You should be a voice-over for movie trailers. Sheesh. Your voice is Hella cool. I'd like to hear you say "In a world where..." 😄
I just LMAO. I'm still trying to figure out if I recognize you because I've been doing that impression for too many years now. It's just too funny for you to say that without even me trying to do that voice though. Lol
Great video, short, technical and straight to the point.
Damn glad we live in the age of the internet and RUclips, didn't know those ground adapter plug things even existed.
Thank you, Steve, I live in an apartment where electric charring is a challenge, my hope was I could utilize a portable battery, your instructions helped a lot, thank you.
Brotha Steve, cool video and tho with that grounding plug. Never knew that existed.
You are AWESOME! Not smart enough to figure this out myself. Ive been looking for something like this since I got my car in 2017. Have had to be towed 3 times because I got under 5 miles of range with no where to charge. Just ordered the neutral ground adapter and the Delta Pro. Game changer!

@@CBikeLondon Once it was my little brother who took it to the gym and he didnt check the range and while dropping his friends off at home after he realized it had 4 miles of range and I had to tow it.
Another time I was coming home from a work trip and headed to a Supercharger and I didnt realize I went 30 miles past the supercharger and had just under 30 miles of range left. I drove as close to the supercharger as I could without my battery dying and had it towed under 5 miles to the charger.
The very first time was actually way back in 2017 and I don't remember where I was coming from but I had 4 other people with me and it was winter and the battery drained WAYYYYYY faster than it ever had. Made it home but with under 5 miles of range, did not have a home charger other than 120v which does 3 miles of charger per hour at that time because I have a supercharger just 5 miles away and have free supercharging on that car. I had it towed to the supercharger just so I would be able to fully charge it and take the car to work in the AM and not have to worry about charging it in the morning before work.
I have been driving Teslas since 2015 and have acquired 3 since then. One is a 2015 model s p90d with 45k miles, other is a 2017 model s p100d with over 150k miles and the newest is a 2022 Model Y performance with 3k. The model Y is a little ugly in my opinion but its my favorite car to date. More than likely the last tesla I will buy though, dealing with the Idiots in the Service Centers in Michigan and Ohio has been the biggest pain in the ass for me. LOVE the cars unconditionally and would never buy another brand if only they could solve their idiotic Service center issues. As soon as Mercedes releases the EQS I will be ordering that. Want to stay electric as I love the simplicity and torque without the jerking of gears, but just cannot deal with problem after problem with Tesla and their budget service center mechanics
Wow, you got the early drop !
i tried this too but will again...looking for the future of charging from the delta
Thanks for the information
Great video
did you have to do anything special to get that 30a plug working? Testing it at my house now and it doesn't seem to want to give me any juice
Helpful thanks!
Thanks for sharing! I plugged in a 30a adaptor but the Tesla charger didn’t light up…no red/green light. Is there anything else needed to activate that? The 120v plug-in worked…at a very slow rate of 2mi/hr.
Nice video!
that is its speed 2M/ph. not bad for a 4 ton vehicle (battery) that is completely dead on the side of the road! Its about perspective
Maybe delve into 2 delta pro units that can combine to 240 volts add a few add on storage batteries and some solar panels
Most people could charge exclusively with the sun ?
Where i can find this little grounded plug? I just purchased similar one from Amazon ,seems doesn’t work at all!
Im using the Delta Pro to charge our Dacia Spring. Ich have the Solar panels (3x380 watt on our carport) pluged in while charging the car (Delta Pro is of course fully charged by the solar panel before charing the car ...) ... I can charge 11 % of the 26,8 kwh car battery ... somtimes even more, when the sun in shining an the solar panel charges the delta Pro with up to 1140 Watt while charging the car ... loading and charging in possible at the same time. I love it ;) ...
... Im thinking about buying an additional battery (or 2) wthat would add another 3,6kwh oder 7,2 kwh to the delta pro ... 10,8kwh in total would almost be half the battery power of the Dacia ... maybe its crazy, but it should work and it could power the car completly ... maybe i will decide for one more battery, 7,2 kwh is great already and i could charge the car completly in ~ 2/3 days ...
How long does that take?

This is so cool!!! A Delta Pro charging an electric car.
Been wondering if it was possible to charge an EV with portable solar energy for a while. Glad to see it's possible. The charge time is pretty daunting, but in an emergency, I'm not really sure I'd care about the time. Just like knowing I'll still be able to charge my car if/when the grid goes down one day.
Is there any way to actually ground the Ecoflow?
Does the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) feature work a single EcoFlow Delta PRO Unit independently? Or does it also require the use of the separate Smart Home Panel?
It has EPS (Emergency Power Supply) feature. It will switch on (once power is dropped) within 30ms. The Smart Home Panel isn't needed for this feature.
Where to buy the ground plug?
How many hours did it take to charge it ?
As this video shows it is possible to add charge to an EV from portable power units like the Delta Pro. For specific circumstances this might be useful. There are many videos and stories of EV drivers not quite making it to the next recharge station. So being able to add enough charge to go the last few miles to next charge could be a lifesaver. Is it worth the cost ? That depends on your individual circumstances. If you are already buying a portable power station for your house or camping for example, then buying one that can charge EV as well might be worth it.
what about the inverter noise??
What is that plug call and could you charge as you drive

