So much information in this vid. EVERYONE tuning an RC needs to watch (and rewatch) this one. I am an ASE master certified tech and still took much away from this video. My ERevo2 has never handled better.
I've had my Revo for about 3 weeks and love it. I've gotten the new off it and ready to upgrade it and this video hit the spot. Thank you so much for doing it. Next, the 2nd part
I just got my erevo last week, love it so far. Looking forward to bashing tomorrow with my maxx also. Thanks for the knowledgeable video on suspension, it will help me tweak my erevo! I like trails and corners better than big air jumps personally.
Great video! Now i can finally set up the suspension of my 1 16 summit properly. You gave me so much information i couldnt find anywhere else on the internet
It’s great you explain in detail unlike some of these guys appreciate it I wish I would’ve watched your video sooner on the A arm replacement because I took a little bit more apart than I actually needed too.
Just got an E Revo and was trying to get a better understanding of it and man you nailed everything I was wondering about. So thanks for making vids like this and keep up the good work, love the vid!!
Enjoy your videos. New to the hobby. Could you do a short video on the stand you built. It looks sturdy and smooth. The one I purchased is flimsy and not too stable.
Thanks I did get new camera and 3 new mics. Your watching an old video. Here is the video where i show my new equipment and some bumpers you might like.
You forgot to talk about bump steer adjustments with the lil different height captured ball stud things at end of pushrod links and the wheelbase adjustment
Are you in the Palm Springs, Ca area ? I see your video says whitewater . I'm in palm springs myself. Just wanted to know if you had any good bash spots you might know of or like to use. Thanks for the video great info , great work.
Your videos are great man but you really need to get a better mic. I really appreciate the work you put in. It's really nicely presented. Keep up The Good work
Just got my revo the other day.. knowing self right was a bad idea, I used it and blew my spur gear. I’ve only ran 2 batteries 😅. So to avoid damage while I wait for my metal spur gear what other should I do to my shocks to make them more durable? I hear people have problems with the shock pistons pulling out or something? Maybe it was the shock caps themselves. Any help would be appreciated (:
Metal spur gears are bad. If something binds up or locks up the drive line or differential, then you want your plastic spur gear to stripout or break first. Reason why, it is way cheaper and easier to replace the spur gear than any other. Differential parts. The spur is designed to take all the abuse. Leave it plastic. Just make sure it's meshed correctly tothe pinnion. I have great video on how to do this.
you said twice that increasing the preload would cause damage. what do you mean by that? and what does traxxas mean when they say preload should be 1/3 of suspension travel? is that 1/3 of the adjustment threads? if not then how do you measure 1/3?
If you increase your preload nut too much it will ruin your springs. If you want more compression the increase the spring rate or go to thicker oil. And when your car is sitting atrest with batteries and cover on your sag or preload should be 1/3 of your total suspension travel up and down.
UPGRADED RC thanks for the reply. so when you say it will cause damage and ruin the springs you just mean that it will wear out the springs faster? i cant see it doing damage to anything else
Hey bud. Love your videos. Good content. Your audio was unusually bad in this one. And don't mean to be mean, but bro, you gotta wash that truck mate. There's no good reason why an enthusiast wouldn't keep his truck clean.
There is a lot to say about suspension. The weather is a big deal on shock oil, but heavy springs for jumping (purple), have you watched my video on suspension? Here is the link.
If your in an area where you see 70-100 degrees, I like 70w shock oil all the way around with purple heavy springs all the way around, stock #2 piston, and 1/3rd Sag on the preload sitting on Duratrac sixpack tires for lots of cushin. In it is colder adjust your oil weight down accordingly. Hope this helps you some!😎🤙👍
I would like to test all the popular ones on a video soon. But, i'm running the 3.9 dura trac six packs on mine. Great for jumping, but balloons out a lot. I hear the badlands and trenchers are pretty good.
Controlling rebound dampening with thicker oil. Hmmm someone needs to build shocks with rebound adjustment knob. But maybe that’s overkill for an rc truck!!
Rpm use to make a 2 stage piston that was reversible so you could have strong compression with little rebound or little compression with strong rebound. They worked great in my slash. I ran 70wt oil and the shocks would drop down like stock but absorb whoops at speed like a champ.
Dude I have tried to watch several of your videos but the audio quality makes it impossible for me to invest myself in your videos it sounds like you're doing your videos inside of a grain silo

Thanks for your contributions to the rc world. I find this one of the most informative channels for rc matenence and repair.
Thank you

Excellent explanation. Thank you someone that can actually get to the point and knows what he's doing. 👍
Thanks. I really appreciate that!👍🤙

You are very welcome

So comprehensive and awesome. Love you vids bud!

I assume all of this applies to the original revo as well. I havent compared part number but everything looks exactly the same.
Many Thanx for great job ! Greetings from Poland !
Thank you
Just really great info. Keep up the good work, I've actually used your advice to my benefit thanx.
Great video, I’m learning alot. Thank you👍
im sure you are aware of the up down volume get a clip on mic dude :)
great vid lots of info
appreciated

What things do I need to do to get the greatest control? Amazing video bro! I’m building a erevo from the ground up.
I like the stiffer purple springs and my ride height set high for big jumps. But it really depends on what your building it for.
@@upgradedrc3697 I’ll run it on roads, and maybe go off roading and do few tiny jumps but that’s it
Very detailed👍 Thanks alot👍Great job👍
You forgot to talk about bump steer adjustments with the lil different height captured ball stud things at end of pushrod links and the wheelbase adjustment
I did not forget, that is explained in an earlier video. This video is all about suspension. Your talking about height adjustment thru the pushrod.
Great information. Best videos
Excellent video. Very informative.
Excellent information well presented. Subbed

No, i'm in Whitewater, Colorado. But, yes we have a lot of really good natural landscapes as well as several man made places to bash, crawl, and race!
Well put
Your videos are great man but you really need to get a better mic. I really appreciate the work you put in. It's really nicely presented. Keep up The Good work
Got a new audio mic recently
Very nice video, I m very interested for this product
Great info
What shock oil weight does the erevo 2.0 come with stock
Stock weight is 30
I think that's grand junction in the background.
I think i saw my house

I haven't had any problems with the shocks pulling apart. Just the pushrod ends, i have a great video for that aswell. Have fun!🤘
Dear,I need those suspensions part, I hope to talk with you on line. Thanks
How can I help you?

Ya, i did fix the audio recently with new microphones. And i do wash the truck, but it gets dirty in 30 secs with all the silt like sirt here.
I jump my erevo alot. What would you recommend for susp setup

Watch this video, a 2 part series and you will understand a lot more than I can tell in a text.😎🤙👍

what wheel/tires do you recommend and use on this basher/jumper?

Shock oil can't be compressed its I'm posible! The shock oil controls the rebound so it doesn't spring back!
Thank you very much!

You may be ahead to get another roller and swap your stuff over 😂
That would be easier lol!

All my last 30 videos have all updated audio and video. Sorry about the first 25 lol.
