I watch a lot of wood turning videos & this is the first time I looked at the finished project and immediately thought, "I want that!" 😮 Amazing, creative, beautiful work!! 🎉
Das Stück bezeichne ich gern einmal als Kunstwerk! So etwas habe ich nicht erwartet. Meine Vorstellungskraft reichte nicht ganz so weit, wie das Können dieses Meisters. Echt klasse!
I was happy just watching how you created your angle pieces ❤. I am 1000% envious of your mind and abilities. I watch a lot of these videos with some amazing artwork but this is truly the most interesting and stunning piece I've seen. It would be gorgeous on its side with a low watt light behind it.
Could be a candy bowl. Nifty! I was thinking towards the end when the bowl became more apparent, that while the blue is nice, since it's pine cones doing similar to this with dark green or holly-berry red for a Christmas Tree stand.
Cracks and bubbles could've been prevented by using a pressure pot to create a vacuum, which would've forced the air to the surface and allowed for more even curing. Very nice piece all the same! Maybe it's worth a revisit later?
A pressure pot actually is the exact opposite of a vacuum. You are correct about it eliminating bubbles though. A pressure pot actually crushes them to the point where they are so small, they can not be seen
Cool, innovative design! You really had me guessing what it was going to be. My only issue is that it needs more work on the finish. Brushing on a layer of clear coat isn't enough...don't skimp on the sanding and polishing. It's ALMOST there! I'd love to see you do more versions of this design using different woods and resin colors...maybe without the mica powder? Experiment! :)
That is incredibly good work, visualising the end result and then making it is quite admirable. Did you go straight to making this first time or did you have some trial runs to get the design right?
Loved this project Well done. It looks great. I hope to try it soon. One question: Towards the end, when it is supported in a jam chuck and tailstock pressure, i could follow that, but when tailstock is removed it seems to be held just by the previous pressure pushing the workpiece onto the wooden 'plug'. Is this correct? it seems like it would just fall off, or am I missing something?
Such an unintelligent comment. Not every wood turner can do it in the same amount of time. Way too many variables regardless if you’re a wood turner or not.
Well I certainly didn’t expect that, but a totally stunning piece. I just marvel at the creative mind that dreamt that piece and then made it.
Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it.
So nice to see something besides vases and bowls, that is awesome.
Glad you like it!
It is a bowl! ... but a very cool one.
Very nice. Pine cone placement was perfect.
I like it! Totally was seeing something different and then it was a bowl. A completely unique bowl! Anyway, great video!

It turned out really well. It’s a unique design, don’t think I’ve seen anything quite like that. That’s what experimenting is about, something new.
You're absolutely right. Thank you! I'm glad you like it.

Herzlichen Dank! Ich schätze die Komplimente sehr.
Very nice especially the base with the light and dark blue reflection.

Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.
Beautiful piece. Very unique.
beautiful art piece 👍
Very impressive! What’s more amazing is at first glance you can’t even tell it’s actually real pine cones in the decor
I love this. I've never seen anything like this before!!! It's so beautiful!!
Thank you! I'm glad you like it.
A stunning piece. I was fascinated to see the design process

Nice. I thought that the vacant parts would make it harder to do. But nope. Cool idea.
Τελειω μπράβο!

That’s some stunning work. I was going to tell you I could’ve done a much better job…. But I’d be lying. Great work!
SUPERB 👌👌👌

You could put one of those circular led panels underneith to illuminate it in the dark.
Looks good.
Gorgeous, thanks
Top, como as semente de pinus dar um feito fantástico!...
Nice work
Show 👏👏👏👏👍👊🇧🇷
Carve middle out a Lil more and it makes a good candle holder
That is incredibly good work, visualising the end result and then making it is quite admirable. Did you go straight to making this first time or did you have some trial runs to get the design right?
Thank you very much! This was my first attempt. I thought I'd try it out and record it. Luckily it turned out pretty well.
NIce job. Did you use a pressure pot to eliminate the bubbles in the resin? What was your finish?
Thank you! Yes, I did use a pressure pot. I finished it with lacquer.

I taped it together. Unfortunately, I forgot to record that.
You can see a bit of the white tape in the video.
That's a lot of labor for an ashtray! 😂
Really!!!!?? I was shocked when I saw your comment 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow that's an amazing piece! Where do you get the ideas from?! Incredibly beautiful 💙
Thank you very much! I'm not sure, it just comes to my mind. 😅
I noticed the screw on the mounting plate to my left which was your right at the start of the video was not tight.
What is it? Does it have a function or is it just art?
Imagine that with a small light source underneath…
I wish all you wood turners would give us a hint of how long the job takes.
Such an unintelligent comment. Not every wood turner can do it in the same amount of time. Way too many variables regardless if you’re a wood turner or not.
Everyone will be different, but it might still be interesting to know how long it took for this one.
No need to insult people for being curious.
Sieht wirklich super aus, tolle Idee. Was hast du da für ne Bank bitte ?
Dankeschön! Es ist die Record Power DML 320.
What finish did you use?
And people wonder why inflation is high. It seems wasting money and resources for internet clicks is fine. The billionaire overlords approve.
Wtf are you talking about?
Cool as F**K!
Quatsch in schöner Gestal, wobei letztere auch noch fehlt ...
Missed finishing between legs at end. Bare wood.
Candy dish
Damn
Du machst das auch interessant, oder?
protoss
Маслом покрывать смолу? Идиотская идея. Масло высохнет и никакого блеска.
Decided not to buff out the brush marks in the finish?
