An advise to beginners. Make a baby sock as in the tutorial first before getting onto adult socks. PATIENCE IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS. Once you get the hang of it, you will begin to have fun. I am having fun making socks for my Newfoundland and Labrador, preparing for snow. My dogs are not young and when the snow balls get caught in their furry paws, it hurts them so much that they whine in pain. Instead of taking their hair dryer to melt the snow, I put long socks on their big paws. This SOCK LOOM is a blessing and a great invention. I make socks for myself as well as for my one year grandson. Thankyou SOCK LOOM. Hugs xxx
its in the phamplet your given when you buy the sock loom. measure around the ball of ur bare foot or widest part at base of toes with resting on the floor. multiply the # of inches by the gauge of 7. subtract 15% of this total which accounts for the negative give of the yarn. the resulting number is the number of pegs that should be used for your sock using the flat stitch if you get an uneven number add 1 to arrive at the corret number of pegs hope that helps
This is really complicated! The instructions that come with the sock loom is difficult to understand. What if someone didn’t have internet? There is nothing that explains that you have to do the heel first, then the rest of the sock. I wish there was a video that explained it from the beginning to the end. Thanks though for your video!
Hi like your videos. I was wondering when I get to heel part , can I e-wrap the heel instead of flat stitch ? This is my first time doing socks and I'm using a KB Sock Loom EFG.

Muchas gracias, su tutoreal me ayudó mucho a entender como se hace el talón, espero me ayude a hacer la punta...
nice clear instructions. it looks like fun. i do 'regular' knitting and this looks like it might be slower (?) but i'd like to try it.
I agree with more for the toe from start to finish! Thanks
So how do u make the toes?
@patgilbanks u divide half of the stitches and then divide the half into thirds and knit 2 thirds
Thank u soooo much for making this!!!
Hihi!

donde podria conseguir este telar ?
why do you make the knit stitches different than in the cuff?
I notice that you started on the long side. I learned the left handed way, and would be starting on the short adjustable side. Is that correct too?
that was helpful waiting for my sock loom to arrive to i ca begin making socks thks for sharing
The flat stitch is soooo tight. I’m not getting a heel, just tiny tight rows. Any advice?
What size sock is this for?
Is this stich necessary for the heel? Is the flat stich the only one that will work in both directions?
