I greatly appreciate the in depth content you put out. Most rc channels do a A to B instruction and you do a A-Z and explain it in great detail. Very informative and helpful. I like to setup my rc cars 100% spot on and you make that possible. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you so much for video. I applied your methods for my stampede. And couldn't be happier with the results. Know your still making a impact in 2024!
Hey T .... I gotta tell ya ... I had my first crash w my E-Revo 2.0 and I toasted my R front to toe link so I watched your video and you made life easy for me being that I’m kinda new to this level of the hobby ...Bravo!! once again Bro ...your expertise is so spot on ...again .. thank you very very much ...as you say ..... “peace out !!”
Heh heh ... I came up with a similar solution, cutting squares! I just disconnected the motor cables so I wouldn't have a flying quad saw in my kitchen with the kids (and my face) around. I did power up the car and transmitter so the servos would hold the steering centered. I used a cheap angle finder from harbor freight for camber. I measured toe with a set of spring calipers, first from the chassis to each wheel to make sure things were symmetrical, then I measured total toe angles. As I made adjustments, I measured back and forth, maintaining perfect symmetry as well as the correct total toe angle. I guess this is all a bit overkill for a basher, but it drives me nuts to see the steering trim knob even a little bit off center just to make the vehicle go straight.
It's about I thought I was the only one that knew how to work that I think it's the most Involve suspension you'd probly ever work on on RC Not only that you don't have your movement like you were saying That's howl you break your Servo overheat Them right on bro love video everything hes saying to the T very important
to simply avoid hitting your throttle and not spinning the wheel is take out/unplug the #2 connector from the receiver. ALL SAFE to turn on the car now because you do not have throttle enable on the remote control. you can now set the steering free of any unsafe wheel spin or accidental throttle pull while having on those nice alignment custom made wheels.
Very nice video very in depth from what it says in the owners manual for the e revo 2.0 1deg neg camber all 4 sides i try to have as close as possible to that cause im a nut job lol
Thanks for such an informative video it's actually more than anything inspiring. I know this is a random question and you probably won't see it, but I also want to do some circle track racing. Any tips on good ways to adjust suspension for those? I'm starting with what's called the mud boss class with the slash but this helps me work on my E-Revo as well. So thank you so much
Thank you. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I would lower the ride height to its lowest position. Then use 30 - 40w shock oil for a plush ride, and medium spring in the front so you have control in the corners and your nose doesn't dive down so much in the corners. And I would use 40 - 50w shock oil in the rear along with stiffer springs so the rear end doesn't squat under acceleration so that you get more power to the ground and less squat. Hope that helps you. And AVC or TSM could be a great advantage if it's dialed in right!🤙
Awesome! i have not had correct Toe in or Camber since i upgraded my servos. Also one of my servos does not seem to rotate fully, even when it is not hooked up. did i by a bad one?
What pinion/spur are you running? I notice you're using the spacer. New to the RC world. My E-Revo 2.0 has the 20/46 but won't slot into the spacer. To tight.
my revo came out of the box with the rear wheels toed in significantly. my friend’s is the same way. seems weird when the manual says the front should be 0 and rear towed in 1 degree
If your just bashing it really doesn't matter to much. But if your wanting it for racing or just super straight it's all up to you and your perfered handling. 🤟
UPGRADED RC yeah even for bashing though its nice when it rolls straight. and im always getting the motor hot pretty quickly so getting rid of any extra resistance is a good thing. i just eye ball align it every now and then
It depends on what kind of tires, wheels, control arms, and everthing else. Besides all these parts ware out, so it is a constant adjustment to make it right. There is no number of turns out that I could give you and it be right.
Sure, this only works for the e revo 2.0 with stock parts. 6" x 6" square. A 1/2" hole in the middle. And a 1/4" hole top and bottom of that hole 1" above center hole and 1" below center hole. 🤟
Hey man goodnight I just want to ask you a quick question can opinion 22 and a spa 46 to fit on a E-Revo 2.0 on less you take out the the a b and c motor mount
Yes, you will need to remove the fixed gear adapter to get that gear ratio to work. I would also install a 4mm washer on the screw in place of the adapter. if you haven't watched it yet, watch my video on gear mesh. !
A lot of this could be prevented if Traxxas would give you a manual with your car giving you possible vehicle malfunctions but no you don’t find that out till your car fucks up and then you’re looking for that information that you can’t find it in the literature that came with your vehicle so then you go to the web and then you come to RUclips and there’s 10 million videos of not the right shit everyone does it like you already know what the fuck you’re doing or they make a video as though you have time to make templates and go buy tools just to figure out the camber in tow for the alignment of your vehicle and all of this could’ve been Slightly eliminated if some dickhead would have added instructions with your car but nope nobody wanted to do that they just wanted to give you a parts list for the shifts you’re gonna have to replace second time you drive it throw it in the freaking trash if I hadn’t spent so much money on it I would take it out in the yard done 5 gallons of gas on it and light it on fire
That pivet ball adjustment instruction was worthless. It would help to show how far in or out should the ball shadt be in the arm ? Even on all four we know but how much should we go in or out .??
just take the power connections OFF the motor. This is way overkill. I ended up doing this but i already had it close enough doing this with some tape on my work bench and a gauge and a square. i was off .5* on each corner.. for a basher that i take up to 60mph... ITS FINE.. this is really extreem
Why worry about toe amd camber for a basher? I do it for my race cars but i need them to handle great. Jumping ramps or curbs and running in a field u dont need to do all that stuff. I dont do this for my rustler and slashes. Erevo is just a basher
I understand and agree with u. The e revo is just a basher, adjustments don't have near the impact as a race car or something ment for close course competition, when subscribers ask how to adj. the e revo i had to respond. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Not everybody is a keg basher like you don't knock the knowledge dude. He is a perfectionist and is showing how to do it properly for us enthusiasts that actually care. Go bash
Yep, just like the real thing. But, think about it. Your running a 1/10th scale car at 50mph which is really 500mph for that car and jumping 20 feet in the air which is really 200 feet at scale. So ya, these cars need a lot of maintaintance to keep them in good shape lol.
3 minutes in to your 18 minute video and I’m convinced I need to subscribe. Excellent presentation, thank you!
Thank you

