How many engineers are screaming now at the monitor: "IT SHOULDN'T BE THAT EASY!!!!" Honestly it looks like the perfect tool for reverse engineering 3D scans. It really is CAD for artists, isn't it? Hmmmm might give it a try when my 3D scanner arrives.
Hello, I do everything according to the instructions, but smoothing corners does not work when I select all the edges. I repeated everything as in the video. The yellow circle for rounding corners does not appear. What could be the problem? 2:41
@@Pixelfondue Thanks. I was asking in comparison to Fusion 360 which has T-Splines which is Sub-D. So it would seem if I switch from Fusion 360 to Plasticity I lose parametric and Sub-D. To me that is a lot to lose. Just saying. again, thanks for the reply.
idk if it's just me, but the "impossible curve" at 17:01 didn't have continuous shading. There's a "bump" where the edges are from the "isoparam tool". Anyone else have this issue?
Is there any way to see the points of the surface? In order to manipulate it further? (Like the vertices on subdivision modeling, but also like the points on the surface at NURBS modeling)
Oh no! A duplicate! 😅 Gear B and exercise 56 are the same. Anyway, great tutorials, it shows me that there is no single way to a solution, there are many. So many small ideas that can help a workflow
Hey @@Pixelfondue! Could you make a video about the "Sweep tool", the second option when you press "F" in the search bar. Its about sweeping a solid I think and i'm having a bit of a struggle.
@@albertoperezmartinez4050 Nick the dev said it should have been removed... its was an experimental feature for simulating the path of a spinning tool, like cam / cnc
one of the best plasticity tutorials I've seen. The form.
Happy to hear. Be sure to check out the others in the series
Half Rhino3D half Blender. A great tool and a great demo. Thx for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
add fillets to all edges and you're guddagoww
love that it just works!
All set! Thanks!
Excellent!

I agree that its CAD for artists... I powerful easy to use program... glad I have it in my toolkit.
Great exercices to practice the basics daily, thanks a hundred time for your work sir !
Glad you like them! More to follow!
@@Pixelfondue You're the chief !
This is content gold :)
yes!! finally all in a bundle. I guess this means I will do one or the other a second time.. 😮
Good idea!
I really love this shot Exercises, thanks
Happy to hear!
The curves don't adjust the loft. I tried many times, its a just straight tubuklar shape.
Feel free to share an example file on the DIscord channel
at 18:03 you say extrude the bottom face and flare it out, how do you flare it out? havent found what to press to achieve that.
The white ring handle
14:28 how do I get these guidelines to show up?
With the SHift Key
This is the best tutorial I seen! He make things so easy! Other RUclipsrs make things so hard

can you share file that isnt working?
I did it, it turns out that sometimes the yellow corner rounding circle does not appear, and you need to press B

@@tishhhenko good to hear
Same issue, it works by pressing B but Plasticity really struggles to do the fillet for this object it seems
How to Sub-D modeling.
No SubD in Plasticity. I'd use Modo for that

what the heck is a square curve
A curve in the shape of a square
good modeling skills! look forward to see somebody taking Plasticity onto @TooTallToby's CAD battles
Thanks!
I was thinking the same thing....
18:07 how did u flare it out
With the Scale Handle (White Ring)
These are dynamite, well done Floyd! You've definitely sold me on Plasticity!
(PS are all puppets this good at 3D??)
Yes, absolutely :)
Why is William always so Cool ?!
17:06 cool
Thanks!
thats so dope, tha i you💜💜💜
Thanks!
I will be buying this and coming here to learn!!! How does it export to MODO or LW?

Ah, I see I didn't have them marked as G1 for continuity. Still learning these little quirks!
Glad you got it working.
А где здесь моделинг? )))
Dont understand the question.
Than you bro
Welcome
Can one get work from home if I learn all this?? :/
Alot of 3d artists work from home. My entire team works from home.
Thanks for the extremely useful tutorial!
You're very welcome!
Very Nice!! :)
Thank you! Cheers!
Is it easy application
I think its easy but its all relative. I suggest giving it a go.

You cant edit on a vert level for solids as you would in a traditional 3d app such as Maya or Modo.
@@Pixelfondue o rhinoceros acho que faz tudo isso mais oque o maia e modo fazem . ou nao ?

Whoops, thanks for the catch.
Has Plasticity added the ability to scale/ change size of an object by units? ie. cm/inches etc. I really hope they add that soon
Its still the same that the components dont remain live
