For someone on keto, this certainly serves a purpose: it’s a nice change from bacon and eggs for breakfast. It also isn’t horribly unhealthy like most cereals.
but why would anyone be on keto? all keto is creating a calorie deficit by lowering carbs...you could just lower fat and carbs both and not eliminate one entirely to achieve a calorie deficit
I discovered yesterday that plain cornflakes with some erythritol on top plus some almond milk mixed with fruity cereal protein tastes almost exactly like a bowl of fruity pebbles, (especially since cornflakes have the same texture) except with much better macros. It's seriously good.
You want healthy cereal? you stop buying over sweetened processed American crap and buy/make proper muesli, or, depending on exactly what you're going for, your local wheat-biscuit variant with some fruit to give it some flavour. Losing weight or gaining muscle mass is a different story, but if you've got your nutrients right to start with, the base line healthy way to lose weight is to just eat less total and exercise more, while the base line healthy way to gain muscle is to eat more and exercise more (remember, this assumes you've got your nutrient intake right, base line, to start with). Pretty much anything else you can do has downsides you've then got to compensate for.
I’m glad someone actually brought this up. Magic Spoon is still just cereal, protein or not. Even Special K Protein only has a few more grams of protein than the original flavor. There’s no point to it at all...
2:38 Can’t find a protein to match the flavor? I bet you can find an extract either online or in store. I know there’s websites that have an INSANE amount of flavorings and extracts.
@@RahulKamat Not for cereal but Butter Extract really gives a nice sort of creaminess that you'd get from butter. Banana extract is a great go-to for me when I want that extra kick of banana flavor!
I saw a lot of ads for this and decided I would check it out. As soon as I saw it only comes in a 4 pack for $40. I’ve never closed a tab so quick. I’m not paying $40 for multiple boxes of cereal I may not even like
I did this a bunch during the summer, and I found that using bran flakes is better than using cheerios because the fiber makes it more filling; however, cheerios are the next best option because of the slightly lower caloric density. Also, using a whey caesin blend helps keep the almond milk (or water) consistency thick like 2% milk without the calories.
@Rodrigo Barraza I do not understand the real purpose of cutting out a major food group for dietary purposes. The only reason I ever had for cutting carbs is when I am shedding water for a show, as carbs will make you store glycogen. You do not burn fat any faster on keto at the end of the day because it really and truly is calories in, calories out, and you are following that protocol whether you fully realize it or not if you are tracking your macronutrients, as macros are literally different forms of calories, although there are non-nutritive forms of calorie as well (particularly alcohol, which DOES convert into sugar, sorry to break it to anyone who is doing keto but alcohol is NOT keto friendly, regardless of the amount of carbs in the actual solution, the literal process of processing alcohol will knock you out of ketosis, so no beer, tequila, vodka, any of it). The only real benefits to keto are shedding water (that’s the 10 pound drop you experience when you go into ketosis), if you are diabetic/have problems with blood sugar, or if you cannot stand to eat a lot of food in volume (and I don’t mean the “I only eat 700 calories a day” kind of person who actually eats a shit ton and we know it, I mean dudes who if they ate no fats would probably hit like 1200 to 1500 calories a day). Most people who go on keto don’t even eat it right, they wind up eating no vegetables and basically nothing but unhealthy fats and wind up blowing their cholesterol out of whack, and have major bowel problems because their fiber intake will plummet through the floor due to a lack of grains or vegetables (the latter which is ESSENTIAL on keto). Simply put it this way, you don’t need to remove food groups, eat foods from every group including fruits, meats, vegetables, grains, dairy, whatever you CAN take because they all contain essential nutrients that we need to function properly.
Cheerios has gmo’s in it and I’m sure they have round up in it, just like Quaker, the carbs are high ,not great at all for a cut, or going into ketosis.

great video mate! but why do you compare the cereal by volumetric servings instead of by weight? the size of the product could change the amount of product by quite a bit. in your cheerios vs cocoa magic spoon comparison a cup of cheerios is 26g while a cup of magic spoon is 37g, i.e. you're able to fit more magic spoon cereal into the same cup so naturally, it probably will have more calories. if we normalize the cheerios serving to an equal 140kcal serving, it weighs about 39g (all numbers from the nutritional labels) and contains 5g of protein, so technically, magic spoon still maintains its value proposition although lol yeah, just have protein powder and plain cereal, it's cheaper

How do you only have 478 subs? I just discovered you and your information is pretty spot on. Can't wait to see you grow!
Appreciate you!! Thanks so much :)
I give magic spoon to my toddler as a dry snack instead of something like goldfish crackers
Def better than goldfish haha
this video is amazing. Loved it XD
Thank you :)
those protein powder bags you have, do they actually genuinely taste good?
I think so, but I never drink protein shakes and only use protein powder for recipes/baking
You are one of theeeee best content makers out here. Could you please share more dessert recipes like brownies, cakes, cookies? Also, if you recreate low-cal Nutella? I'm declaring you the god of desserts! :D
Thanks for the compliments! More dessert recipes coming soon! :)
Loved this video, really shows you how companies prey on fads, and that vegan protein powder is my goto! Im not vegan but I have a horrible time digesting whey protein powder.
It’s the best tasting vegan protein I’ve ever tried!
I was about to buy the variety pack and then I stumbled upon this. at first I thought I was just gonna buy it anyway because the flavors seemed good, but I did not know there were flavors of protein like they have on myprotein. thanks man you saved me some money
You got it! Thanks for watching :)

This just convinced me to buy magic spoon again lmao
Good stuff! BUT for those who don’t eat corn, grains-this won’t work.
You’re right, this cereal is good for keto/low carb

@@RahulKamat Well I'm sold. subscribed.
You’re the best! Thanks!
This is a great ad the only negative thing I see is you have to pour milk first then cereal but hey maybe being a psychopath for a few minutes is worth it lol
Woahhh milk always goes first so the cereal doesn’t get soggy too fast
Thanks for the excellent tip and great video Thanks for saving on my pocket book 2 men Keep making excellent content
Thanks for watching!! ✊
Meanwhile I could probably buy 8-10 boxes of cereal at the local store for $40
A bathtub full of cereal for $40 lol
Works for me. Haha.
Sometimes you just gotta try something, life is about experiences and having fun and trying new things this just seemed like a cool thing to try with my grandpa who is diabetic and misses the sweet cereals he had when he was younger I understand it was probably a scam but I think the cereal is great tasting just to expensive to keep buying more
Completely agree! These cereals do sound tasty
Some people have the cash to throw 10 bucks on a crappy box of cereal I guess
I bet it tastes pretty good though
Bruh, let me just enjoy my Magic Spoon. It's amazing.
Can I borrow $40?
Once a month, thanks.
Hahaha the flavors do sound really good!
i legit just bought some stuff from MyProtein, and Honey saved me 50%.
Haha that’s awesome!
This video needed to be made. ✊🏽
You know it! 💯
