from the gallery.. best investment so far. Also Clare, have you ever thought of breed-out the weird with only OG townies?

Claire, a lot of these comments have made me realize that you rarely make plus size sims (other than in og series but that was a long time ago) As a plus size fan of yours it would mean a lot if you show more body diversity and make/use more plus size sims. ❤
The reason Vlad's vampire form looks so different is because his vampire form is based off of Nosferatu, and his human form is based off of book Dracula

clare actully for occult sims the desicion if the trait goes to the child if based on (when you do it in case) which parent you put first so since you put blanca first the kid became human
The reason you lost the vampire trait in the first generation is when making a sim by genetics the sim that goes first, their occult will be the occult of the offspring. So since Blanca was put in the genetics thing first, the offspring was human.
I would love to see you do this again but using plus size sims and sims with more muscle tone to see if that helps with body type love when you do these challenges 🙂
I personally think if you had used bigger muscular sims instead of picking all thin sims, the body type might’ve changed. Out of all the sims you picked, only one of them wasn’t super thin already

Love this twist on the CAS challenge! I was able to change his body sliders right away in gen 1, but his features didn't disappear until gen 5. I used all my main characters for the challenges I'm currently playing.
About the genetics thing, one of my sims recently was born with red hair, which no one in his family tree had until six or so generations back! So I guess sims do carry recessive genes :) Edit: I guessed 7!

I got a sims family that have been going for about 7 generations now and they drastically changed from the original sim but you can still see the Asian traits in them so that’s cool in my opinion
Don't worry about playing with genes slowing your game down. I play on a console and I have no cc and when I play with genetics it's even slower . I have no idea why but I think it is certain packs that could slow it down.
For me, it's always the nose. I can always pick a Vladdy townie from a mile away. It's gonna take you more than 5 gens Clare 😅 Edit: I was right! Clare had to pull out all the hotties to offset Vladdy's genes.
The second I saw Minze's side profile, I knew the Vlad side profiles would be out since they were complete opposites, but a chubbier sim would've changed the body types
0:48 If I'm not mistaken Vlad's vampiric form looks like that because he's meant to be a reference to both Count Dracula (with Vlad's human form) and to The Master from Buffy The Vampire Slayer (with his Dark Form) who was the main big bad of season 1 way back in the nineties. He looks just like him with the super pale and unnatural skin tone, the bald head, the pointed ears, and the wrinkled and puckered face while wearing all black. He's even trying to turn everyone in town and make a strong vampiric family line just like the The Master. The Buffy vampires also had a vampire mode they switched into that gave them pronounced brow ridges, a puckered face, and unnatural colored eyes. I got super excited the first time I saw him because I remember sneaking to watch Buffy episodes way after my bedtime in the 90's and it made me super nostalgic.
idk how this works really so i don't know if the mods/cc are compatible with this feature but i think the traits that you have on your sim that are all cc wouldn't be registered in the genetic morph therefore would resort back to Vladislaus' genetics.

Children’s eyes are bigger in comparison to face/head size than adults because we are born with our eyes already basically fully grown.

Don't worry about playing with genes slowing your game down. I play on a console and I have no cc and when I play with genetics it's even slower . I have no idea why but I think it is certain packs that could slow it down.
For me, it's always the nose. I can always pick a Vladdy townie from a mile away. It's gonna take you more than 5 gens Clare 😅
Edit: I was right! Clare had to pull out all the hotties to offset Vladdy's genes.

The second I saw Minze's side profile, I knew the Vlad side profiles would be out since they were complete opposites, but a chubbier sim would've changed the body types

0:48 If I'm not mistaken Vlad's vampiric form looks like that because he's meant to be a reference to both Count Dracula (with Vlad's human form) and to The Master from Buffy The Vampire Slayer (with his Dark Form) who was the main big bad of season 1 way back in the nineties. He looks just like him with the super pale and unnatural skin tone, the bald head, the pointed ears, and the wrinkled and puckered face while wearing all black. He's even trying to turn everyone in town and make a strong vampiric family line just like the The Master. The Buffy vampires also had a vampire mode they switched into that gave them pronounced brow ridges, a puckered face, and unnatural colored eyes. I got super excited the first time I saw him because I remember sneaking to watch Buffy episodes way after my bedtime in the 90's and it made me super nostalgic.

idk how this works really so i don't know if the mods/cc are compatible with this feature but i think the traits that you have on your sim that are all cc wouldn't be registered in the genetic morph therefore would resort back to Vladislaus' genetics.