I wonder if there is any risk of using that ground plug and using the adapter. And any practical to charge it daily. The delta pro ain’t cheap.
Question if you put two ecoflows in parrallel would you need a grounded plug for both if so i amagine charge time to be around 8hours?
Each delta ways 100lbs which will affect your range anyway.
What’s the ground adapter called I want to buy one
After charging for an hour you might get another 8 miles? You need an Inverter Generator to get further.
Steve: Thanks for posting. I'm interested in the EcoFlow Delta Pro, but for what is a more likely serious issue, and that is to run an HVAC furnace (figure 570 watts running plus there would be additional start-up watts for the blower capacitor).
But the issue/concern: It seems most late model furnaces won't accept a generator (gas) to run because of some grounding issue (sounds similar to the Tesla plug issue). Thus I was wondering, will the neutral-ground-bonding plug used with the EcoFlow Delta Pro solve the above issue with gas furnaces?
Any chance you can try this out and post a video? NOBODY seems to be posting a video about this for what is a very real concern during a frigid winter night. If it works, my plan would be charge up the Ecoflow in daytime via gas generator and then use the Ecoflow to quietly run the furnace overnight. Title it "Can an Ecoflow work running a gas furnace?" I'm sure it would get many hits.
Personally don't want to spend a bunch of money to find out it doesn't even work.
Thanks.
I haven't heard about any gas furnaces requiring a ground but the neutral ground bonding plug solves that problem for any device. You can also use a manual transfer switch and then it would be grounded.

Why doesn't the delta max need a ground?
Great Video! I was wondering if it’s possible to charge the delta pro with solar panels while charging the Tesla simultaneously?
Yes, it is! Delta supports pass through charging as long as the input isn't 240V.
You can do this with solar charging simultaneously . DO NOT DO THIS WHILE PLUGGED INTO THE GRID. I saw another review where the guy fried his Delta Pro’s AC input
Yes it can, just don't an on going anywhere for a few days.
how long does it take to charge an ev with the 110 plug? just like from the house?
Like 2 days
It's important to note the Delta Pro is a no compromise AC output unit in that you can truly draw the full 30 Amps (3600 Watts) from the TTL 30 Amp RV socket (ONLY) not 24 Amps instead as you mention. EcoFlow does not claim you can do the same from the four 120 Volt GFC sockets. EcoFlow is rather unclear about whether the 20 Amps Maximum draw is from (Each) of the four 120 Volt sockets, or from the four sockets (Collectively) ?
Can you charge EcoFlow Delta from tesla battery ? Given the battery sizes, using tesla battery to for example cook your meal would be practical and useful feature.
While people have confirmed it's possible, no Teslas support output from the high voltage battery. That is, until the Cybertruck.
After reading many reviews and watching a lot of videos, I chose this option for my first backup power station. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHypYDKHAN93Lp2RQpfvU_ksc70wJ00pt I was between this and a larger option that could power a wider range of items, but the price/size/capacity blend seemed right for this unit. Hasn't gotten a ton of use yet, but the build quality is solid and it charges fine via the Rockpals solar panel I purchased to pair with it. One thing to note is that the screen is optimized for a top down viewing angle, which makes sense, but this means it washes out at other angles - especially low angles. Not a huge deal, but perhaps a better option for the display could be used to provide wider viewing angles.
How many cm can this add to my car ? (Fiat 500e 2022)
How many miles/percent battery does this give you over how much time?
The miles/percentage and how long it takes depends on which battery size your Tesla has and at what rate you're charging it. You're essentially adding 3.6kWh to it. It could take anywhere from an hour to all day to discharge it. It might have 5 mi it might have 15 mi but that also depends on how you drive and other conditions. You can think of it like a 1 gallon gas can.
It seems to be saying that it will days for 45 hours. Shouldn’t they say minutes?
What would you call it? For gas it's called a jerry can. Maybe a volt can?
All Spark (Transformers)
So, carrying around an EchoFlow in the back of a Tesla is like carrying 3 quarts of gas in my pickup - but 100x more expensive. I suppose that if I had a Tesla, I would be more interested in using its 75kw to power my house in an emergency and skipping the EchoFlow altogether. (I do live in hurricane country.)
Right. I don't really plan on taking it on trips with me but knowing that in a power outage, I would still be able to charge my car from it is a great feature to have. If the power goes down, so do the gas stations as they require electricity to pump fuel.
I’m thinking about for an off grid site what’s a quick way to stand up charging for the Tesla, this with the 400 watt panel to combat phantom drain and maybe even add some miles back.
what's that big adaptor they called and what are the specifications?
TT-30 it's 120V at 30A and for RVs.
Hey I don't know if you'll get to see this message was wondering would it charge the tesla faster if u add an extra ecoflow delta pro battery?
An extra battery would only double the capacity but not affect the actual charging speed. However with two Delta pros and the double voltage hub you can double the charging speed.
@@Curb71 ok so 2 battery and the charger would increase the speed for sure. Would that double voltage hub by itself increase the speed to charge the vehicle?
So you telling that I need to buy an extended battery pack to charge my electric car when it runs out juice, like my cell phone ??

