Your idea is just beautiful Heather. Your video was very enjoyable. You are the first person in any video that I have watch that showed tightening the grub screw. Very nice. Thank you for sharing. See you on the next one
Thanks Albert! Funnily enough, I dropped my grub screw in the shavings yesterday and spent 1.5 hrs looking for it! 🤨 finally found it! Against the wall behind the lathe! Grrrr!!
Wow, that red heartwood really took me by surprise! And these are superb little tree decorations - I'm amazed I've never seen flying saucers turned on the lathe before. Thanks Heather, that was fun.
I love your "litte projects" Heather. What you do is truly inspirational. One question: You tightened the grub screw when you mounted the chuck, was there a particular reason for that? (I didn't notice the lathe going in reverse at any time. )
I always tighten the grub screw. It sometimes flies out if it isn't tightened, so this way I don't loose it, and if I happen to turn/sand in reverse, I don't have to worry about the chuck coming off the lathe! Thanks for watching!❤️
I like very much this ufo. Sorry for my english, I am french... could you tell me where did you buy your "cup tool" for Dremel ? And don’t you think that sequoia’s wood has a red heartwood also ?
You can find the cup tools at MDI woodcarving supply. MDI Woodcarvers Supply +1 207-487-3100 g.co/kgs/goqXZoy I have never turned sequoia, but I have turned a lot of this eastern red cedar as I have lots of it on my property, here in Ontario Canada. Thanks for watching~Heather 🇨🇦

Love 'em Heather !!!! I'm wondering how you trained the rooster to crow on cue @ 10:18 ? Keep 'em coming. Take care. -Mike
Those are very well trained Canadian Roosters! Not quite as well trained as the Canada goose, but a close second!
@@spiritwynd Well then, it's decided: Canada takes 🥇Gold and 🥈Silver in ... 🤔hmm, what category was that ?
