Lovely version. Weird to say but I don't think Bowie gets enough for credit for just how good his voice is. Rarely misses a note, great range and absolutely unique.

I don't know if there is life on Mars, but David, dear David, life is so sad here without you.

My one regret in life: not being able to see David Bowie live. Fly high starman

Part of me thinks his entire career was theatrics...the other part makes me wonder if he's really the STARMAN he's imagined.

I loved living on Mars as an Alien before I was transformed into a human. My Ancestors have been visiting Warminster and other places in search for me but because my skin has changed colour from green to white they cannot find me so I may ask Scottie to beam me up.

He wrote this song something like 40 years before, and he still sings it with such honnesty.

The story is...Bowie was first asked in 1968 to write the english version of "Comme d'habitude". He came up with "Even fools learn to love", which was a total disaster. Finally, it is Paul Anka who wrote...My Way. BUT Bowie never hid he kept a couple chords from that song and wrote LIFE ON MARS...a pure jewel.

How can anyone listen to this song and not feel the passion and emotion of this song. David was a genius songwriter and singer and I miss him so much.

Everyone always talks about what a musical genius he was and rightfully so, but I rarely hear anyone say how beautiful his voice was. He sounded better live than on the record and the emotions in his voice would send a chill through you. He was the whole package and they'll never be another.

Bowie's voice just got better, richer and with more depth as he got older.

One of the absolutely best vocal performances ever.

Strange thing is that his voice was better at live versions than in the studio ones.

Here again in 2021, to listen to something out of this world and beautiful in a world full of misery and gloom at present. David Bowie still lifting spirits today 💔
