    Loving the content! Really helping me to understand the program. Searching high and low for this answer, when you chamfer or fillet and edge is there a way to limit the result to surrounding edges or faces on your model? An example would be to take a cube and chamfer the left and right top edges first, then take either the top front or back edge and chamfer/fillet that edge and have it match exactly the previous chamfer/fillets. I keep having the eyeball the results and I would think there has to be a way to easily match the edges perfectly. Thanks again for the content!

    Part of the 'fun' of seeing all the ways to solve similar issues (if the different approaches give the same or close result), is when you realize that huh, my expectation of what a really complex curve set looks like, and what it does look like... which one of us is right? Me or the app????

    I've been using this program a while now, you just helped me learn so many features I either didn't realize, or have been doing a more difficult and tedious way.
    Also I'll miss your original logo, it was very clever and fit perfectly with the channel name FWIW. I am however glad you moved on from the high-pitch sonar ping noise at the start of the video.

    • @Pixelfondue
      @Pixelfondue  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah, the ping noise was horrible. Now there's a pleasant 'meow' It's been quite a few years, so moving on to something different. Glad you liked the original. I think this will grow on people.

      from the solid duplicate the edge as a curve, use pipe and make it a solid then subtract

    How good is it for say replacing a more traditional CAD program like say Fusion 360? Can you make accurate models with it that can print well/be turned into parts?

    Question/ Floyd -I'm hearing that Modo will soon not be as important as it us to be. I did not want to ask this because I'm a Modo user as well. After Brad Pebbler somehow disappeared everything kinda stalled. Any insight on what's going on with Modo these days?

    • @Pixelfondue
      @Pixelfondue  9 месяцев назад +3

      Well, I'm not Floyd (or William, I'm Greg - the guy who does the LONG videos on PF). I think Modo is in a good place and a bad place. For the 'Good' they have a really committed team in place and for the first time since Brad left a product manager who knows the program and is doing the right thing (Greg Brown). They're putting a huge amount of effort into updating Modo, making it faster, updating the UI and integrating new tech like Hydra. On the downside it's still owned by Foundry. Foundry, despite it's success with Nuke has not been a good match for Modo and I just with they would sell it to somebody who cared more. Modo is such a great and unique program. We will be doing a LOT to make Modo a good partner for Plasticity in the upcoming months.
