The only issue I have with the GX is the lack of 7 to 8 seats, particularly for the hybrid which is the one I checking for no options for red seats. I would probably just do a OEM Red seats that’s high end ventilated leather. Hopefully doing that doesn’t affect the warranty since all it is just you changing interiors and not touching the engine or or anything like that.
Thanks Kirk! Like many, I've been waiting for the GX update and Lexus didn't disappoint. I can't wait to see the hybrid and then I will probably determine which model, engine and trim to buy.

NEW Gx Is a huge success and excellent rival for the discover defender and g class . Obviously like in every lexus video there will be some haters.

Not a fan of the luxury trim and the 22" wheels. The overland looks better, maybe it's the chunky tires or the two tone paint scheme.

Outside of Interior quality, but not tech, I wonder why you'd get an LX600 now. The 600 has less leg room in the 2nd room. And the GX is the same size as the old 200 series and looks better than the LX.
Just me, I think this version is a big improvement. Also, I think that the grill on the old version was the ugliest part of it, so nice to see that Lexus changed it
If I order the premium or plus. Will I save money ordering the second row captain chairs with no third row?

Depends on how much you can afford for how old one is. Look at current used GX prices to get an idea. They barely depreciate, especially the LX.
How do you like the steering & feel compared to the Sequoia? Hoping it’s a tighter, stiffer feel & handling

Any idea what the lease prices will start out at? I have a 2022 nori green BL and love it. Pay 980 right now but am fearful new pricing will be closer to 1100-1200 for the new models. If it’s anything like the RX ( leases upwards of 1300) I will have to look elsewhere. Reliability and longevity don’t matter too much to someone whom is leasing so I am afraid Lexus will soon price out some people and they will look elsewhere.

Hi Kirk-Do you find that the new GX is as smooth ofna ride as the prior GX? When shopping for SUVs recently I found the new gen Sequoia had a harsher ride than the prior Gen Sequoia and I am hoping Toyota did not make the same mistake with the GX.
There's a reason why the old 1 road more like a boat but that's a good thing plaushness. The new 1 handles more confidently most likely .
Been hearing that the lux version with the 22 inch wheels, the ride is on the stiff side. Also hearing the overtrail actually ride softer- sounds like even if you never take it off road the overtrail may be the one to go for.
You cannot get a digital rear view on that Over Trail plus which blows my mind like really Lexus ?

I saw another review of the 550 Luxury+ and that reviewer explained that the 550 Luxury has a pano roof that opens. The 550 Luxury + has a pano roof that’s electrochromic that doesn’t not open

I thought all the press material was saying 8000 lbs towing. And less for the luxury trim? But you’ve mentioned 9000 lbs a few times on videos now.

Seems like conflicting info on the “great handling” since only the Overtrail models get e-KDSS? The outgoing GX didn’t feel like you were gonna flip over because all trims had KDSS and stayed flat thru curves.
I love it the only thing that’s disappointing is Lexus giving it such narrow tires. Those things look rinky-dink. C’mon Lexus

I can see this being cross shop with mdx and gv80 because it has a tt6
and also other full-size SUVs such as those from Infinity and BMW according to their comments
The Gx is a defender and discovery rival .not a gv80 or mdx rival . Lexus TX is the gv80 and mdx rival . Lexus LX600 IS THE INFINITI QX80 RIVAL

@@huanronghu44321. Grand cherokee is not a luxury suv and land cruiser the same case so no one will ever cross shop those against a gx. 2. Tx is a gv80 mdx rival 3. Its the lx that rivals the gls x7 or whatever doa qx80. So are you ok
@@MyLIFEISLEGENDARY836 no ur wrong on the TX side of things and the GX competes with other vehicles as well even if they aren't off roader SUVs or they are not luxurious. the TX is bigger than everything else in its class (except the upcoming redesigned Acadia). So people are right to compare and crossshop it to an x7, GLS, grand wagoneer, escalade, navigator, etc. its just missing features to match them, but its going to be at least 20K cheaper than the full size options. Don't mention the LX, its not up to date like the GX is.
Noone will take one of these off roading, noone that buys these know what locking diff is. These are built and sold to upper end families as grocery vehicles

you guys discuss the grill, but what about the overall size vs the old gx460? the size was it's beauty. this thing is as big as the old LC200! for off roading this is not good. 3-4" longer and 2" wider is a big deal! so is it's weight! that ectra 50 HP is actually 35 less HP than the old 200...lotta hype for a new 200 series.
Yet there is more torque in this than the LC200.

Why aren't you mentioning that gx550 has more body roll because kdss is no longer available except for overtrail plus. Kdss is what made gx460 special and made gx460 corner flat without excessive body roll. This is huge and although many youtubers are mentioning that gx550 has body roll and they are not that impressed, no one is mentioning the cause, which is the lack of kdss. Did Lexus think we are stupid and they are cheapening out?
This is more a 4runner upgrade than a GX 460 upgrade
I´m sure that the GX is a good Car but for me the Car looks not like a Luxury Brand Car it looks more like a not Luxury Car like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai or Kia.
I think the entire fleet design language rear ends are hideous, looks like a cheap Lincoln. I don't know what their designers are doing, but it's a disaster. The brand has lost the plot.
Yep we like our 2023 design much better and my interior is definitely nicer for the price point.

Don't think it is hideous, just not gorgeous; side profile is Bronco; front end is good but a buddy of mine said it reminded him of a Cadillac.

Not gonna buy this. I would rather stick to both GX470 & GX460 with the V8s. This is a joke for sure cos with V8 engines, I could adjust and lift everything to suit for my off-road trails.

Do these car reviewers take a minute to think? Surprising that they could not figure out why it was not close to the 6.5 sec as stated by Lexus, yikes. His excuse for the subpar 0 to 60 was "the road conditions," lol
