Question. Besides the manifold gasket, do you also apply any type of muffler cement. My manifold came with a cheap gasket that is smooth on one side and sort of dimpled on the other. Does it matter which side goes towards the engine block?
No sealant required. I usually put the smooth side on the head side, but I don't think it matters.
Those two small gaskets you chose to keep and seal with putty.. i'm putting new ones in but i don't know which direction they go. One side is flat and smooth, other side sort of comes to a peak and has a seam.
Peak side out. I would go.
Does that muffler cement when used like in the video need a cure time or can the car be started after installation?

@@kurtwm2010 f22, and f23 are single cam 2.2& 2.3L 4cyl engines. H22, and H23's are dual cam. F engines came in a ton of accords, Odysseys, Acuras and others. H's were mostly prelude engines.

Isnt mini me a D15 with D16 vtec head?
This mini me is a d16y7 with a d16y8 head. For whatever reason the piston on a y7 has a taller compression height. I built it that way, because the original engine had a rod knock, and y7's are cheaper to get.
