I’ve just ordered the e revo 2.0, my first rc car in around 30 years, I have watched this video, thank you for the recommended upgrades to do from the start 🙌🏼, thank you 😎🙏🏼
Had to go back and fine this video very good. On my EREVO 1.0 I did the axles and center drive shafts upgrades also the turnbuckle links and rear brace. Put lights from summit on including bumpers. It was the differential that was the weak link. Never touched the center diff/transmission at all. Still have not upgraded the 2.0 at all went out today and did some hard bashing including one super long cartwheel landing I wished I had video of.
Welcome to the Erevo. I think you will love it, I have really enjoyed mine. Some really nice upgrades too. I have never seen those body savers before. I have to check those out, very glad I saw this video for that alone. You mentioned doing limiting straps, I haven't done that, but I really think I should. Anyway, I am subscribing- gotta see your run video with this awesome rig. Have fun!
Great vlog Paul, I jump mine alot, and the axle pops off the ball easy fix, I think changing the links may help a bit. I think they pop off by design though, it's better that than a A arm or chassy. And the servo links you just zero it out on controller and unscrew one or two till they match the hole perfectly, this made the steering much better on mine.
great video. got my e revo few days ago and buying your recommended upgrades. got the alu back brace and tqi link so far. getting the center drive shaft next and a dusty cover
YEAH, I hope you had fun with those black aluminum toe links, the threads are too short and the rod ends are CRAAAAAAAAP! I experienced this on my E-revo
Paul even tho this is 5years old It’s as clear clear as we’d ever need you make working on this troublesome rig easyPeasy😎😎 Do you still beat on this rig Nice of you to share for real 🫡✔️
Hey nice one. No I got out of the bigger RC a good year ago and got back into racing 1/10th. I loved this Revo. Such a pleasure to drive. Even in the air you could just control it. Good times.
Dude I know this is an old video, but do you know how long the toe links are supposed to be, hole to hole and the steering rods please, I tried to see on your instruction sheet but was just out of shot...iv just bought a second hand one and it has the upgraded links on, but they're the wrong length, I can't find what they should be anywere....thanks mate
I wouldn't bother upgrading cooling on the stock/esc motor. I would put a Hobbywing EZRun MAX8 or something in it. You will have to do research on what motor KV is best as I am not 100% sure. Some of the Traxxis Facebooks groups should have the info or a quick Google search. Cheers for tuning in Nick. Good luck.
@@nickthompson9697 Yerhh a lot of Stock ESC and Motors burnt up back in the day. They said it was sorted but I think that kind of upgrade is a good bet IMO. Especially if you bash it hard.
So, by uprating the ESC and keeping to a slimmer compatible motor, capable of additional rpm, I could potentially build a superior machine with a comfortable thermal cushion for when I want to impress the boys at work by raising a football field worth of dust in a handful of seconds on the old rye patch, or trying some sand paddles climbing a 70 degree incline.
@@FullOnRC Notorious 6s just got some 3.8 proline belted trenchers for it too but now been advised to change diff oil set up as they are pretty huge tyres so watch this space for worn out diffs etc etc ha ha enjoy your new Revo looks amazing :)
I don't get it. Why change brandnew parts? I drive my RC's until something breaks, or is worn out, and then upgrade and swap parts. But that's just my opinion...
It was to make the upgrade video. I seen they do well on RUclips and wanted one on the channel. I did my research on good things to upgrade and followed the feedback.
@@debarber87 I dont know tbh because I dont have them to look at so I wouldnt like to say. Rpm Traxxas Short Rod Ends - Blue (12) RPM80475 fir the rod ends I fitted. I also installed RPM a arms on mine too. When you say they sit at an angle do you mean toe out, as in the slightly point outwards?
I have just looked them up and I think they will. It says on Modelsport that the Rpm Traxxas Short Rod Ends - Blue (12) RPM80475 rod ends are an alternative to the 5347 rod ends.

Very true. I gave mine a hard bash the other week and it did'nt break at all I was surprised, also surprised how well it drove.
And the limiting straps is as easy as putting a zip tie from one tri pivot to the other, it works it's just not pretty.
@@paulkauss9346 Such a beauty of an RC deserves the best :)
SO SAD THAT THEY HAVE DISCONTINUED THE E-Revo and the Summit
Yes caps bc I'm upset
I didn't know that. Hopefully a new platform coming.
Cool Video! That truck looks really cool!! 👍👊😎
Yerhh hopefully the bad reputation won't be justified.

Thanks for dropping by. Glad you found it useful. The only thing I added is RPM front arms. Enjoy yours.
I think we can all say we always wanted something like this since home alone 3 because of his rc car

Didn't own the car long enough to have any problems tbh. Awesome RC though. One of the best I've owned.
I have 5000mah one that I run in my 4x4 Slash and I gotta say it's one bad ass battery
is it the soft pack, either or they all great, Top quality HRB IMO.

I don't know sorry. Are they not in the manual, or the online manual under upgrade links?
Can you recommend cooling system upgrades? I burned up the motor/esc on mine in a week.

Nice one Jon. Me mate suggested Hot-racing alloy anchor arms so i'll get them at some point too.

Very nice m8 enjoy
