    I use my own homespun 2 ply wool yarn. Starting with alternating knit stitch and purl stitch cuff. The sock proper is flat stitch. This makes the warmest winter sock I have ever seen.

    Omg! Thank you so much for this video! You explain everything so well! You should be on the kB disc that come with the loom! I bought my loom about 4 years ago and watched the video that came with it and I was totally lost, I put it back in the box until I just found your video. I am so impressed with you! Thank you so much! I will be starting some socks tonight ❤️

    Hello Scarlet! I love your Video! Thank you so much!! There isn't a lot of options for the extra fine gauge loom, and boy have I been nervous to try it! My hook was NOT usable with my loom, unfortunately, it was way too big to even fit into the grooves and had no tilt to the end of the hook. Luckily i have a few hooks with very small tines to fit into the grooves, but still no little "tilt" on the end of the tine. Anyhow, thank you so much for this video! Am trying to make a baby bootie for my Grandbaby who is due soon!! Thanks again, Jody

      +Cara Elena I haven't seen the pick available. Mine came with the slight curve on the end. And I do love it for fine gauge looming. Good luck and am soo glad this video has helped. :-) Also feel free to see my no show sock video for other instructions for the rectangular looms.

    COOL! Kitchener stitch on the loom. I really don't like a seam across the top of my foot, but I've been trying to think how to decrease the toe, but still sew off the end. I'm doing my first sock, and I can make them by hand a lot faster, I think, but just had to try it once. If I ever do it, again, I'll do toe up, I think. Thanks for the very clear and informative video.

    • @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse
      @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse  7 лет назад +4

      Many who have trouble with the flat knit try a u knit. I tend to pull the loop over and then pull to the center of the loom before releasing and it gives me a looser stitch. My video on fine gauge base techniques shows this process. It has helped many to get to where they have an easier time with the flat knit.

    • @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse
      @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse  7 лет назад

      Heels are generally dividing all the pegs you are using in half, and only using half the pegs fo the heel, the wrap and turn your heel down to 5 pegs. the less pegs you use means the less wrap and turns too.

    • @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse
      @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse  7 лет назад +1

      With this loom because you can move the adjuster around you will need to add more pegs and decrease it down to when you get to the ankle. With the desire to do this you will need to do a swatch. A 10 row by 10 pegs to figure out your inch by inch.

    Ms. Scarlett Royal, I know this video is 3 years old, but if you see this, can you help me? I want so much to be able to make socks, but no matter how loose I make my cast-on, after a row or two my stitches become so tight that they are unworkable. I even tried to go slower and use the true-knit stitch, but even those didn't last long. Is there anything different I can try?

    • @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse
      @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse  6 лет назад

      Laura Setepenre what method are you using to find your peg count? If you are using the one in the video, did you put your weight on the foot when tracing out your mold? Also if you using the measuring method of the ball did you put your weight on the foot when measuring? You can get almost a half inch difference if not. That can give you problems with your fit. As for your tension I am not sure, particularly when using the true knit. You might be pulling on the working yarn more. I would suggest try to barely pull on it when working it. So it might help with your tension. Hope this is helpful for you.

    • @laurasetepenre1747
      @laurasetepenre1747 6 лет назад

      Thank you, I will try to pull even less on my working yarn. I don't feel like I'm pulling at all, really, but I must be. As for the fit, I decided to not use the KB loom for now. I am using a full round CinDWood 40 peg 3/8 for now so I don't have to struggle with the inside pegs for my first sock. Even with the flexible pegs my yarn became so unworkable I feared snapping the pegs off the frame. I was at the point of weeping last night. I'll take a deep breath and try again tonight. Thank you so much for your quick reply!

      I have the same issue. No matter how loose I leave the yarn after 2-3 rows it is too tight and breaks the yarn. I just am using the loom as is. I didn't try to make a specific size. I just wanted to learn first.

    • @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse
      @ScarlettRoyaletheloommuse  6 лет назад

      The plastic on this loom are brittle and I broke some pegs. I don't like it all that much, I prefer the CinDwood socks looms in the 1/4" gauge and the size 1 yarn works better. Honestly I am not the biggest KB fan any way.

    This did not help me at all as i have the new his & her sock loom fine gauge and it is totally rectangle...???

      Your question is not very clear, but I will answer in two ways. Circular loom can be used to make loom socks as well. However this video, this woman used the rectangle with adjustable pegs. Watch the video carefully from start to end. :)

    No we can't see unless you zoom out just a little because you are off camera. Not ment to insult just an observation and request to zoom out. ♥♥🙏🙏

    Hey. I was really disappointed because the color choice used and the camera focus made it very hard to see. Thank you anyway.

    The heel instructions are confusing as hell! Also, this video is blurry. It's difficult to see exactly what you're doing. Did you not notice this when you posted it??

      Do you have a free printable version. It helps me to go over and over a pattern to get it right and my internet doesn't always come in for the video tutorial. Thanks! bodiegoostree@yahoo.com
