i really enjoyed your teaching because i loved watching taiwanese drama n i find their language is very smooth not like others hokkien language they speak very rough type thank u pls teach more to those who want to learn taiwanese hokkien
我 - I 汝 - you 伊 - he, she 阮 - we (without you), us 恁 - you guys 𪜶 - they 汝欲去佗位? - Where are you going? 伊欲去佗位? - Where is he going? 阮欲去佗位? - Where are we going? 𪜶欲去佗位? - Where are they going? 今仔日 - today 今仔日阮欲去佗位? - Today, where are we going? 明仔載 - tomorrow 明仔載阮欲去佗位? - Tomorrow, where are we going?
Great , enjoying but have a suggestion- would be good to add text of the word or phrase in english alphbet. When taking notes and writing down this list to study and review later, so that one is able to pronouce the word our phrase your teaching later when reading the notes. thx
I'm from Taiwan and I want to be able to talk to my family in Taiwanese and Mandarin. I know basic phrases in Mandarin but I would like to increase my knowledge in Taiwanese. These helped a lot! Please include the characters too. Those help when I'm practicing Mandarin and when writing them down for memory.
I have Korean in me but I've recently started watching twainese shows and I love their language so I'm trying to learn how to speak Twainese. I love your videos their very helpful and easy to follow. Meagon
For those who see this cool. Taiwanese was very popular. Taiwan was once controlled by Japan but they had to surrender because of China during World War 2. Taiwan people were forced to speak Mandarin for those who weren't fluent in the language.
Wow awesome video. Where can I find a pronunciation guide for Taiwanese? Is it harder then mandarin? Also how can I learn about the history of the country and where did the language originate? Lastly, is it politically safe to go to Taiwan? I heard there are some tensions between Taiwan and China.
Thanks for this video! But eek, the title, Taiwanese is not a “dialect”. It was the majority language spoken in Taiwan and oppressed by the ROC into fading away. A tragedy to the mother LANGUAGE of majority of Taiwanese. Just that comment. But grateful to you for teaching and spreading the language! It is really hard to find materials!
i suggest you also learn POJ first before teaching Taiwanese so that the audience can catch the certain pronunciation. and there's two "we" in Taiwanese one is "阮"(gún), which appears in video and not including listeners another is "咱"(lán), which means "me and you" from a university student majoring in Taiwanese
The difference between "咱[lán]" & "阮[guán/gún]" is that: "咱[lán]" is we including the one I talk with. i.e. "咱[lán]" = You and I (with or without he/her/they) "阮[guán/gún]" is we excluding the one I talk with. i.e. "阮[guán/gún]" = He/her/they and I. "咱[lán]" has another advanced usage to indicate the one I am talking to in a pooite way. ex: (Someone calls to your home an ou are answering it.) You can say: "請問,咱欲佗位欲揣。" Which means "Excuse me, may I ask who is calling?" In this situation, "咱" means you, not we anymore.
There is no characters existing in Taiwanese. Last time I wrote with Chinese characters and there were people saying that I will confuse them (they thought I am pronouncing in Mandarin Chinese lol) Just trust your own ears and copy my pronunciation like how you learn your mother tongue, there is no confusion 😊

currently living in Taiwan and I love it! i'm glad I found your channel too!
I hope you'd also include Chinese Characters that represent Hokkien words. This will make remembering the words much easier.
我 - I
汝 - you
伊 - he, she
阮 - we (without you), us
恁 - you guys
𪜶 - they
汝欲去佗位? - Where are you going?
伊欲去佗位? - Where is he going?
阮欲去佗位? - Where are we going?
𪜶欲去佗位? - Where are they going?
今仔日 - today
今仔日阮欲去佗位? - Today, where are we going?
明仔載 - tomorrow
明仔載阮欲去佗位? - Tomorrow, where are we going?

多謝啊!我已經學國語學了5~6年,也在臺北住過將近兩年,但住在台灣時卻沒有機會學臺語。學臺語的網上資料太少了,謝謝您做出這些視頻啊

I need to learn I want to help my friend be able to talk to me easier 💯👋😎

😁😁
More Taiwanese please
I will try to make more :)
我們,應該使用 “咱” 才正確!
第一人稱複數代名詞。 「咱」(lán)包括聽話者,「阮」(guán)不包括聽話者。
How about a link to his channel?
I already tagged their channels on RUclips. If you don’t know where to look at you can just type their name to search ☺️
Thanks for this video!
