    I love how Lexus is keeping real buttons and real handles. People don’t want every configurable aspect of their vehicle to be sloppily shoved into an iPad bolted to the dash. People want real buttons and real dials. Excellent work Lexus

      No offense, but this is a bit ignorant to say. It's like telling a photographer "man, your camera must be amazing because your photos are fantastic!". I just finished watching your 2023 GX review where you lauded the fact that the vehicle was a "dinosaur", but perfect because it will just last forever without worrying about the headaches of dealing with twin-turbos, electronics out the ying-yang, etc. Now, you're lauding _this vehicle_ which IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what you lauded last review. I know I'm not the brightest bulb, but I just can't keep up. I guess I should not have watched the videos back-to back! Granted, this new vehicle appears stellar and is likely "better" than the prior generation in many ways. I guess it remains to be seen if the longevity of this new design will be as well reviewed 20 years from now, as you essentially did with the prior generation GX review.

    I owned a 2007 GX470…best vehicle I have ever owned. I bought it used with over 140K and it drove like brand new. Maintenance is stupid expensive, but it was relatively easy enough to work on ( I do ALL my own maintenance and repairs ). I had 3 vehicles when I owned my GX and it was my go-to daily driver. I would still own it had I not got rear ended in it. It took a massive hit and was still drivable, it was totaled but I thought it was very impressive how well it took the hit.

    "Sit Up Driver's Face Not Detected"
    It's still a mystery why Toyota thinks they need to message every little thing to the driver through the instrument cluster like that. It could be an icon or lamp, but instead they change out the UI to tell you to sit up or that cruise control is active or seatbelts aren't engaged.
    Maybe one day they'll stop having their lawyers design the UI.

    • @styledliving
      @styledliving 7 месяцев назад

      split tailgate omission is a huge mistake on the initial release
      toyota is having problems trying to figure out where to put the hybrid battery. if we bring back the 80 series dual swingout tailgates, we could mount the spare on the rear and also put the battery (or an aux tank) underneath the trunk, or even have a decent footwell for 3rd row passengers.