Fantastic instructional video! Clear, informative and interesting. Many thanks!
Use a servo checker to center steering, that way no power is to the drive train 😎🇺🇸 ( love the plexiglass idea, I will be using it ! ) 👍
Great idea!
Great video man. Actually informative for real people who already know a little
I appreciate that!

Old video, but really clear instructions. Thank you.
2 years ain't old and wtf cares if its old...
Very informative video, thank you!
Great great video, thanks!!
Awesome video. Hey, why are the battery covers off?
Guess I just hadn't put them on yet. This video was at the end of a long rebuild of everything lol!
Great detailed video, one question though. Shouldn't you have the batteries in (disconnected) to get a true ride level before adjusting everything?
Yes, it would be more accurate. I get so many people telling me it's just a basher. Not necessary, but that would be correct.
Awesome info, thank you!
Thanks for posting! Really explained a lot!
🔆⚡Brilliant! Thanks for taking the time to share 👍 Subbed!

You need the total weight in car battery's ,& body to get true settings, camber angle changes as ride hight changes

I made it custom fir the e revo!.
So how many turns out do you do on bottom to get the correct number?
There is no correct number, it's about what you want it to be set up like.
@@upgradedrc3697 so how many turns out for the front and how many for the rear? I have no tools... What's yours set up at? I trust ya lol

No, lol. It's a piece of Hickory hard wood flooring.
Hello nive Video thanks. can you give me the dimensions of the plates? With a dimension drawing of the holes....

Yes you can, mine are so tight I do more damage to the car and myself that I rather not lol!👍
Can you provide a link for the blue jc concepts angle finder?
traxxas calls for the horn on the servos to be at 7* back. NOT "90* to the frame

The summit works the same way
You cant measurement front toe like that beauce you use rear wheel for square but your back wheel got toe too so its not straight.
Ya, but it's a basher so the first jump or wreck and it's all off again anyway. So I it's pretty close for what we're trying to do.
Hi will this work with 1/10 summit? bcoz that mf is a little taller and plushier..
It's kinda the same concept
Lol let my car on during the whole alignment
I mean a 20t
