Thank you for this video! It has allowed me to fulfill a promise of making stockings for my kids when their grandmother died to soon to finish making them herself. ❤
A fantastic tutorial, thank you. I love the German Short Rows for my 10 stitch blankets and had wondered about using it for socks. I am going to give it a try.
I know Im asking randomly but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Eugene Titus Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Ciao hai un video dove fai vedere come si fa' un cardigan per bambina? Con questi telai? Mi aiuti? Lo cerco da molto ma non ho trovato un video dove spiega bene come si fa'.grazie
I do have a tutorial for over an hour on this pair of socks on how to customize sizes using this sock as an example. It has a ton of info packed in. It is one of a few members only videos. The link is in the video description if you are interest in the video and happen to become a member. It doesn’t walk you through each stitch from cast on but offers much more than spooning out that info. You can apply the knowledge to future projects.
I don't completely understand the foot to know how many rows for the foot ,I looked at your instructions on the sock fit I just don't get the calculation please help me
I would love to make these socks 🧦 But I have a couple of questions First 1. Is I don’t have a sock loom ? 2. Can I use any other loom instead of a sock loom? 3. What is the best size yarn to use ?
1. Ok 2. Yes. The loom I used is a small gauge 3/8” loom. You can use any loom that works in the round that you can get the desired number of stitches for your gauge. If it as adjustable for getting to the right peg count that is best. I recommend a small gauge loom 3/8” or smaller for socks that works in the round (can be round, oval, square, rectangular, flexee, etc. just has to be continuous) 3. Worsted weight (medium 4 weight) at most or Aran or DK. Also LT worsted at 3 weight. Sock weight yarn obviously is great, etc. You can also use smaller yarn on a Fine Gauge or Extra Fine gauge loom. Just use appropriate weight yarn when using smaller gauge looms. Note that you will require more stitches per inch for smaller gauges however the socks with the lighter yarn and smaller gauges knit a very nice sock.
So I have a sock loom but still do not know how to use it yet. I'm new beginner and can't fine a free pattern from start to finish video on socks because I need a woman size 7 and I can't find a free pattern or video on it. Can you help me out. Just something easy to start with. Thank you.
I found this to be more difficult than the Kitchener stitch because the yarn is sooo tight. It started to make my look hook turn in the plastic handle and I was afraid of breaking a peg. 😢
I would say the stitches may have been worked too tightly then. A flat knit stitch should never be so tight as to cause not being able to work it over easily. With this technique yes it fo course will be tighter but if it’s causing that much struggle then I wouldn’t pull as hard or change the technique to the wrap and turn. You will need to lift the stitch, wrap the peg and turn the other direction instead. When it comes to increasing afterward you will need to lift both loops and wrap and turn again then work all 3 over 1 the next time.

Or of course use Kitchener if this is beginning the cast on for the toe or closing.
I don’t have a loom and Don’t know what a loom is
