Speed is such an underrated movie. Saw it as a kid when it came out on VHS (I remember my friend's parents went to see it in the theater, while us kids went to a different screen to watch The Mask, I believe) FUN FACT: When I saw The Mask in theaters, the scene where Stanley Ipkiss is in jail telling his dog to find a new home, I cried. I was a child, lol.

There is at least one out of three 90s movies that I would love to see you do a review on. Seven: A "modern" noir detective movie with a great cast. Good Will Hunting: Damon and Williams gave us chills The Little Giants: A kind hearted movie about underdog kids that can overcome, and also no one makes movies like that anymore.

Not completely 90s, but I would love to hear your thoughts on the Lethal Weapon films. To me, the first is just as much an action classic as Die Hard is, and just as much a Christmas movie to boot!
I saw this in a double feature with Beverly Hills Cop 3. Me and my friend were both fans of the first two BHC movies. We'd heard the new one wasn't good, but we figured, "Hey, how bad can it be?" ... The theater shows Speed first, which we knew very little about. We thought it was going to be the worst of the two. We're thinking, "Well, at least we'll get the crappy one out of the way first." It completely blew us away. It's still one of my top ten action movies. And then BHC3 comes on. Less said about that the better. But I will always be grateful to BHC3 and that theater for showing that double feature, because without it I probably wouldn't have seen Speed on the big screen, and that would have sucked.
Speed is cinema perfection!! Thanks for doing it justice! You even highlighted that killer score! Now I’ll be super disappointed if you don’t follow this up with a Con-Air review!!

This was the movie that I watched at a high-end home theatre store at the mall as a 15yr old- my first experience of Laserdisc and DTS Surround sound through a monster Yamaha AVR - awesometacular indeed!!
@Jeremy if nothing else good comes from the awful Covid 19, if it let's you review some classics of the 80's 90's and even older fair then it is a benefit for all if the fans of the channel good Sir.
So when’s the Speed 2: Cruise Control review coming?
Pretty sure that will earn the coveted dog shit rating!
Oh God, no. Even people who don't watch movies regularly know that Speed 2 is Dogshit.
That's a movie someone would have to pay me to watch.
@@LupusNoir I've always felt that was more of a "good time if you're drunk" movie. It's a terrible sequel, but an okay standalone movie.
Is it worth watching even if I'm bored out of my mind? Still to this day havent even watched it.
Finally some good appreciation for the movie
I still remember the first time watching it about a year ago and man have I watched it 4 times since then
The premise, simple
The protagonist, relatable
The action, amazing!!
This film got me the biggest adrenaline rush I've ever had watching a movie!!
Great review. Love your enthusiasm. Now I have to go and watch that movie again.
I remember watching this when I was young on laser disc. Still to this day I have moments watching the film when you needed to switch the disc over on the opposite side to watch the rest of the film back then but watching now I’m like wait I needed to switch sides. Speed is awesome and my god the soundtrack for this film makes this movie so much better. There are moments I’m driving on the freeway humming the main theme to myself switching lanes and just getting by. Stay safe out there folks. Jeremy you rock brother
_I'd like to take his _*_face...off!_*
-Castor Troy
*I'm Castor Troy!*
-Castor Troy
WEEEEEE! What a predicament!
I could eat a peach for hours
It’s like looking in a mirror, only not.
YESSSS!!! I'm Castor Troy.....
I'M CASTOR TROY!!!
I’d love it if Jeremy or another reviewer tackled one of the BIONICLE movies, either as an outsider or someone who knows about the lore.
Great review, I’ve actually never seen the beginning of Speed. I miss Dennis Hopper
You've become a nostalgia dopamine high through pixels. Love ya.
Speed is such an underrated movie. Saw it as a kid when it came out on VHS (I remember my friend's parents went to see it in the theater, while us kids went to a different screen to watch The Mask, I believe)
FUN FACT: When I saw The Mask in theaters, the scene where Stanley Ipkiss is in jail telling his dog to find a new home, I cried. I was a child, lol.
Speed was not underrated. It’s one of the 90’s movies that set the bar for many and plus it was a box office smash.
WTF is The Mast?
This movie has one of my favorite one-liners after killing the bad guy.
"I'm the guy with the plan! What are you gonna do??? I'm smarter than you Jack! I'M SMARTER THAN YOU! ...AHHHHH" * SPLOOT *
"Yeah? WELL, I'M TALLER!"
There is at least one out of three 90s movies that I would love to see you do a review on.
Seven: A "modern" noir detective movie with a great cast.
Good Will Hunting: Damon and Williams gave us chills
The Little Giants: A kind hearted movie about underdog kids that can overcome, and also no one makes movies like that anymore.
Jeremy, don't forget about that incredible scene where the bus jumps/flys dude! That scene set tthe bar for all movies that do that like *GONE IN 60 SECONDS* & *DARK KNIGHT RISES* for example
Since you're reviewing early Keanu Reeves, please review "The Replacements" I love that movie
That Speed theme and the getaway theme from Metal Gear Solid sound very similar.
One of my all-time favorites! Very glad you reviewed it.
I recommend the Nicolas Cage "Beige Volvo Trilogy": The Rock, Con Air, and Face Off (or at least which of them you haven't reviewed already)
That tagline is amazing "Get Ready For Rush Hour"
Also ... some sort of Nicolas Cage 90's action The Rock, Con Air, Face/Off review would be great
Sooooo.
Are You gonna review Star Wars Clone Wars s7 when that's all set? I'd really like to hear your thoughts on it. Especially the finale cause OH MY GOD....just....Christ. So many emotions.
metalgamer 817 Very much so. We’re in that Siege of Mandalore storyline that connects into Episode 3 and referenced by The Mandalorian. And you can feel the clock ticking down to Order 66
That Ahsoka vs Maul fight was pure awesome.
@@benwasserman8223 yooooo the reunion for Anakin and Ahsoka is painful and I love it. And AHSOKA. VS. DARTH MAUL MMMMMM that is just some TASTY SHIT lol And yes the tension is just slowly rising and the ending to Phantom Apprentice was just BONE chilling....oof
Ribotto Studios You can tell Maul is legit terrified about what Sidious is about to do. He’s ironically the only one trying to stop what’s about to happen, albeit for selfish reasons
Just throwing this out there, but maybe you should review the first Terminator.
The Demon's Reflection he already did years ago
Jereme, I’ve know “you’re always in the mood for speed” for about a decade now. Great movie review though!
It would be fun to compare Speed 2! haha! I would also love to see you review Con Air!
Not completely 90s, but I would love to hear your thoughts on the Lethal Weapon films.
To me, the first is just as much an action classic as Die Hard is, and just as much a Christmas movie to boot!
To quote Jeff Daniel’s character Harry from the movie. “ I’m going to go home...have some sex.” Lol.
Your going to go home and pass out...
-Oh, Harry... You're gonna go home and throw up.
-Yeah, well... That'll be fun too.
My favorite line in the movie too 👍
shame he got killed when the villain blew up him and the swat team.
Will Huey . Yeah I was like damn. He got checkmated.
I saw this in a double feature with Beverly Hills Cop 3. Me and my friend were both fans of the first two BHC movies. We'd heard the new one wasn't good, but we figured, "Hey, how bad can it be?"
...
The theater shows Speed first, which we knew very little about. We thought it was going to be the worst of the two. We're thinking, "Well, at least we'll get the crappy one out of the way first."
It completely blew us away.
