- Welcome back to my youtube channel, in this week's video I made a jar with a dome lid, this jar is made of several types of burl wood, namely, gempol cheese burl, teak burl, spalted tamarind and rosewood, I myself was quite surprised when finishing, the burl texture is so striking when smeared with beeswax, adding to the elegance of this jar, for finishing I used beeswax, hopefully entertained by watching my video and hopefully this video can be useful for many people

Gorgeous! It is so nice to watch a craftsman turn wood... rather than someone turning resin with some wood in it. Thank you. ♥
Gems are not necessarily made of precious stones- obviously they can be made of wood, too.
👏👏👏👏🏆
I never miss a Mayuko video

How can you not love a wood that has the word 'cheese' in its name? 😂 Beautiful as ever!
That’s cheesy.
Wow! That's just beautiful! The look of the wood, the burls, the color they all compliment each other. Thank you for taking time to build, turn, film edit and post this video.
@@donaldmatthies6026 Thank you also for watching and giving appreciation to my work. 🙏🙏
Beautiful work. Beautiful lid. but the piece is better as a vase without the lid.
Another masterpiece. It was fascinating watching each piece of the puzzle coming together.

Oooh these spalted woods and burls ! And an intense patterning of the jar and lid ! Rather breathtaking ! 🦓🌏🦓
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how square elements in the glue up become curved features during the turning. A masterpiece! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Magnificent work! How many hours did This take?
3:22 Excuse me Mr Mayuko, why do you glue up on the lathe, instead of with clamps? Does it create enough pressure?
P.S. thank you for showing us your magnificent work
@@anb2456 gluing with a lathe is easier to arrange each wood line with each other and it is strong enough because the wood is thick enough
Where do you find such a beautiful selection of woods? Amazing work as always!
@@garybeasley4885 I get many types of wood from specialty stores that collect exotic woods.
Beautifully done.
Why did you use rubber bands instead of clamps on your first glue-up?
When gluing small pieces of wood, I feel more comfortable using rubber bands because when pressed with rubber bands, the pieces will not deviate and are easier to adjust compared to using clamps. If you are gluing large pieces of wood, you will definitely use clamps.
Very nice
Stunning!!