It’s one of those,
You can, but everything gets ware n tear.
Use for emergency situations.
Only use generators for that purpose for longevity.
So is there is any way to charge the tesla slow enough to get any gains while battery is solar charging? Or is this basically going to run of power too fast?
Sure. You can set the car to charge a slower fast as you want
On a very bright day with 1200 watts of solar panels connected to the delta pro, you will get 2-3 miles an hour charge at 8 amps.

How low can you drain the delta pro before it stops charging and what is the practical range you gain on your Tesla after it is charged with the delta pro? A mile? 5 miles? Just curious.
The big number "45" is how much time is left on the unit battery, the smaller number in the middle is the % of battery left on the unit.
Depending on model you will get around 250-300 watt hours per mile so 3-4 miles per 1000WH. Delta pro hold 3600WH but there is loss both from the inverter in the delta and the Tesla inverter. Maybe get 3KWH out of it =9-12 miles

Very interested as well, how many miles can it add?
A model 3 performance - about 10 miles. 😅
how much range does this add to your ... model Y is it?
It is a model Y. It adds 3.6kWh to my 75kWh battery pack. Pretty much like a gas can for emergencies during a power outage.
Like 12 miles or so
@@Curb71 it's actually perfect for my needs. I'd be using the Delta pro all the time for other things but when I need that emergency power for a vehicle that's a great thing to have.
It's probably not practical for what little range it adds. Still pretty cool though.
If you don't have a solar system in the house and don't use car every day, you could easily build a system with 4 x 350W solar panels and keep the car charged. 10h x 1400W would bring 14kWh per day. That's 28kWh of electricity every other day.
Definitely not, but the Delta Pro is pretty awesome of RV setups as it is (running lights, appliances, ACs) even when compared to a traditional battle born battery/inverter setup. Winnebago now makes a fully electric RV - so you might be able to charge your RV while boondocking w/ a solar setup + delta pro over the course of 5-6 days.
How many years will it take for you to recoup the money?
Dude, it's not all about money
@@Ted_adventurer A car is second most expensive purchase after a house. What are ypu talking about dude?
How much can it charge the car before the delta dies?
Well, if delta pro has 3,6kwh, and lets say its real capacity is 3,3kwh.. it will charge 3,3kwh (around 16km range if you calculate little higher like 200wh for tesla, maybe raining, cold weather etc) in tesla before its empty. If you mean cycle lifetime, its around 3500 cycles until it loses 20% cap. 6500 cycles around 50%, so it will be about 1,8kwh battery then. but if you charge and discharge that delta pro everyday 2 times, it will reach that 50% in 10 years.
what we need to actually see is how many miles per hour the Tesla charges! I am guessing around 3 MPH
Steve mentioned that using the 24-amp capacity, it would be 16 hours to get 50%. So, 3% per hour should yield 7-9mph increase in range. That's my top of the head math.
Highly impractical. Just as well use a level 2 connecting to the grid. Delta Pro is 6k and it wouldn’t be practical to use this daily. This won’t be my solution to free energy. Maybe use a more permanent battery to power the Tesla.
does it not damage your Delata pro?
Nope.
I want to do the opposite of this...charge a Delta using an EV car charging station.. what is needed to do this safely?? To understand this better.. I have an ICE engine RV and want to use an onboard power bank.. if there is a way to charge when solar is not enough this would highly useful. Charge the RV at same stations..
how much charge does it add to the car
1 Dp charge 5% in a hour
So how many miles can give?
Think of it as a small gas can
my a30A adaptor did not work at all
You need one specific for an electric vehicle, not a RV
Good for emergencies
How many miles of power can this give a Tesla in one shot? And how long does it take to charge?
The echoflow pro has a 3.6 kwh capacity but with AC losses lets call it 90% efficient that goes down to 3.24 kwh. A tesla model Y can get about 234 wh per mile so if we do 3240/234 that would give you about 13.85 miles of range after fully depleteing an echo flow. So it would be kinda like carrying a half gallon gas tank in a gas car.
@@zachsylvester309Thank you
Why?
Why what? The Delta Pro can charge an electric vehicle and be charged from an electric vehicle charging station.
There are issues you dont accept it does 2 miles per hour of charge
Use your head people...Bonding plug AMAZON!~
Expenssive fuel can with less Miles range 😳
Without an output transformer to provide galvanic isolation between that portable, high frequency, transformerless inverter's DC rail and its AC output, during a failure of this inverter's control circuitry, you are at high risk of passing high amperage DC current through to your EV's onboard charger. This can not only damage it, but will also void your EV's warranty. You may be able to charge your EV now, but one day, you're inverter will fail as they all do, and you will probably smoke your EV's charger. A much better way to charge your EV off grid, is to use a low frequency, transformer based inverter.
