- This black kitchen has been a long time coming and I am so excited to finally be able to show it off! Using black cabinets in a kitchen is quite rare but I think it turned out fantastic! This renovation process has taken a bit longer than expected but it takes a lot of planning, forethought, patience, and hard work. It all pays off in the end! Let me know what you think of kitchen!

I like the look of spiral staircases, but they're not really practical so redoing them was probably the right call. I really like the squished honeycomb shape of the backsplash. I don't think I would've been daring enough to go for mirrored tiles but the final product looks really good. I adore gold and I'd choose it over silver any day so I think it's great that the appliance manufacturer gave you the option to switch all the hardware. The seats you paired with the kitchen island are great too.

Beautiful! For practical purposes, working at the sink, the cabinets are in your face … big no, no. Better in the island (more plumbing involved, but worth the extra pain and $$$). Love the backsplash.
Thanks for the feedback! We value the extra storage above the sink and have not had any issues while using the sink. We also preferred a big island with a continuous countertop. We also are in love with the backsplash!

Could have integrated a bit of the window into the backsplash.
It’s behind one of the cabinets actually so it would have been pretty challenging. Thought it was easier to just cover it up
You covered the window on the inside did you cover the window on the outside ??? Another great remodel.... And does the home have a pantry ???
I left the window untouched on the outside. I just painted a sheet of plywood black and put it in the inside so it just looks like an empty room from the outside. Too much work and money to completely remove it. And it does have a cabinet that acts as a pantry with pull out drawers and what not. It’s the big cabinet on the stair landing. Thanks for watching!
