The C3 error means a sensor is bad. If you look around there's a video on a fix, and it's as simple as cleaning the sensor contacts which is underneath the unit. It could also need to be replaced but most people aren't up for that, but DIY won't have a problem.
I’ve had my IP 6qt Duo for four plus years. I use it jut about every day. It’s a single person’s best tool in the kitchen shed, along with a sharp knife. So far I don’t see the need for another .
I love the inner pot with the handles. I used it on the stove for the first time, this week, when my instant pot didn’t seem to warm up as a slow cooker. Yes I know that slow cooking is it’s downfall, but my husband was making chili and over filled the pot for pressure cooking…
My first instant pot got the error code but I wanted the new one with the yogurt setting so I didn’t ask for a replacement. I’ve never been disappointed with the new one. I make a pot of yogurt once a week. Now I always print the invoice and keep it in my owners manual just in case.
I just purchased the Instant Pot Pro Plus specifically for the Wi-Fi capabilities and it would not connect. I called customer service for troubleshooting and the first two phone calls were terrible; however, they were also with the generic call-center outside of North America. The third call was with an actual Instant Brands employee in North America and the service was impeccable. If you’re having trouble with their customer service, be sure to ask to speak to their North American call center.
I have Instant Pot Pro with the handles and I love it! I use it at least once a week for one pot meals. I use the custom, steam, and saute buttons. I haven’t used the pre-programmed buttons. I want to try making cold start yogurt, but I’ll buy a new inner pot and glass lid for it.
I had a similar experience. One day my display just went completely dead while it was in keep warm mode. I contacted customer service and was sent a newer model because my model was discontinued due to defective issues. I couldn’t be more pleased.
If you ever get the C1 error code for this model, remove the bottom panel and make sure all of the wires are tightened correctly on the circuit board. All it took was tightening one screw and my pot works good as new! I own both instant pot and a ninja foodi.
The liner with the handles is worth upgrading your model in my opinion. I'm so glad I did. I thought I wanted sous vide function but what I use more is yogurt function.
I use my IP for mostly yogurt every week, I make Mississippi pot roast (keto) now and then, or some other recipe. But, my husband has his own setup for sous vide because my 6qt pot isn't big enough.
Same thing happened to me. I ordered the Instant Pot Pro Crisp & Air Fryer 8-quart from Wayfair. I had it for a month and had issues with it not reaching pressure. When I reached out to customer service they asked for photos of the heating element, the back sticker and the receipt from Wayfair. And just like that they sent me a replacement. They also told me to keep the "defective" unit or dispose of it.
I haven't had any issues with my Instant Pots, but it is good to know they have great customer service. Glad you had a great experience. That is as good as it gets. Thanks for sharing.
never mind found the pro max model has the same features but with the quieter release valve lid but no touch screen 😢😢 same price its at william sona or something like that.. I just bought the Pro Plus, your video was the deciding factor soo thank you very much!!! GodBless
Thanks! I contacted them and they replaced mine as well. I got a great deal and that sale was over, didn't want to return a DOA and lose those savings.
I also had awesome customer service from Instant Pot. My instant pot max had an error msg. Emailed, auto response, then request for pictures, and then they sent me a new lid. 👍
Love your videos! Family of two and I have the original instant pot and planning to upgrade - do you have video that talks about the pros and cons of each? your feelings on the "crisp" model?
Does this model have a Steam setting? My understanding is that on older models, such as the basic Duo, Steam is a pressure setting which doesn’t cycle on and off. It sounds as if the Max pressure setting may be an equivalent?
I had the same error was just outside warranty. No joy at all. They offered to sell me a new one at a price higher than the Amazon price. Maybe you get better treatment as a known RUclipsr?
nice vid. any chance you could tell the version of Instant Pot that is virtually the same as the one you linked, however I do not need 'wifi smart'...? TIA!
That exact thing with the same timeframe happened to me. I reached out today. Let’s see what happens. Update: Customer service told me to buy a new one. 😢
@@IndigoNili Thanks for the answer! I think I'm going to take the leap and get the Pro-Plus. I don't currently do any canning, but I could see that becoming a "thing" - I sure know that I had no intention of making yogurt when I got my IP back in the day! Though I consider myself to be relatively tech-forward I am suspicious of the digital touch screen, but I know I would haaaate the beeps on the Pro. BTW - your videos are STILL some of the very best information on Instant Pots all these years later!!! 😀😍🥰
I have their airfryer. Not long after I got it, the handle broke. I contacted them, supplied the pictures they asked for, and got a replacement just like you. All I needed was a new handle, but they sent a whole new one anyway. I was very happy with their customer service.
My InstantPot was beyond the warranty they still gave me a new one after I had a similar error message. Great customer service.

I really wish IP would produce a 3 quart with pot handles and the ability to be used on the stove. They would sell so many to small homes and RVers
This is the very reason I have hung onto my old fashioned pressure cooker so I don't have to have electricity.
AGREE

I still have my original IP from 7 or 8 years ago. I love it still and use it weekly. No danger of getting a burn notice or anything.
I love the “lid upside down” tip.

@Cindy K. My sous vide IP is the 8qt so it works out pretty well.

We don't use our instant pot much. Have to get it out and play around with it
I love making corned beef in it! 90 minutes and doesn't stink up the house like crock pot would all day.

Oh lord! I hope that don't happen to my 6 qt instant pot pro any time soon! I really need this thing to make my yogurt!
The extra sealing ring is included so you can change them out between sweet & savory cooking.
Thanks! I contacted them and they replaced mine as well. I got a great deal and that sale was over, didn't want to return a DOA and lose those savings.
Thank you, Indigo! I was one of those dips that was trying to "install" the red gasket into the clear one :-(
Wow, that is perfect customer service. Wish more places stepped up like that. The only error I’ve ever gotten was “burned” but not sure why.
Not enough liquid, add a little more, stir and restart it.

Hola, ¿Esta nueva olla volvió a darte el error 3 o no dió errores? Gracias.

I’m brand new to instant pot. If you were to only have one instant pot which one would you choose?
I believe the max setting is for canning and jarring.
Max pressure is for canning!
I don't use it more than once a week, but mine is six years old and still working. Knock on wood.
Is it still working
did you know they have an Instant Pot Pro Max!??? not sure if they ever released it though can't find it any where accept on their websight
it doesn't come with a glass lid for non-pressure cooking methods?
That exact thing with the same timeframe happened to me. I reached out today. Let’s see what happens.
Update: Customer service told me to buy a new one. 😢
I love my stovetop pressure cookers. I’ve only had to replace gaskets and a pressure valve once. I gave my Instant Pots away.
Would you recommend this one or the insta pot pro 8 qts?
I would try a curry cheesecake that sounds good.
Would the max pressures allow for canning ? Anyone 😊
Sadly no. There is no way to safely know the temperature or if it fluctuates. There are pressure canners out there that Rose Red Homestead has tested.
companies treat reviewers differently then regular users.. this is a fact with almost every single company..
OMG i cant choose between Instant Pot Pro Crisp and Ninja Foodie XL can anyone help
Did you pay extra for insurance on your pot? Is that why they were so accommodating?
Nope!

Do you have to be connected to the internet to be able to use the pro plus because older people cannot
No, you can use the pot manually
can you bake a cheesecake in this model?
❤💓❤
Instant Pot parent company just filed for bankruptcy.
I know! It is terrible 😢
