Wait! This makes sense! I have struggled with socks on different looms, including a sock loom (knitting board) and I could not, ever, figure out how to do the short rows. This makes sense! It's achievable! I can do it! Thanks, Denise! While I'm not working on a sock, I'm actually working on the glasses holder (round head) this particular video called my name and I'm so glad. Thank you, thank you!
Really helpful, thanks. I think I've worked a shortcut for the wrap and turn. It uses the same principal as the shortcut for the slip 1 with yarn in front. Purl the stitch but do not remove from peg. Tighten working yarn so it falls behind the peg, as for slwyif. Then bring to front of peg, skipping that peg, and continue with next row. I used this shortcut for the wrap and turn rows on a sock I just knitted and it worked perfectly.
Well, I’m impressed, all you have to do is watch the video a few times...this is still MUCH EASIER than trying to stitch by hand, and looks amazing...round looming is my secret hobby/obsession! Great speaking voice for video!! Love your explanations!
I enjoy watching and listening to your videos, Denise. Your voice is so calming after a day's work. I'll be watching this again after I get a needle knit test knit completed. I'll be watching and doing at the same time, I learn best that way. Thanks for all you do for the loom knitting community!
Eh Denise.. I did it . I followed along to your video to do my heel...and all I have to say is THANK YOU. it looks so much better then any other heel I have tried. Once again thank you for sharing. Have a Happy New Year.... cheers!
I'll be honest Denise I've knitted many things on the loom now but I have avoided socks because of the heel but yet again you explain it so well 😀 I would love to do a Christmas stocking now, thankyou. Hope Santa is good to you this Christmas 🎅🎄🎁 Ho Ho Ho
I love using the german short row. I'm making a zig zag scarf using it and its coming out great. Cant wait to try this on a sock. Merry Christmas to you and the family! Hugs
Love your voice! I have anxiety issues and some sounds kick it up a notch. Can you please help me understand why you insert the hook into the loops with the needle pointing up? I'm just learning, but I find it easier to grab the loops with the needle pointing down and this avoids grabbing the loops on top of the pegs. Also, can you talk about tension. Thank you for sharing your work. I know there's a lot of work that goes into your videos! ❤️❤️
Me encanta lo que haces, pero me gustaría entenderte, soy de Argentina y hablamos en castellano, podría ser que lo traduzcan en Español? Muchas gracias👏👏🤩
Hello miss Denise, do you think you can make a video of how to embroide a loom hat? ive been looking all over youtube but nobody explains as clear as you do sending love from florida
Hi - thanks for asking. You would embroider a loom knit hat the same way you would do any other fabric if doing it on the surface. A good example is dolls - ruclips.net/video/pO8_1eoHUxg/видео.html
I made dozen or more of knitted slipper socks &sometimes they have a hole &other times they dont cant figure out what im doing wrong and been knitting/crochetting over 25 yrs🤔
Thank you for this! I wasn't happy with the heel on the socks I tried before, but this looks amazing. Will definitely be trying this as soon as my 24peg loom is free (halfway through a pair of your fingerless gloves!) xx
I had tried this a year ago with socks on a large gauge 24-peg loom. If your foot is more than 38th European, this heel is catastrophically SMALL and tight. %(( Maybe I've done something wrong of course, but I was too sad to see that this scheme is good only for small and child's feet.
I wish you hadn't used 2 strands of yarn. It's really difficult to see what a German short row really looks like. Make another video using one strand. Thanks

It’s actually a good thing to watch a video a few times before you start. 👍🏽
@@LoomaHat agreed! I watched the video straight through 2 times, then stop-start as I work on the project

Do you have a tutorial on how to make the whole sock including the heel from start to finish?
Is there a video for the entire sock including the shirt row heel? Will have to try this soon. Thanks
Hi Diane Thank for asking - there will be a video of a sock that's a bit different
What about the rest of the sock, is there a video for that? :)
Dale -thank YOU for asking. The Stocking Sock is coming - it will look a bit differently - more Santa less Elfe
@@LoomaHat Wonderful, I happily and eagerly await the upcoming video and thank you Denise for sharing this tutorial with us. :)

Can you share the pattern for the entire sock please?
I made dozen or more of knitted slipper socks &sometimes they have a hole &other times they dont cant figure out what im doing wrong and been knitting/crochetting over 25 yrs🤔
Sometimes it's the yarn and not your knitting
This is the only way to see any of your patterns anymore due to I can't get on the website
why in front of the heel is so tight with me?
I’ve watched it three times but my heels still have a hole on each side!
how to loomknit a short a german short row on a all in loom ?
💖
And I'm very good at crocheting and looming!! But this just doesn't make sense to me at all.
Everyone says this Is easy I can not understand it at all!!
👌✌️🌹
Fantastic post but the background noise is really off putting
