    I love how Lexus is keeping real buttons and real handles. People don’t want every configurable aspect of their vehicle to be sloppily shoved into an iPad bolted to the dash. People want real buttons and real dials. Excellent work Lexus

    Hate to get all practical, but this is the Defender for those who don't enjoy visiting the dealership on a regular basis. Built in Japan by one their best lines, it's really the only first year model I'd consider buying. The only problem is that they won't be able to build enough o keep up with demand, and the hybrid version won't be available until at least 2025.

      The hybrid won't sell well anyways based on how their other hybrids on this platform are doing. The battery placements are total afterthoughts and they mutilate the cargo space. The sequoia I'd in deep trouble if they don't make a non hybrid version of it soon

    I know you guys had the option to chose which trim you wanted to feature on the channel and I commend you for choosing the premium + which will account for more than 60% of the market of the new GX and passed on the overtrail which less than 1% of them will actually see a trail. This is the reason why I respect your opinions.

    I just finished watching your 2023 GX review where you lauded the fact that the vehicle was a "dinosaur", but perfect because it will just last forever without worrying about the headaches of dealing with twin-turbos, electronics out the ying-yang, etc. Now, you're lauding _this vehicle_ which IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what you lauded last review. I know I'm not the brightest bulb, but I just can't keep up. I guess I should not have watched the videos back-to back! Granted, this new vehicle appears stellar and is likely "better" than the prior generation in many ways. I guess it remains to be seen if the longevity of this new design will be as well reviewed 20 years from now, as you essentially did with the prior generation GX review.

      The third row of these smaller three-row SUVs are heavily used and sought after in other markets. They are going to sell a variation of this as the Land Cruiser Prado with three rows in other global markets. When visiting the Philippines, my family at one point had 10 people in my grandfather's Mitsubishi Pajero Fieldmaster (an updated version of the 1990s Montero we had in North America). That was a much smaller vehicle. Although it was tight, we fit (albeit without seatbelts).

    I owned a 2007 GX470…best vehicle I have ever owned. I bought it used with over 140K and it drove like brand new. Maintenance is stupid expensive, but it was relatively easy enough to work on ( I do ALL my own maintenance and repairs ). I had 3 vehicles when I owned my GX and it was my go-to daily driver. I would still own it had I not got rear ended in it. It took a massive hit and was still drivable, it was totaled but I thought it was very impressive how well it took the hit.
    I have not liked the body style of the GX since 09 until now. I will DEFINITELY get year 2 of this new GX. I LOVE IT!!!

    I think this will sell well, especially the Overtrail+ trim. I hope this translates to the LX600 getting a mid cycle refresh, in which they bring back the split tailgate and add the Overtrail trim.

    • @styledliving
      @styledliving Год назад

      split tailgate omission is a huge mistake on the initial release
      toyota is having problems trying to figure out where to put the hybrid battery. if we bring back the 80 series dual swingout tailgates, we could mount the spare on the rear and also put the battery (or an aux tank) underneath the trunk, or even have a decent footwell for 3rd row passengers.
