I absolutely cannot get the hang of dpn's... this tutorial was a life saver for me. Crochet socks are too rough and I wanted to learn to knit them instead. I got frustrated and almost gave up then I decided to see if I could knit them on a loom. The instructions in the box were only for the sock pattern so I had to find a way to learn how to use the loom. That's how I ended up here. My feet and hands are always freezing unless its 70 degrees out or higher, thanks to thyroid disease. Thank you for making easy to follow along tutorials!
This was the best beganers series. Super easy to understand. Received my loom for Christmas and have already completed a pair of (yes 2) socks. Thanks, I see making socks for family& friends for the rest of my life.
What I am trying to understand is the sizing of socks. I see this newborn or baby sock is 10 pegs across. I don't have sizing instructions with my loom. And though I've researched it, everyone seems to have the same question that I do.
you really should post which video would be next or put part 2, 3, 4, etc. in the titles to clearly show the sequence because I had no idea where to go. I went to Stitches next, and I'm sure hoping i'm right. How should I be following this sequence of videos?

i am looking for a list of how many to cast on per sock for children babies adult ect..... i dont want to have to try to measure someones foot when they will be for a gift.... is there a way to go by a shoe size and cast on the recommended stitches?
I'm trying to understand why the instructions in my job original sock loom says to use between 16 and 98 pegs but only 60 on the loom? Doesn't sound quite right. It says you can socks for children to adults but if the ball of your foot is over 7" you can't use this loom 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
i recently purchased the New KB His & Her sock Loom, took me awhile to figure out as my sock loom is totally different from one in a video. Now that i can cast on, now need rest of instructions. But it did help after several tries...
How do you determine the size of the sock on the loom? If that's not clear - I don't know how one would know where to place the adjustable middle part for making adult socks.
I bought a 52 peg loom but all the videos have an extra 4 or 5 peg slider that did not come with mine, can I knit socks without the slider? Where is a video for that?
how many pegs would be used for a newborn. Having a hard time figuring that out. I love how for the hats there is a chart for how many pegs to use. Wish there was one for the sock loom.
I have tried this 4 times and I still can't. I feel like my head is going to explode I am so incredibly confused and after failing this many times I am flustered. When will the knitting gods come and help me.
Could you do a hand cast on then put it on the pegs. I use an extra stretchy cast on, but have difficulty manipulating four needles due to arthritis. I’ve bought this type of loom to see if it will be easier on the joints.
these viedos are ok but i'm confused on a couple of things first off is the cuff necessary? at least the way you make it also which order do these videos go in its confusing and i'm lost
Hi there, I've bought a Boye sock loomer, I'm trying to loom a adult sock with sock yarn, it is thin, every thing is perfect till I get to the cuff, I have 14 pecks to work with, I've ended already with the cuff, but it seems to little. I have been watching videos, is the yarn right for the sock loomer? It is my first time doing it, and it was ordered online and shipped to South Africa, jip a long way!! Can you please put a video on with a adult size sock making with your sock loomer? Thanks
I do not have any instructions with my sock loom and I wondered where you put the cross bar depending on the size of the sock you are making? What weight of yarn are you using in the video
The issue I kept running into was the yarn getting too tight to be able to use the knit hook to raise it over the peg. Is there some magical way of not making the yarn too tight to lift up? I tried at least 10 different times, but always got the same result. I got frustrated and figured the sock loom wasn't for me. I don't like to give up, so I am writing to try and get some help. Any thoughts would be appreciated!! I was using a Sock Yarn 1. Thank you!
When you are wrapping around make sure that the yarn is loose, you dont want it to be too tight. Just tight enough to make sure it doesnt slip off. Give it a little slack, I hope this helps you.
OMG I had this happen and it turned out to be two things I was doing wrong: First, I was wrapping the yarn the wrong way -the cross overs have to be on the INSIDE of the loom. Second, I was using yarn that was way to thick for the loom, BUT when I started to wrap the yarn PROPERLY it didn't happen! haha! (I capitalize only to emphasize my mistakes) Hope that helps! oxox
My issue is after I got the yarn cast on and tried to knit, the slack is way too much. Anyone else end up with too much slack. Any ideas to lessen the slack?
take the butt end and the guts out of a cheap ink pen and feed your yarn through, this will help you with tension. this will also shorten the time it takes to complete a project.
I finally finished "A" sock after 5 months of taking it apart, 3 times, because I kept dropping stitches and forgetting where I was in the pretty straight foreword pattern. After having difficulty binding off and sewing the toe together, the sock was still WAY to small and very tight regardless of the slack in the yarn. I am so frustrated, I should have just stuck with DPN's and endured with the problem of ladders! Btw, I started top down. I want to do the other sock for a pair, but I know they won't match, any words of encouragement or help? The toe looks like "The Joker" from Batman.
Its not complicated, just a lot smaller than regular looms like a Knifty Knitter... I find that most picks are a bit too big to knit over with, so I use a dental scraper/pick...
Help! What am I doing wrong? Every time I try to cast on the stitches they come back off if I loosen the tension the least little bit. I am using sock weight yarn. on the wooden sock loom. Any advice would be deeply appreciated
Kb should have left the steel pegs on the sock looms, I often use my old boye sock loom because of the pegs instead of my sock loom 1 and sock loom 2 No issues with my 5\8 5/16 or my 28in or 38in Kb looms with the plastic pegs, just the sock looms.
if you could do the winding a bit slower and close up it really looks great ok i am a man but we do this in a handicapcentre and the people here can do it
you don't talk about the loom, the size between the pegs, how many pegs you used, what weight /thickness of yarn you used ?????? your instructions are very clear and easy to follow , but there is a lot of information missing in my opinion
You need to get the camera closer so that we can see the turns, I know it’s hard with the camera angles and your hands trying to do the stitch and also letting the viewer see what’s happening. It’s a good video but it’s hard to see beyond your hands. Thank you
Totally confusing. How many pegs to use? where do you put the slide bar? I can figure out how to put yarn on the pegs but just need to be clearer on how to start .
This system is the worst. It does not do any knit or purl stitches or anything else. All you end up with is a tangled mess. No neat rows like with real knitting!!!

Can you please tell me if this will work with the Boye sock loom? Thank you, and have a blessed day.
How long does it normally take to finish socks. I feel like I aoing something wrong as I have never completed any.
what weight/fiber content yarn are you using in this video?
Could you tell me please how many pegs should I cast on for a 3 years old kid and how many for 1 year old? thank you
I never got a DVD with mine knitting board. I guess I just need to watch the videos on here. Thanks for showing us how to use this.
Which sock loom is better? The mettle pegs or the plastic???
I have stretchy sock yarn anyone know how to use it? I don't know if I'm supposed to stretch it when I use it
Which loom are you using here?

I didnt get a video lol
Qui peux me dire comment sa marche en français merci ses pour faire des chausette pour adulte au bébé

How do you know the sizes, adult socks vs child socks
How do you determine the size of the sock on the loom? If that's not clear - I don't know how one would know where to place the adjustable middle part for making adult socks.
That's exactly what I am wondering.
Buen dia hooo no podria trasferir en español porfavor gracias 🙇
in what order do I do the videos after cast on.

After you've cast on what do you do? Which video comes next? Thank you so much. Your videos are the most helpful and clear ones on youtube.

How do you make it look easy mine was always so tight it will not work
That's because her instructions are wrong. Your yarn should not be "snug." It should be wrapped on the pegs without tension.
Could you do a hand cast on then put it on the pegs. I use an extra stretchy cast on, but have difficulty manipulating four needles due to arthritis. I’ve bought this type of loom to see if it will be easier on the joints.
What type of loom is that & how do I get one??
how many pegs?
how many pegs do you use for an adult size? for example I'm in a size 7 shoe???? would love to use my loom.

ply 1 or 2. when making socks u always use a tiny small weight yarn like 1 ply or 2 ply

If you knit off your last cast on st before working the round, it holds the yarn in place
how u know size
